Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 354: Chapter 353: Strange Requests and Good Days Without Kaidou

There are many similar applications, such as Babanuki applying for an additional caretaker position at the Seastone Mine. Although the appearance of Gigalith has greatly enhanced mining efficiency, Aggron and Geodude have also improved the security level.

But the appetite of these Rock-type Pokemon is also a problem. Minerals are their food source, but their diet isn’t limited to minerals alone; they also need some regular food and special supplements to grow strong.

Regular food is easy to handle, but special foods include but are not limited to Berry products, metal powder, and rare minerals. Allowing them to forage on their own might lead to the loss of some minerals, so Babanuki believes more specialists need to be dispatched.

Himi’s cotton ranch applied for more special personnel who can fly or control the wind or equipment to be dispatched. Although there are currently some Thousand-Year Dragons assisting, Whimsicott and Jumpluff still occasionally go missing.

Even though they are usually brought back soon, it’s best to avoid it altogether.

These are mostly legitimate application reasons, even Mandfeish’s reason seemed pretty serious. Though he can’t fly, as an Aquatic Ability User, he can dive freely.

”That kid Jack is over eight years old now, it wouldn’t be bad for him to go out and see the world. At that time, Mandfeish can take him along.”

Under Kaidou’s guidance, many things can be learned, but some things even Kaidou can’t teach, such as Fishman Jujutsu and Fishman Karate, which are knowledge blind spots for Kaidou.

Although the Fishman Race has mixed their status in a rather awkward manner, Fishman Karate, which impacts enemy internal water to deal higher damage, is one of the few things the Fishmen can present.

This is a skill evolved over thousands of years by the Fishman Race, the art most suitable for them. Moreover, this is not something only Fishmen or Mermaids can learn; in fact, humans can also learn it.

Therefore, this kind of application was quickly approved.

Besides, there were some peculiar applications that were rejected, such as Queen’s suggestion to expand the entrance guard system, proposing to add anti-theft doors to all plantations, which naturally got passed over as it was deemed meaningless.

He did this purely because he was heartbroken over the previous plantation invasion event. There was also Kojiro’s suggestion; after the Hundred Beasts truly took control of Wano Kuni, Kojiro’s business presented a unique monopoly.

On one hand, there were indeed no other merchants in Wano Kuni who could compete with him, but Kojiro’s presence did not destroy this market because he had already become a special state-owned enterprise.

And his application was to find something for Hyogoro to do because now if Hyogoro has no matter to attend to, he trains Kojiro. Even if he has something, he still trains Kojiro. He isn’t a dispirited old man suffering in the mining field because his family and younger brothers perished.

In his prime, he’s still that formidable underworld boss, with formidable Armament and remarkable Swordsmanship often causing Kojiro much distress.

And naturally, this application did not come to fruition. Nowadays, Hyogoro has nothing to do; he, as always, stabilizes some security issues within the Flower Capital and mediates some disputes.

He also cooperates with the new policy plans set by the Hundred Beasts, neither cheering nor causing trouble, just silently observing everything, making training Kojiro the place where he can maximize his value. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Speaking of Armament, there are more than one within the Hundred Beasts stronger than him, so having him teach Kojiro can save quite some time. After all, this is a world where strength decides everything, so enhancing strength is also an indispensable step, even if he is just a merchant by nature.

...

A new day arrived as scheduled, and each year, Yamato’s birthday is her fixed day off, but the next day nothing will change.

However, her room gained a bed yesterday, a bed made entirely of Diamond. This was Diancie’s place, but Yamato thought it was unnecessary because her bed was big enough. Adding one more Diancie in addition to Alcremie wouldn’t be a problem.

But Diancie refused this point and created this Diamond bed on the side because Diamond is the most familiar object for her. However, it was covered with new sheets as well.

Her room is similar to a large duplex, occupying a considerable area within Ghost Island. From the door of the hallway, you enter Chanseys’ quarters, and beyond that is their bedroom. Besides the original three small ones, there are many empty rooms.

Some of them are prepared for newcomers; they originally lived alone, and Chansey also took on the task of dorm guards. If there is any noise in the room, they can rush over at the first moment.

But doors weren’t necessarily needed. For a creature named Kaidou, whether it’s the floor, the ceiling, the windows, or the outer walls, all are places for a possible ambush.

But today was different. A few minutes before the alarm rang, Shaina had already arrived here.

”Lucky?”

Several Chanseys stopped their work to look at Shaina. This duplex room is not only a bedroom, but it also has a kitchen and other equipment besides a bathroom. Chanseys were routinely preparing breakfast, and they handled simple morning meals with ease.

Meat, eggs, milk, vegetables, and simple carbs, compared to the little mountain-like meals of lunch and dinner, these foods were very little.

Initially, Riko was here helping as well, but starting last year, she moved back to living in the Brothel.

But this time she wasn’t just doing simple chores; she was the entire Brothel’s manager. In treating widows of past comrades, Kaidou didn’t mistreat or overstep anything.

”Yeah, it’s me today, or rather, I’ll be responsible here for some time.”

”Lucky~”

As the minute hand moved to 7, the alarms in various rooms rang on time, and within five minutes everyone came out.

And Yamato’s face showed a bit of joy. Although Kaidou often did surprise attacks, more than five minutes meant that he wasn’t responsible for today’s training, at least not in the morning.

”Shaina sister, is it you training today?”

”Yes, Mr. Kaidou left last night, and he probably won’t be back for a while.”

”Hooray!”

Worry about Kaidou? That kind of emotion probably won’t appear in her heart this lifetime. She doesn’t feel any danger will arise with Kaidou leaving Wano Kuni, rather it’s others who should be worried.

”Don’t be happy too early. My training won’t be easy either, Lord Sacred Beast has already set new targets for you.”

”It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s much better than Father’s training.” Although Kaidou leaving doesn’t mean the training difficulty will be reduced, at least this training won’t be life-threatening.
