Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 376: Chapter 375: Kuma God and History

[October 27, 1505, Sunny

Time always passes so quickly, and Perona has grown little by little, albeit with different interests. She gets along well with Robin, and they really hit it off on some topics.]

Halfway through writing, she propped her cheek with one hand and looked at Zeraora who was training and Perona playing with the teddy bear.

Half a year ago, she got engaged to Zeraora. Although the progress was slow, life was sweet. In fact, the life of the Fur Race wasn’t that complicated; when two people took a liking to each other, they just called a few friends, and with the blessing rain of the Elephant Lord as a witness, they were considered married.

However, she, after all, lived outside and was much more sophisticated than the native residents of Zou. Additionally, Zeraora himself didn’t have much experience, and there weren’t any experienced people within the Hundred Beasts either, leaving only an overly romantic Tesoro and a clueless Queen giving random advice.

In the end, it evolved into this situation where, even after dating for several years, they only reached the step of engagement, truly responding to the late marriage policy.

However, even with an engagement, Ghost Island helped them celebrate well once. This was the first confirmed couple within the Hundred Beasts.

At that time, a drunken Kaidou made a promise to hold a wedding even more lively than Charlotte Linlin’s tea party, so they first got engaged.

In this regard, Arceus also gave a guarantee. In a sense, Zeraora is considered his ”eldest son” in this world.

Zeraora and Perona gave her a sense of home, not the original one, but a new one belonging to her.

During the engagement ceremony, she asked for a favor for Perona, giving her Kumashi true life.

It was no longer just a stuffed toy but became a Bewear.

Due to Perona’s preference, it was still a yellow shiny Bewear.

At this moment, this Bewear was playing amiably with Perona. It wasn’t just a playmate but also an excellent bodyguard.

If it weren’t for this Bewear being created by Arceus, Setsuna probably wouldn’t dare let it play with Perona.

Although it looked like a cute teddy bear, Bewear was extremely dangerous, possessing muscle strength comparable to Machamp.

And like how cat and dog tail wagging have different meanings, if a Bewear waved its arms while smiling, it wasn’t showing affection but a threat.

As a bear, bear hugs were its forte, and it could even wrestle with Babanuki, being the current strongest wrestling coach at Kuri Farm.

If it weren’t because injuring spinal columns here wasn’t much different from ordinary fractures, there might have been far more disabled people.

It seemed to inherit the memories of the teddy bear era and was very friendly to Perona, also listening well to Zeraora and Setsuna, so Setsuna could safely let it act as a nanny since Perona couldn’t resist Bewear’s power.

”Kuku, nai.”

For example, now, looking at the sunlight overhead, Bewear decided it was time to take her home and directly put her on its tail to bring her back.

Bewear had strong control over its power and also helped Perona achieve one thing; because she couldn’t escape Bewear’s embrace, she inadvertently comprehended the soul-out-of-body ability of the Hollow-Hollow Fruit.

So sometimes the Perona people saw wasn’t necessarily Perona, it could just be her soul.

Bewear’s appearance could become its greatest disguise, and in a few more years, this pair would surely bring enough surprise to their enemies, whether it was protecting Perona’s body or delivering a fatal blow when the enemy was off-guard.

The Bear God’s bear hug isn’t something an average person can withstand.

[Last time Wanda was promised to be brought to Wano Kuni for fun, let’s do it in a few days.]

After pausing the pen, she opened a new layer of the drawer, as another layer was already filled with notebooks.

....

Meanwhile, on Ghost Island, the new generation continues with their training. Hancock and others were just borrowing the training equipment here, while the Kuja have their inherited training methods. Those chosen as new Warriors to head out to sea naturally remember these training techniques.

The three years of slavery didn’t affect Hancock’s strength, and now with this kind of independent training, there’s certainly no issue with her strength. The training equipment here was custom-made for people of their age group.

Although Hancock was a bit older, her physical size wasn’t much different.

Robin still had a half-idle stance, but she had a small booklet in her hand now, containing data she had collected over these years observing Pokemon, and the mysterious evolution piqued her curiosity, as it did for some scholars from Ohara.

Five years allowed the incident of Ohara to gradually be forgotten by the world, and some scholars had the qualification to enter the mainland of Wano Kuni. They researched Pokemon during this time and sometimes even moonlighted as history teachers in Wano Kuni.

Hundred Beasts hadn’t twisted the history too much, but the outcome of that night’s great battle was blamed on Kurozumi Orochi.

As for Kozuki Oden, they merely told some things truthfully.

For example, when he was zero, he threw his wet nurse harshly, entering the red-light district at six, brawling with gamblers after drinking at eight, being blacklisted by the mafia at nine, and burning down the mafia’s casino when enraged, being arrested for violent assault.

At ten, he served time in the quarry as a prisoner.

At fourteen, he altered the river course and caused a great flood, at fifteen, he stirred the harem chaos in Wano Kuni.

Except for changing the river being a well-intentioned mistake, without Kozuki’s identity, he should’ve died 800 times already, then it focused on him irresponsibly leaving Wano Kuni, being deceived by Kurozumi Orochi.

No artistic rendition was needed, forming the image of a fool, which even Kozuki Oden’s Household Attendants couldn’t argue against.

Robin continued to balance physical training with academic research, while Iscariot joined the training too, and her sparring target was Jack. At this moment, Jack was in a Beastman mode of Copperajah, standing still while receiving Iscariot’s attacks.

”Not enough, not enough strength. What are you hesitating for? You can’t injure me at all.”

Jack’s classic training method involved taking hits, and to wound him to the point of having to use his abilities meant Steel Cutting was a basic requirement, which Iscariot was far from achieving, hence Jack could safely be used as a target.

Meanwhile, the Navy didn’t just sit idly these years, with newspapers often promoting the Navy’s accomplishments, destroying various pirate groups and saving different countries.

As for the way they saved countries, a certain prodigious youth killed the five hundred soldiers who were hostages captured by pirates, and then killed all the pirates, directly and swiftly resolving the issue.

The rescue operation was even more concise than the Alpha Assault Squad’s, and had those soldiers known the outcome beforehand, they might have joined the pirates on the spot.

But Kaidou found something in the newspaper.

”I’m going out for a bit, won’t take too long.”
