Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 114: Chapter 113: The Opportunity Created by Kaidou

The drunken Kaidou, the embarrassed Red Hair, the sonless Whitebeard, the hungry Big Mom, could be said to be the most dangerous figures in the New World. Of course, this will be the case many years later; currently, Red Hair is still an ordinary intern.

At present, Charlotte Linlin hasn’t completely lost control to her appetite. When she’s not affected by anorexia nervosa, she can still manage herself.

This is Cake Island, the main island of the Tottland Kingdom, her territory. Anything that happens here is a slap to her face.

”Katakuri, take care of your two sisters. Streusen, you entertain the guests for me. Zeus, Prometheus, let’s go!”

Charlotte Linlin handed over the two children to Katakuri, her second son. Although he was a triplet, Katakuri’s strength had gradually surpassed that of his older brother.

Shots going off on Cake Island can never be without cause. Regardless of who the opponent is, she must make the one who disrupted her tea party pay the price.

Zeus’s size increased, and Charlotte Linlin stepped onto it, ready to fly towards the source of the commotion.

This was her tea party. Whether it was refusing her invitation or disrupting the party, it was throwing her face on the ground and trampling on it.

”Wait, Mom. These are your guests. It wouldn’t be right for you to leave them. Let me handle this.”

Just as Charlotte Linlin was about to depart, Katakuri stopped her. The reason he gave sounded reasonable, but it wasn’t the whole truth.

That area was the passage for guests to the banquet hall. The only ones yet to arrive were the Hundred Beasts group, and Perospero was responsible for guiding them.

Recently, Perospero managed to bring back some canned fruits, and along with a certain agreement reached between Big Mom and Kaidou, he didn’t suffer any serious punishment.

However, just because nothing happened doesn’t mean Charlotte Linlin forgot about it. If Perospero continued to make mistakes, he would certainly face severe punishment.

He wanted to protect every member of the Charlotte Family, not just from enemies outside, but also from Charlotte Linlin herself.

If he could prevent Charlotte Linlin from directly appearing there, the consequences wouldn’t be as severe. If it was a manageable enemy, he could bring up the matter when she was in a better mood.

If it was an enemy even he couldn’t handle, Charlotte Linlin wouldn’t overly blame Perospero, since he was stronger than Perospero.

Although Perospero was the eldest son, individual talents vary. Katakuri, two years younger than him, had gradually surpassed him in strength.

”You’re right. I’ll leave it to you. Don’t let me down, Katakuri.”

”Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll handle it.”

...

Not long before, as he was leading Kaidou and his group, they were suddenly attacked.

The candy wall he erected blocked the attack, but the noise was too big for BIG MOM not to hear. If not handled properly...

He felt the light of his future dimming.

He hadn’t yet taken action when a group of oddly dressed people burst forth. They were the remaining forces of the organs trading assassination group.

Their spies in the Underworld had not been removed, so they were aware of BIG MOM’s tea party and had secretly infiltrated, targeting the Hundred Beasts Pirates and other Underworld attendees.

The previous sabotage acts by these people had made survival incredibly difficult for the organs trading assassination group.

Perospero stood dumbfounded, his complexion turning a bit pale as if his soul was leaving his body, not because of the enemies’ strength but because of the inappropriate timing of their appearance.

To put it bluntly, why didn’t they come out to cause trouble when another sibling was leading? Why did they jump out exactly as he was guiding?

These people weren’t targeting him but the Hundred Beasts. However, the fact didn’t change that this was BIG MOM’s territory, and making a move against Charlotte Linlin’s guests here was blatant provocation.

Looking at those who launched the attack, fury burned in Perospero’s eyes. These people were out to destroy him.

”How rude of me, please head to the tea party. I will take care of this matter.”

A large candy elevator appeared behind him, and Perospero signaled to the Hundred Beasts crew to prepare for the tea party while he resolved the situation.

Being attacked here was within Kaidou’s expectations. As long as Setsuna’s earlier instincts weren’t mistaken, this was the last opportunity.

Further up was where the tea party was held, and the tight security made it impossible for them to infiltrate. Without an invitation, this was their last chance to strike.

A syrup wave, under Perospero’s control, surged toward the attackers, as surrounding Chess Soldiers closed in.

However, the Hundred Beasts group did not board the elevator. Such enemies did not pique Kaidou’s interest. Instead, he looked at Setsuna.

”Kid, you said that’s your enemy, right?”

”That’s right, it’s that guy. I remember the stench on him.”

”Do you still have the courage to show your fangs to your enemy?”

”Of course!” Sparks flashed between her fingers. Stimulated by Kaidou’s words, she recalled the prior events and dashed forward, bypassing Perospero.

”What are you doing, Kaidou-san?” Zeraora didn’t understand why Kaidou would say such things. To be honest, it was a provocation that couldn’t be more basic, yet Setsuna fell for it.

”I know what Arceus asked you to do. Go ahead, that little girl isn’t their match. A heroic rescue always leaves the deepest impression, heh heh heh.”

Though Zou wasn’t xenophobic, it was challenging for an outsider to become king. To gain local support, they needed the endorsement of at least one local. Kaidou was trying to create more opportunities for them.

Zeraora’s fur unleashed powerful electrical currents. Compared to Zeraora, Setsuna’s electricity was just a spark. He was a Pokemon created by Arceus using the Zap Plate as the core, with the power of five Plates.

Having cost Arceus considerable effort, he naturally possessed strength to match. His body transformed into a streak of lightning, swiftly catching up with Setsuna and grabbing her by the nape, lifting her.

”You’re still too young. This battle isn’t for you. Just watch from the back.”
