Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 488: Chapter 487: Doflamingo Is Being Backstabbed

Neither Doflamingo nor Law considered whether Robin was an imposter, because no one dared to fake the flag of a Sea Emperor.

If they didn’t know how powerful they were, they wouldn’t use the flag; if they did, they’d be too afraid to use it. Plus, there were too many ignorant fools at sea. This time, Doflamingo was smart enough to know how terrifying Kaidou could be.

For a native North Sea person, Kaidou’s flag might not be as threatening as a person from the North Sea with a 20 million bounty, so there simply were no imposters claiming to be under a Sea Emperor’s power across the Four Seas.

And just in case, even if Robin turned out to be fake, he’d still treat her as real. This way, he’d lose nothing. If he really crossed Kaidou in any way, he might never step into the New World.

The Lone Hero incident made all ambitious people understand the consequences of offending those monsters.

”Fufufufufu, pass my greetings to Mr. Kaidou. This treasure is yours, but there shouldn’t be a problem if I take my ’family’ away, right?”

”No need, I just want a vase. As for the greetings, Mr. Kaidou is likely too busy for that.”

Robin got up and walked towards the place where the previous artifact dealer mentioned the storage location, showing her stance.

”Wait, you don’t want the Zoan-type Devil Fruit either?”

The sunglasses concealed his gaze, and although Robin’s appearance disrupted his plans, he wasn’t angry. He knew such childish antics were futile.

Rather than brood over someone he couldn’t afford to offend, he seized the opportunity. Establishing a connection with the Beasts Pirates would undoubtedly smooth future dealings.

Zoan-type Devil Fruits were constantly sought by the Beasts Pirates, and as a Devil Fruit dealer in the North Sea, he had quite a few. This was the only opportunity he could think of.

”...Call this number, and someone will handle the related transactions with you.”

Robin was also tasked with finding certain things during her outing, and she wouldn’t decline a deal that came her way. She casually handed Doflamingo a Radio Snail number.

Seeing how straightforwardly Robin gave him her contact, he was even more convinced she was with the Beasts. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so decisive.

After all, according to the Beasts’ exposed intelligence, they would seize any opportunity to trade for Zoan-type Devil Fruits anyway.

If Robin had continuously evaded this, her identity would’ve been suspect.

”Fufufufufu, Miss Robin, is there anywhere you need to go? I might be of some assistance in the North Sea.”

”No need, a normal fruit isn’t worth a special trip anyway.”

”Of course, it won’t just be an ordinary fruit. Well, I won’t bother Miss Robin anymore. Baby-5, Buffalo, Law, let’s go.”

The treasure here, though valuable, wouldn’t run away. He could collect what was left after Robin took what she wanted.

So he immediately decided to leave with baby-5 and others, though some people weren’t cooperating with him.

”Wait, Law, where are you going! Didn’t you hear what the Young Master said?”

Only those who initially revered him for his Supreme King presence, like Trebol and others, called him ”Doffy,” while everyone else called him ”Young Master,” especially the children raised by the Donquixote family.

However, for Law, the Beasts were essential.

”Don’t go! What happened to Sister Misu?!”

”I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Noticing the white spots on Law’s face, and coupled with his precise mention of Sister Misu’s name, Robin instinctively thought of the Platinum Lead disease, realizing he was another orphan from Freyvans.

Yet she had no reason to explain this matter. Acquiring Devil Fruits was the Beasts’ usual operation. If Doflamingo could produce quality goods, she’d naturally give him the contact information without revealing anything else unnecessarily.

”Your medicine is completely fake! It doesn’t work for Platinum Lead sickness at all... uh...”

He didn’t finish his sentence as Doflamingo suddenly appeared behind him, covering his mouth. Cutting off a revenue stream felt like killing one’s parents; in Doflamingo’s view, the Hundred Beasts Fruit’s pharmaceuticals were a massive scheme. If Law continued talking, he might provoke the other party.

Robin also ignored him, leaving after she got what she came for.

...

By this time, Nico Robin had already left, while Doflamingo unceremoniously tossed Law aside.

”Law, it seems you’ve forgotten something...”

His tone wasn’t friendly, for even if Law was a family member, he wouldn’t tolerate interference with his plans. Clearly, Law had just disrupted those plans.

After giving Law a lesson, Doflamingo went on to contact the person Robin had directed, intending to make good of this opportunity with the Zoan Fruit he had.

Shortly after, Law revealed his real name during a conversation with Buffalo and baby-5.

Seeing Robin’s negligence as evidence of the deception, he felt he didn’t have much time left and thus saw no need to keep the secret anymore. All of this was inadvertently heard by Rosinante.

Although he was Doflamingo’s biological younger brother, his current identity was a Navy undercover agent directly under Sengoku. He treated the family kids harshly to drive them away from Doflamingo.

Upon hearing Law’s name with the ”D”, he became more thoughtful. He didn’t know what ”D” truly meant, but he had heard the term ”God’s Natural Enemy.”

His conversation with Law made them more familiar, and he temporarily took Law away from the Donquixote family in pursuit of treatment.

Meanwhile, several calls were made from these people’s hands.

”Great Sengoku, it’s me, little Misu.”

Little Misu was Rosinante’s codename, while Great Sengoku belonged to Sengoku.

”Rosinante, what’s going on?”

”I have some personal matters to resolve, so I wish to delay the mission a bit. Also... it seems Doflamingo has made contact with Kaidou.”

”?!”

Following this, for some reason, Doflamingo sensed Tsuru’s pursuit becoming more intense, though not as easily apprehended as before.

Vergo successfully entered the Navy and began to climb through the ranks, while over at Ghost Island, several operations were in preparation.

”Queen, you’re taking the lead on this war support mission, right?”
