Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 119: Chapter 118: Hundred Beasts Fruit

”Even just news will do. As long as the authenticity of the news is confirmed, we can pay for it.”

Stussy felt that this was the right approach. The forces at the tea conference encompassed the entire Underworld of the New World, so seeking rare items through this power was the norm.

However, none of them had seen the style in the picture, except for the big mom who had previously traded plates with Kaidou.

”Ma ma~ ma ma, Kaidou, haven’t you already obtained a piece of this thing? Or does it have some special significance?”

”Haven’t you tried? This kind of stone is indestructible, and I want to use it to forge the strongest armor!”

He wouldn’t tell the truth in front of these people. Whether they were pirates or members of the Underworld, there was no real trust; deception and betrayal were the norm.

Either be crafty enough that no one can fool you, or powerful enough that no one dares to deceive you.

Arceus’s power would slowly be revealed over time, but except for a few individuals, no one could figure out the connection between the plate and Arceus.

The plates successfully recovered by Arceus looked entirely different from those adrift outside, and no one but Arceus could recognize them.

Kaidou didn’t mention that Arceus needed it, but he needed to show his interest, so he fabricated a reason that he was going to use it himself.

At first glance, it seemed reasonable; after all, a pirate who valued armor was not uncommon. Silver Axe was an example in the past.

As a martial artist, Kaidou wanting to forge the strongest armor wouldn’t seem strange and justified his high-price acquisitions.

Moreover, it’s reasonable for strong individuals to have their quirks; having a bit of a collectible habit was also normal.

”How many of these things are there in total?”

”I don’t know, but this shape surely isn’t naturally formed. I’ve acquired a piece before, but there must be other stone pieces; however, there are no clues to find them, which is why I need to use your channels.”

Kaidou’s words were half-truths and left these people unable to find any issues because they didn’t understand the specific situation.

”No problem, as long as the price is right, these are all small issues. However, Mr. Kaidou, I’d like to use the sea route within your territory, as it can save quite a bit of distance.”

Umit agreed first. The people of the Underworld were naturally in business, and they wouldn’t pass up such a big business opportunity, and even Stussy agreed.

She was a hidden operative of the World Government, and collecting intelligence was her main task. As for other matters, they were not her concern. All she needed to do was gather the appropriate intelligence and ensure it was safely sent out.

If given the right opportunity, she’d also choose to take action to snatch a few things from others, but that depended on the strength of the opponent. Against a pirate like Kaidou, she couldn’t possibly compete.

The tea party went smoothly, and a new commercial group called the Hundred Beasts Fruit was also established today. It was the white glove of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, used for conducting some legitimate transactions.

Although finding out who was behind it wasn’t difficult, as long as there was enough profit, even the World Government could turn a blind eye to such a gray industry.

As for the illegal activities underground, the Hundred Beasts Pirates was the best signature and needed no preparation for such.

After leaving, Stussy delivered the intelligence to higher-ups, but such matters did not attract the attention of the World Government. The World Government had also studied these plates, and even Vegapunk couldn’t do anything with them, so they had naturally given up.

They indeed had some of these stones in hand, but didn’t spend more effort searching for what seemed to be useless items. Only a few Heavenly Celestial Dragons, enthusiastic collectors, showed interest.

Although Vegapunk was curious, he too couldn’t see any significance to these stones. For the World Government, rather than searching for these stones, it would be more practical to find a Lunarian.

After the tea conference ended, they gradually left Cake Island, and it was only then that Perospero arrived.

The newly made desserts put Charlotte Linlin in a good mood, and she showed no signs of anger when looking at the approaching Perospero. Katakuri’s report stated that Perospero had resolved the issue, which was also the conclusion he reached.

”Mama, those people were targeting the Hundred Beasts. They were remnants of an organ trafficking assassination group. After assassinating one of our trade teams, they infiltrated us but have now been completely dealt with.”

Without waiting for Charlotte Linlin to inquire, Perospero revealed all the intelligence.

”So, they came here deliberately to attack Kaidou and his people?”

”Yes... yes...” Seeing Charlotte Linlin’s somber expression, Perospero was somewhat afraid, but he forced himself to calm down. Showing fear in front of Charlotte Linlin would lead to terrible consequences, even for her biological son.

”Perospero, you’ve already failed twice, haven’t you?”

After a long pause, Charlotte Linlin suddenly said something that sent chills down Perospero’s spine.

”The previous fruit incident, and now the defense issue, although both were cleaned up, you still failed.”

”Mama, let me explain!”

”Listen, Perospero. I’m giving you one last chance. I’ll provide you with enough forces, but you must take revenge on the remnants of the organ trafficking assassination group. If you fail again....”

”Rest assured, Mama! I will definitely make those guys understand the consequences of offending us!”

He understood what Charlotte Linlin meant. Regardless of the reasons for their actions, making a move on Cake Island was a direct affront to her, so now anything related to that organization was an enemy of the BIG MOM Pirates.

His tone was firm because he knew that if these people were not dealt with, he would be the one to suffer.

”Go on, this is your last chance.”

Charlotte Linlin gently took the two infants from Zeus, showing no signs of anger. However, Perospero had already set off to prepare ships and gather intelligence. He had to complete this task well to maintain his status as the eldest son.

”The Fur Race seems really strong. It seems Tottland needs to accelerate its expansion. There are still many races left.”

Even though she hadn’t left the banquet hall, Cake Island was covered in her Homies, and she knew exactly what had transpired below. The power from Zeraora made her realize the Fur Race was powerful.

At the same time, Arceus and King’s ship was still on its way....
