Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 135: Chapter 134: Yamato’s Hundred-Day Banquet, Setting Out for Wano Kuni

The events inside the hall did not spread outside, there was no need to publicize such matters in advance; it was enough for a few core members to know.

Apart from Setsuna, there was no naive person present, and Setsuna didn’t understand what was happening, so there was no need for any special confidentiality.

Fortunately, Shaina was not there due to other matters, otherwise she might have flown into a rage and gone after Kurozumi Higurashi. Considering the timing, she shouldn’t have gone far; this kind of deceit was already her bottom line.

Even when King explained to her what had happened back then, her fury was no less than Arceus, and if it weren’t for Arceus’s orders, she might have dared to assassinate Kurozumi Orochi.

Then the Hundred Beasts celebrated once more, but Kurozumi Orochi was placed on the death list, and then came the preparations for the relocation of Hundred Beasts.

The relocation of ordinary people might take several days, not to mention the massive organization the Hundred Beasts Pirates had; the transfer of the main island meant many things had to be rearranged.

It was already the end of the year, and with this delay, it had reached 1495. After more than a month of working hard, Hundred Beasts had completed most personnel transfers.

While planning to head to Wano Kuni, they couldn’t abandon their other territories, and had to decide who would guard which island, what businesses to set up, etc., and this speed was already fast enough.

The people originally on Winter Island surprisingly felt some reluctance regarding the relocation of the Hundred Beasts headquarters — something unprecedented in over a hundred years. Ultimately, it was because the Hundred Beasts had provided a better life for the islanders.

Being part of the Non-Adhering Countries, the World Government did not care about their lives, so those who could provide a good life naturally gained their allegiance.

Although Hundred Beasts did not abandon this place, the meanings of having a headquarters versus not having one were completely different.

There was still one day before the Hundred Beasts Pirates were to move, and their preparations were complete, but they hadn’t departed immediately, as a journey from here to Wano Kuni would take a while, and they had one more major event to attend to.

The Governor of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, their Captain’s daughter’s hundredth day had arrived, and here they also had the custom of the Hundred Days Celebration.

Yamato, being Kaidou’s progeny and raised on Miltank’s milk, grew faster than ordinary children and had reached the stage of babbling, but the first word she learned was not ”Dad” or ”Mom.”

It was ”lucky.”

Usually, it was Chansey who took care of her, and hearing the word ”lucky” every day, she instinctively learned its pronunciation.

According to tradition, today they would feed her different foods using chopsticks, but as she had not yet grown teeth, they only dipped the chopsticks and placed them near her mouth.

Red bean rice, clam soup, red snapper, dried plum... all signifying that she could grow healthier. These were part of the rituals here, but as per Arceus’s intentions, they also prepared a grasping ceremony.

Originally full of good intentions, Kaidou agreed, but the items in the grasping ceremony were curious.

The items weren’t prepared by just one person; each cadre picked two items to place there, initially covered with red cloth so no one could see what was underneath.

Once the cloth was lifted, few normal items could be seen.

Books, a crown, some toy weaponry; these were placed by Arceus.

Among the rest were a microscope, traditional medicine, Belly, Chansey’s egg, Miltank’s milk, Berry, grilled meat, a wooden plaque engraved with flames, Arceus’s flag, Setsuna’s own clothes — these were relatively normal items.

But the last items were truly outrageous; knives, guns, swords, even a hand grenade with the pin visible; these were evidently not toys but real weapons.

”Who put this hand grenade in here!”

A vine emerged from the ground, picked up the grenade, and tossed it to someone else; he felt this grasping ceremony was very unconventional.

”Also, why is the Primitive Fruit here! Aren’t you afraid she’ll bite into it! No teeth? Doesn’t matter! Don’t you know how strong she is!”

No one seemed at ease, and Arceus felt utterly exhausted.

”This Wolf Fang Club... Kaidou, did you put this here?” It was a small Wolf Fang Club, but specially made with round tips instead of spikes, clearly Kaidou’s handiwork.

”That’s not just any Wolf Fang Club, that’s ’Ah Ken’; she’s my daughter and will need to inherit my full strength in the future.”

”Ah Ken... you gave the Wolf Fang Club a name?”

”All the famed swords have names. Is it strange for the Wolf Fang Club to have one?”

”Then your...”

”Hassaikai, you didn’t know my Wolf Fang Club is called Hassaikai?” Kaidou’s tone unusually carried a hint of inquiry, as if shocked that Arceus didn’t know the name of his weapon.

”Hmm... that wine gourd looks nice. It’s time, let’s start.” Arceus quickly changed the topic; it indeed wasn’t unusual for a Wolf Fang Club to have a name.

Compared to those sharpened knives and swords, the exposed-pin grenade, the customized Wolf Fang Club seemed more normal. Just turned one hundred days, Yamato was carried to the center by Chansey, still a bit confused, not knowing what to do.

However, the array of items around her piqued her curiosity. Looking left and right, she didn’t choose those shiny or aromatic things.

Instead, she grabbed for the Wolf Fang Club that Kaidou had prepared for her.

Though a specially crafted small Wolf Fang Club, it was still too heavy for a regular infant, yet Yamato managed to pick it up, waved it around, and even threw it at Queen’s belly.

After the club bounced back, she clapped her hands in delight, then crawled over to retrieve it again.

”lucky~lucky!”

”Is this her first time crawling?” Chansey joyfully reported to Arceus, three months was indeed early for crawling, but given Kaidou’s lineage and ample nutrition, it wasn’t too surprising.

As expected, being Kaidou’s own, she immediately fixated on the Wolf Fang Club Kaidou had prepared, but she wasn’t satisfied with just that. In her eyes, everything around seemed prepared for her.

Hugging the small crown Arceus had prepared, her next target was the food, like Miltank’s bottle of milk.

Before she could set her eyes on the Devil Fruit or Kaidou’s gourd, Arceus quickly put everything away, using his energy hands which were quite handy for such tasks, and Kaidou followed up with his orders.

”Wuhohoho, alright everyone, Wano Kuni is our target, get ready to set off!”
