Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 380: Chapter 379: Tsundere Will Never Go Out of Style.jpg

Ulti had already labeled Yamato and the others as weirdos. In her eyes, Jack, who pulled down Page One’s pants, and the ”thick-skinned” Yamato were clearly abnormal.

Although Maria hadn’t shown any particularly perverted traits so far, Ulti believed that anyone who could get along well with two perverts must be quite unusual too.

Even though the tsundere tendency was gradually fading, she had inherited this personality trait. At the same time, she was a brother-con, so she was very wary of Jack, who had inappropriate ideas about Page One.

”What a cute kid. Want something to drink? Isn’t your throat sore from shouting so much?”

Ulti’s behavior might annoy some people, but Maria and Yamato didn’t mind at all.

One was overflowing with motherly love, another naturally gregarious, and Jack, who had waited for a brother for so many years, didn’t find any issue with Ulti, just because she was Page One’s sister.

Maria even had the mood to care about her.

”No, I’m not hoarse! Cough... cough cough...”

Though she verbally disagreed, she accidentally choked, and soon, both their stomachs started to rumble.

Kaidou was someone who dared to feed liquor to a baby. Thanks to luck, Yamato and Jack didn’t starve or suffer food poisoning when brought back by him. They survived on leftover dry rations from the base at that time.

On the last day, there was almost nothing left to eat, and Kaidou showed no signs of stopping. He took them straight to Ghost Island and, after all the commotion, they had been starving for a while.

Fortunately, these people were exceptionally resilient, able to feast after long hunger without issue. Otherwise, the siblings would likely face problems.

The cafeteria on Ghost Island always operated on a buffet system. As the aroma of food wafted in, Page One was finding it hard to resist.

”Sister...”

”Little Page, have some backbone. It’s just some food; eating it would make you weird.”

But her words lacked any credibility. Even though Page One wasn’t wearing a mask, Ulti had long formed the habit, and traces of dampness could be seen through her mask.

”Come on, don’t be shy. If you’re hungry, you need to eat. Life won’t be easy for those personally brought back by Mr. Kaidou.”

Maria just thought she was shy, so she picked up Ulti, even though Ulti was resisting, her resistance was clearly just for show.

”Come on, Little Page, is there anything you want to eat?”

”You can’t call him Little Page! Damn it, don’t any of you understand human language?”

”It’s a sign of closeness. Jack is rarely so warm to others, but what should I call you? Little Ul or Little Ti maybe?”

”Don’t go giving weird names like that. I’m just Ulti!”

”Got it, from now on, we’ll just call you by your name.”

A naive tsundere couldn’t sidestep Maria. She might keep up with Yamato, but with Maria, she was lacking.

As time passed, the variety of chefs on Ghost Island grew, and foods from the Four Great Sea Regions and various worldly cuisines were now available.

Newly joined pirates would often instruct chefs on how to make dishes from their hometowns, hoping to taste something familiar.

Meats were always the main theme, but Ulti and her brother seemed particularly interested in starchy foods. Ulti’s attention was caught by a machine making spiral potato towers, while Page One was drawn to freshly fried corn chips with extra spicy cheese sauce.

...

”Yamato, have your tastes changed recently?”

Maria hesitated slightly as she looked at Yamato’s food. Recently, Yamato’s diet had changed significantly, with a newfound fondness for raw salmon.

In front of her was a large plate of salmon tartare salad, along with heaps of salmon sashimi and a hot pot. These were all local foods from Wano Kuni, and while they tasted good, the portions were usually insufficient for her.

”Just trying something new, it’s actually pretty good. Want to give it a try?”

”No, I’m not used to it.”

While Yamato and Maria were chatting, Jack was wrestling with Ulti over the right to feed Page One.

”I’m his sister! It has to be me doing it!”

”Aren’t you hungry too? Your drool is about to drip; just go eat your own food. I’ll take care of your brother.”

Before they could reach a conclusion, Page One had already taken the food himself. However, he could hardly hold on to the oversized bowl and nearly toppled it when someone lent a helping hand.

To be exact, a round hand, as several Chanseys suddenly appeared, robbing both Ulti and Jack of the opportunity.

”Is this... an egg?!”

”Lucky?”

Seeing the appearance of the Chanseys, Ulti increasingly felt like she had come to a strange place.

”They’re Chanseys, a Pokemon created by Father. They are the world’s most magical creatures.”

”Father? You have another father? Is he as dumb as Kaidou?”

”Sister, that’s not the right way to talk about Mr. Kaidou.”

Ulti reached that conclusion when Kaidou offered her alcohol like it was water. She wasn’t badmouthing him behind his back; she had said it directly to Kaidou’s face. He simply laughed it off and didn’t mind at all.

”It’s okay, Father may be dumb, but you shouldn’t speak ill of Father-sama. If Sister Shaina hears, you’ll be in trouble.”

Ulti didn’t insist on saying anything. Being a tsundere doesn’t mean being brainless; when someone directly spells out danger, she’s smart enough not to provoke it, especially given how strange this pirate crew was.

She had reached her limit of hunger tolerance, and looking at the now-cold potato tower, she promptly removed her mask.

She’s not like Kakashi from next door; under the mask is still a mask, and she could even eat everything before her at lightning speed. While others use masks to disguise, he can simply change his hairstyle once he removes his mask, making it unrecognizable.

”You’re quite pretty; why do you wear a mask?”

”I like it, can’t I?”

Ulti provided a straightforward reason. Many people have their signature items, like Luffy’s supreme sandals, Franky’s shorts, Doflamingo’s sunglasses, and now Ulti’s mask.

There’s nothing special about the face under the mask, just a beautiful, ordinary girl.

Hunger left her in no mood to argue, so she dug into the food. Meanwhile, a group of pirates, supporting each other, also walked in.

Two of the pirates seemed to be arguing over something. A notable difference was the numbers 41 and 40 prominently displayed on each of them.
