Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 106: Chapter 105: Law of Fortune Conservation

The shiny white Zeraora does exist, and the shiny colors of different Pokémon also differ. This might be a genetic issue, and with a slight modification, Zeraora now has a one-click skin change feature.

”Act as if it doesn’t exist normally, and during the full moon you can choose to change your fur color to release stronger currents, but usually hold back a bit.”

”As you command.”

The next day, Setsuna woke up from her dream. She seemed to barely remember what happened last night, except feeling a bit weak in the legs.

Sitting up and rubbing her face, a full moon appeared in her memories

In the past, untrained young members of the Fur Race were prohibited from going out during the full moon, but during her days with the organ trafficking assassination group, she lost track of dates and didn’t even know it was a full moon yesterday.

She was initially having fun in the snow, but when she inadvertently glanced at the moon in the sky, everything changed.

”Oh no! It’s the Moon Lion!”

On Zou, someone was watching her, but not outside. She quite liked it here because at least the villagers didn’t seem afraid of her.

For residents of the Hundred Beasts Territory, Zoan-type ability users were not uncommon, so the residents didn’t have any special feelings about members of the Fur Race.

If her transformation into the Moon Lion caused any destruction leading to a change in perception, that would be terrible.

Pulling a slit in the curtains, it was daytime, so she ran out directly, but it seemed that there were no signs of any battle here.

Setsuna walked to Zeraora’s house nearby. Shaina’s place was off-limits to outsiders, and Shaina had emphasized this issue to her repeatedly yesterday, which she remembered clearly.

”Zeraora, are you there?”

”I’m right behind you, it’s already noon.”

Not receiving a response, Setsuna was trying to climb through the window when Zeraora appeared behind her. He went to a tailor to make a suitable outfit; the Fur Race could wear very little, but they wouldn’t go completely without wearing anything, or it would be like streaking.

Even though Pokémon’s skin is their clothing, they don’t mind an extra coat. The number of Pokémon wearing human clothing is not small, especially in the grand contests.

”Uh, did anything... very excessive happen last night?”

”If you mean transforming into the Moon Lion, then yes, but don’t worry, nothing happened.”

”Phew~ that’s good. I was worried about being kicked out. But what exactly happened last night? Was the moon covered by clouds?”

Untrained members of the Fur Race cannot actively lift the Moon Lion ability; it’s either exhaustion or the moon disappearing.

But this exhaustion doesn’t mean collapse, it means dying from exhaustion.

The fact she’s still standing here means the Moon Lion state ended prematurely.

”Lord Arceus helped to dispel your berserk stance... where are you going?”

”To express my gratitude...”

”Don’t be so rash, this isn’t Zou, you need to adjust to the rules outside, and Lord Arceus isn’t there either.”

”Then where is he?”

”Now, he should be at the feast.”

”Feast?”

Zeraora felt he underestimated the difficulty of the task Arceus entrusted him with. Clearly, he himself was just a kid, but he had to take on the task of looking after a child.

Setsuna, having her initial exposure to the outside world, was like a child constantly asking questions, filled with curiosity about everything here.

And his understanding of the world came from Arceus, who only gave him basic common knowledge, so Zeraora became unsure of the answers as the questions continued.

However, the growling of Setsuna’s stomach solved this problem.

”Let’s go, I’ll take you to the feast for something to eat.”

.....

The Fur Race isn’t particular about meat or vegetables, except for creatures with fur; cattle and sheep aren’t on their menu, but poultry and Sea Beasts are exceptions. Zou, though closed off, isn’t lacking in spices, but a grand scene like a pirate feast is rare.

”Ahwu~” A huge chicken leg was stuffed into her mouth, and even the bones were chewed up and swallowed directly.

The organ trafficking assassination group people indeed didn’t lack food and drink, but back then, she was on a hunger strike seeking death, so she was constantly force-fed some nutrient paste. Though nutritious, the taste was unappetizing.

The chefs of the Hundred Beasts Pirates weren’t exceptional, but above the average line, and their roasted food suited her tastes well.

”Zeraora, aren’t you afraid of heat?”

”Heat?”

”Yeah, that guy, Nekomamushi, has a cat’s tongue, and is particularly afraid of heat, can’t eat anything slightly hot.”

This is also a characteristic of the Cat Fur Race; she thought Zeraora belonged to the Cat Fur as well, but he seemed completely unafraid of heat.

”I’m different from him.”

”Indeed, you’re much more handsome than him, ahwu.”

Setsuna only showed interest in these foods; now she felt the feast is a good thing.

And the other pirates quickly got into the atmosphere; feast culture is considered a unique culture among pirates.

Though Kaidou hasn’t returned yet, this didn’t stop his subordinates from celebrating the victory of the battle, except someone was presently surrounded in the venue.

”Hey, hey, hey, isn’t your luck a bit too good?”

”Yeah, why is the first credit yours again this time?”

”Can’t help it, I’m just lucky.”

The top contributor this time was Mandfeish, who also drew the Splash ability last time. The difficult parts in this battle were handled by Shaina and King, while the rest were mostly just putting on a show.

Although there are achievements calculated, most people were just sharing the money.

And because Mandfeish didn’t participate in the main assault due to his Splash ability, he was moving back and forth on the sea behind the island, accidentally running into people carrying the organ trafficking assassination group’s years of savings trying to flee.

The manager attempted to escape with only treasures, leaving the vast wealth in the hands of these people, so the first credit went to him after evaluation, which sparked jealousy among many.

But they had to admit, this guy’s luck was indeed amazing, managing to hit the smallest area of ’illusion’ with a dart.

”Queen, bring out plate number two.”

After winning this, one also needs to draw an attribute. After drawing the attribute, one draws the acquisition method, and finally the specific ability, making the process relatively complex.

His luck was consistently good leading up to now, with a Water Attribute, without relying on a fruit for direct modification, but his luck seemed exhausted when drawing the specific ability.

Divine Beast, Mythical Creature, Semi-divine power didn’t appear here as those were reserved for the more talented people, but among the remaining capabilities, there were quite a few excellent ones, holding different zones defined by rarity and strength.

This time, he failed to inherit his prior good fortune, as the dart landed right on a red Magikarp design.
