Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 476: Chapter 475: Viso-Viso Fruit and Metronome

Sorlithia, Speed, and Mizerka, the three original timeline Headliners of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, now received their promotion qualifications early. Of course, like Yamato back then, each one was bruised and battered, with quite a few blood marks on their bodies.

This is the normal way of fighting at this age. Individuals like Yamato, who brandish the Wolf Fang Club, are the real outliers.

The rest were not sent home directly. After all, they had passed the initial test, and compared to those who didn’t even get past the initial test, they naturally would have some priority rights.

But those are matters for the future. These people were sent to the Hundred Beasts Pokemon Center for simple treatment. They don’t possess Yamato’s exaggerated physique that can restore stamina just by breathing, so it was necessary to get a physical check at the hospital.

However, they indeed inherited the pirate trait of being brave and combative. If they were given weapons, they might truly have caused fatalities just now.

Afterwards, Yamato and the others held a simple farewell for Robin, and then it was a matter of waiting, waiting for Tesoro’s return. He had previously settled the mining company’s issues on Fishman Island, and now a large amount of minerals would be transported up from the seabed every month.

At the same time, his film was almost complete, with most of the necessary underwater filming done. What remained were special effects and editing, tasks that couldn’t be done on Fishman Island and required a return to the Red Earth Continent.

Since the establishment of the film department of Hundred Beasts Fruits, Tesoro had been diligently recruiting from across the sea. To be precise, since he became the CEO of Hundred Beasts Fruits, this process had never stopped. Baccarat and Tanaka were among the talents he found during this process.

Unlike Kaidou, who pursued power, Tesoro focused more on practicality. Thus, the individuals with the Luck-Luck Fruit and Pierce-Pierce Fruit were recruited under his command. During that time, he discovered another interesting girl.

An, a Paramecia-type Viso-Viso Fruit user, although her phantoms couldn’t deceive perception like those of Zoroark, they could be used as substitutes for Olga’s ability.

The biggest difference between these two abilities is that Olga’s ability relies on her mental calculation, simulating things she can think of, whereas An’s phantoms, created by the Viso-Viso Fruit, are completely image-based.

As long as she touches an illustration or photo depicting a creature, she can create a phantom of it.

No matter how small the illustration she touches, the phantoms created are the same size as the real thing.

Additionally, the phantoms can mimic the person’s actions and speech. If the target is a ”Devil Fruit” ability user, it can even fully replicate their abilities, though these are just harmless illusions.

With an illustration, she can create and control any phantom. It lacks the deceptive, durable, and flexible qualities of Olga’s but is less taxing than Olga’s.

After all, Olga’s ability can deceive a person’s perception, while hers only deceives vision. The phantoms are very short-lived and can’t converse, merely repeating actions and recordings like a video.

Yet her ability has a unique feature: her phantoms can reproduce information and abilities unknown even to An herself, known only to the person involved.

In other words, as long as she obtains a photo of someone, she can use the phantom’s actions to deduce the person’s abilities and further gather intelligence, though the stronger the enemy, the harder it is to achieve.

Olga can create a phantom of Kaidou that fights continuously with just imagination, but An’s phantom might last only a few seconds.

But for Tesoro, this was enough. Now she is a highly important intelligence officer within Hundred Beasts Fruits.

Through her and Baccarat’s lucky abilities, Tesoro could always grasp some of his competitors’ habits and make arrangements in advance, making those who competed with him feel like every move was under his control.

Meanwhile, she was also an important member of the film department, mainly responsible for dubbing and special effects production. Though only eleven, when Tesoro recruited her, she was already a songstress.

He discovered An while passing an island, when she was almost taken by a group of pirates. Her original folk art troupe was attacked by pirates and no longer existed. She survived for a while using some phantoms.

After dealing with the pirates, Tesoro naturally brought An back, promising to make her famous in the future, and signing her as an artist with Hundred Beasts Fruits.

Both he and Stella had some fame in the entertainment industry, and Hundred Beasts Fruits was a legitimate company, so she easily believed Tesoro.

At this time, she was busy creating special effects within the company, while Tesoro and Baccarat once again arrived at Ghost Island.

His report was very detailed, emphasizing the role of Baccarat’s ability in the company’s development, which earned Baccarat a designated skill—Metronome.

By waving her fingers to stimulate the brain, it’s a magical skill that might use any ability. Its biggest feature is unpredictability; hours of finger waving might just yield a Splash, or it could unleash a super effective high-powered move.

And Baccarat’s fruit ability is a perfect match for this skill. Theoretically, with the Luck-Luck Fruit added to Metronome, she could always use the most suitable skill.

But theory is theory, and reality is somewhat harsh. Just now, when using Metronome, Baccarat successfully used Bullet Seed to clear the target in front of her, but the cost was that she almost collapsed.

Ordinary people using Pokemon abilities consume their own stamina, and Baccarat’s stamina is that of an ordinary person, even on the weaker side among ordinary people. A few abilities would exhaust her stamina.

Bullet Seed, a skill that doesn’t consume much, left her panting. A high-power skill is almost impossible for her to use, and the prep time for the move is quite long.

”Tesoro, make sure she trains more when you return; her physical condition is severely lacking.”

”I understand. I’ll pay attention to that. If you have no other issues, I’ll head back first. To release the movie, we need to sort out some relationships, and you’re aware of the conduct of those World Nobles.”

”No issues. But this time, you need to take one more person with you—Robin.”

Nico Robin was summoned by Arceus. Looking at this girl, Tesoro did not understand Arceus’s intentions.

”From now on, she is your temporary assistant. Take her to familiarize herself with the outside environment. Once you feel she can handle things proficiently, she can leave.”
