Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 382: Chapter 381: Kaidou’s Little Scheme

Regarding where Page One should live, Ulti and Jack had a new argument. After all, Page One is only three years old, and according to his own wishes, he temporarily sleeps in the same room with Ulti. This situation will gradually change as he gets older.

However, while Page One was asleep, Ulti was not. In the middle of the night, she quietly walked out of the room.

The Chansey outside seemed to be sleeping soundly, but Ulti had no idea that they slept with one eye open and one eye closed. Even if Yamato mumbled in her sleep, they would immediately wake up.

But now they turned a blind eye to Ulti as they too had received prior instructions. Of course, in reality, Ulti’s every move was under the surveillance of Kaidou and Arceus.

This is the Ghost Island today. Through Rotom, even without stepping out, without using Observation Haki, they could monitor every corner of Ghost Island.

”Ohohoho, this little girl isn’t bad. She acted earlier than I expected.”

Kaidou had given Ulti a hint and then deliberately let Yamato take them out to play. With Yamato’s personality, she would never miss the Numberers’ ranking matches.

He just wanted to see what choice Ulti would make under such circumstances.

The opportunity has already been given. This is the biggest opportunity for them as siblings to stay ahead of others at the starting line. If it doesn’t work, they have to train slowly.

Kaidou estimated that Ulti would take action within a week, but she acted on the first day.

”Although I have no objection to you doing this, after all, creating a few more similar abilities isn’t impossible. But are you sure they know the way?”

”Hmm?”

”Yamato didn’t take this pair of siblings to the treasury. Are you sure it’s her first time here, she can successfully find the location of the treasury?”

Kaidou fell silent. Ghost Island is his home, and he is extremely familiar with it. But as Arceus mentioned, Ulti might not be able to find the way.

”I knew you would forget something, Rotom.”

A Rotom heard the words and flew over.

”Send a message to Olga and let her lead the way, but don’t be discovered.”

Through the contacts and friends developed by Omanyte, the Hundred Beasts are eavesdropping on the World Government’s communications every day. Some secret messages are obtained in this way, and those agents must have a lot of eavesdropping Radio Snails, while white anti-eavesdropping Radio Snails are very rare, indicating that Radio Snails are not absolutely safe.

So the Hundred Beasts are popularizing a secondary communication tool, Rotom.

Nowadays, almost every cadre has a Radio Snail + Rotom. The Radio Snail is used for ordinary contact, such as regular reports from external islands.

Some secretive action plans, like the development of Tesoro, rely on Rotom Phones for covert troop movements.

Even if the Radio Snail turns the world upside down, it can’t steal the signal from Rotom.

As for someone, like Punk Hazard, if they can develop a machine to intercept the waves emitted by Rotom, they are impressive.

However, such top-tier talents shouldn’t be fools. They wouldn’t be devoted to the World Government’s cause without leaving a backup plan.

Orders come from above, and people run their legs off below. Olga had just laid down when she received a message from Rotom. The Rotom Phone can be set to Do Not Disturb, but Arceus’s orders have a higher priority than their own settings.

So Olga’s Rotom floated right in front of her and announced the task.

”.....Why me?”

”Loto, do you want to send a reply?”

”No, I’ll just go.”

She’s not complaining, just not understanding why such a trivial matter requires her to go personally. After all, she’s considered a graduate now yet had to lead the way for a beginner.

Though it was to keep things secret and not hurt the other party’s self-esteem, it still seemed like overkill.

However, this outing made her discover something special, like her father seemed to be doing something sneaky.

As the only weakling among the cadre on Ghost Island, the only one without any Haki, Asie certainly couldn’t detect Olga using illusion invisibility.

Olga’s daily routine is very regular, which is why he came out at this time. However, Olga didn’t pay much attention to Asie. At over two hundred years old, he should have some grasp of things.

...

On the other side, as expected, Ulti got lost. Although Ghost Island isn’t built like a labyrinth, it’s large enough that it takes ten minutes to walk from the bedroom to the bathroom.

And she was avoiding those who might see her, making her movements very slow. When Olga found her based on Rotom’s monitoring, she had just reached the area next to the stairs.

And she had gone the wrong way. This staircase leads to the power station, not the treasury room. The only thing she could find there was an Electivire.

Under Olga’s influence, Ulti found that the path ahead seemed to have changed.

”What’s going on? Why is there a dead end here?”

With a living navigation, Ulti finally found her destination smoothly, then pulled out her ID card.

”Let me think, how did that white-haired guy say it again... Oh, right, swipe the card.”

Looking at the entry card slot, she jumped several times before successfully swiping her card, and Rotom, based on newly entered data, placed the prepared fruits at the front.

Looking around to make sure no one was there, Ulti picked up two fruits and left the treasury.

...

”Little Pe, Little Pe, wake up.”

This was also one of the reasons she insisted on sharing a room with Page One because it wouldn’t be as easy to operate otherwise.

”Sister?”

Page One clearly didn’t understand what was going on, but Ulti didn’t allow him to ask. She directly pulled out the two fruits.

”Little Pe, hurry, pick one to eat.”

”What is this?”

”These are Devil Fruits. Eat them, and you’ll gain power. As you’ve seen, this is a pirate group that needs power. Without power, you won’t have any status here. You pick first.”

The change in the Urent Pirates made her understand even more how important strength is. She somewhat misunderstood the competition mechanism within the Hundred Beasts since the people in the ring didn’t hold back at all.

Under the night sky, Page One couldn’t see the appearance of the fruits clearly and just randomly grabbed one.

”Quick, eat it all, don’t leave anything.”

She just wanted to destroy the evidence.

”Sister... it’s so hard to eat...”

After just taking a bite, Page One’s expression twisted extensively.

”Hard to eat or not, you have to finish it. Bear with it, Little Pe. It’s all for the future.”

And then she pinched her nose and ate the fruit, skin and all...
