Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 360: Chapter 59: Is This Guy a Masochist?

Chinjao got his head flattened by Garp, and although he lost his prideful pointed head, his Armament Haki didn’t weaken.

Zeraora and Chinjao’s fists clashed repeatedly. After some probing, Chinjao once again charged headfirst at Zeraora.

Hasshoken, though named after punches, is used differently by each generation’s practitioner. Chinjao uses his head, Old Cai uses his foot. This style of combat is more like a special force technique.

Facing Chinjao’s top-down headbutt, Zeraora didn’t meet it head-on but used his flying advantage to avoid it and kicked sideways at Chinjao’s head.

BOOM!

A thundering crash echoed across the Jade Ice Glacier.

Chinjao didn’t expect Zeraora to avoid directly but chose this method. With his own downward momentum plus Zeraora’s kick, he directly smashed into the ice surface.

BOOM! BOOM!

The Jade Ice Glacier was not only solid but also very smooth. Chinjao slid a long distance before stopping.

Moreover, in this process, some ice pillars on the ice surface were also broken by Chinjao’s body. These ice pillars, unlike the glacial floor, didn’t have such a solid texture. The loud noises were the sound of falling ice pillars.

However, this was the result of Zeraora’s moves to borrow and counter the force.

Amidst the collapsed ice pillars, the sound of rustling echoed, and Chinjao crawled out from within. Shattered ice debris constantly fell from him, and aside from the numerous damage to his clothes, he didn’t seem injured.

”Yah ha ha ha, cunning brat, but if you think that’ll beat me, you’re far from it! Treasure thieves!”

”I told you, we’re not treasure thieves, it’s just a misunderstanding. We’re just curious about the ice layers and came here to see the aurora. Can’t you, as someone your age, be less impulsive?”

Looking at the furious Chinjao, Zeraora’s tone remains unchanged. If Chinjao is only this speed, he’ll never catch up to him.

But Chinjao still didn’t listen to his explanation and kept attacking Zeraora from different angles, but was always dodged by Zeraora.

”Brat, what are you scared of? Have the guts to take my head-on attack! Capable of cracking the Jade Ice Glacier, are you afraid?!”

”I just don’t want trouble on my travels, that’s all.”

Zeraora recognized the ”Eight Treasures” on Chinjao’s clothes. The Eight Treasures Water Army are the local tyrants of the Flower Country. Naturally, traveling Zeraora didn’t want to affect Setsuna’s family’s mood.

Setsuna shared a similar thought. She thought that once Chinjao calmed down, he’d listen to reason, but they underestimated how much Chinjao valued the treasures here.

Unable to hit Zeraora, Chinjao changed tactics and targeted Setsuna instead.

He didn’t believe both Fur Race members had such strength.

However, although Setsuna couldn’t match Zeraora, she wasn’t just for show. As Chinjao charged, a peculiar glint flashed in her eyes.

Fighting Skills - Detect.

If Protect is akin to another version of the Barrier-Barrier Fruit, then Detect is like a brief Observation Haki to foresee the future. Chinjao’s next attack position, intention, force, and how to block it all flashed rapidly in Setsuna’s mind.

Then, Setsuna’s claws elongated, flowing with a metallic sheen. The crossed metallic claws successfully blocked Chinjao’s attack. However, due to the tremendous impact and slick ice surface, she was pushed back quite a distance.

Setsuna’s frail frame managing to withstand the headbutt exceeded Chinjao’s expectations, but a strong electric crackling erupted in the air.

Zzzt zzzt, before he could turn his head, Zeraora’s foot struck him.

”Do you just not listen when people try to explain?!”

He didn’t mind playing along with Chinjao, as long as he didn’t involve Setsuna.

”Yah ha ha ha, are you angry? Seeing you standing on my treasures, I feel the same way you do.”

Hearing Chinjao, Zeraora suddenly understood some things.

”Seems like normal methods won’t work. I’ll have to bring you down first.”

”If you can, then try! But scurrying around like an eel, I doubt you have the ability.”

Zeraora’s braid-like structure began to sway with the electric current. Those familiar with him know it’s a sign of his irritation.

”Hasshoken Ultimate Technique - Mukiryu Mukirikugi.”

This was originally the ultimate technique of Hasshoken, Kiryu Kirikugi. But after his head flattened, Chinjao’s move became this, unique to him.

”I know a Navy fellow who always says speed is power. I’ll give you those words today.”

Borsalino’s quote about speed and power was replicated by Zeraora. As Chinjao leaped into the sky, using his body weight to boost his attack’s force, Zeraora didn’t intend to dodge again.

Electric currents swirled around him, and his limbs almost entered an electrical state, which wasn’t elementalization, but the Plasma Lightning Fist’s plasma. In this state, Zeraora’s speed would peak.

Without using Electromagnetic Suspension, he stomped heavily on the ice, leveraging the counterforce to charge at the descending Chinjao.

”Mega Kick!”

Mega Kick. The ”million tons” is an exaggerated figure, not indicating the kick’s actual weight.

But it is a powerful heavy kick. Under the Plasma Lightning Fist boost, Zeraora’s Normal Type attacks would turn Electric Type. As a native skill, this foot could unleash even greater power.

BOOM!

The lightning-bright foot collided with Chinjao’s Haki-imbued head. At their contact point, the collision nearly tore through the atmosphere.

...

BAM!

After the clash, both almost simultaneously fell. But Zeraora remained standing, while Chinjao was once again blown away, crashing into even more ice pillars, and the ice surface itself seemed to crack.

”Zeraora!”

”I’m fine, but if this guy doesn’t back down, we might have to pick a different country to visit.”

Whether killing Chinjao or otherwise, either result would mean they couldn’t stay in the Flower Country any longer.

This time the force was strong enough that Chinjao didn’t emerge immediately. But Zeraora knew such attacks couldn’t kill an adversary of this level. Ten years ago, he had a bounty exceeding 500 million, a great force on The Sea.

As he expected, Chinjao soon got up again, but this time, with a broad smile, raising his hands, signifying he didn’t wish to continue the fight.

”Zeraora, this guy... could he be a masochist?”

Seeing Chinjao’s smiling face, a bizarre thought crossed Setsuna’s mind.
