Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 118: Chapter 117: Kaidou’s Deal

Those who have never seen it naturally find it strange, but Charlotte Linlin’s children are already used to it. The runaway pork chop was quickly caught back, but Setsuna had no intention of eating it.

She doesn’t eat this type of animal; pigs are considered for their fur. After knowing that there are children of the Fur Race here, the kitchen of the BIG MOM Pirates specially prepared a batch of food made from sea beasts and poultry.

In the New World, terrestrial animals are more expensive ingredients than sea beasts because the land area is much smaller than the ocean. Sea beasts roaming the Four Seas are often served on the table in the New World, and these massive creatures have always been popular with pirates.

The Fur Race does not eat hairy creatures, but that does not mean they are unaware of the taste of animals like cattle and sheep, mainly because of the existence of sea beasts. Sea cows, sea sheep, and sea pigs—these strange creatures can all be found in the sea.

For the Fur Race, these creatures living in the water with not a single hair do not count as furry creatures. However, whether they can eat such creatures depends only on luck.

The Fur Race does not hunt; Zou the Elephant does not stop, and the sea beasts of Zou are sent up by Zou the Elephant. The giant elephant sprays water onto its back twice daily, called ”flaming rain” or ”rain of grace” by the Fur Race.

Zou the Elephant is too large, and even some small sea beasts might be sucked in and sprayed up together.

They don’t worry about accidentally eating hairy animals; the appearance of roasted sea beasts is distinctly different from that of land creatures.

Charlotte Linlin’s children are playing and fighting, and Charlotte Linlin doesn’t care about these things; she almost completely free-ranges them, resulting in their differing personalities.

Not all the children went to play, such as Charlotte Moscato, who is more than nine years old this year.

The sixteenth son of the Charlotte Family, he is one of Charlotte Linlin’s children with a stronger sense of justice. Years later, when Charlotte Linlin’s anorexia nervosa acted up, he was the one who tried to stop his mother when everyone else was afraid.

However, the irrational Charlotte Linlin did not recognize him and instead, extracted a large amount of his lifespan.

Charlotte Linlin let him take away the Hundred Beasts’ ”children”; he believed he had the obligation to take care of the guests as the host here.

Main Venue.

They have already confirmed the taste of the food, and the next issue to determine is the production capacity, which is why Kaidou brought Queen. The data for these things are handled by Queen and Asie.

Strictly speaking, Asie knows more about production capacity than Queen, but Asie is too weak, and taking him out is not a good thing.

”Everyone, currently our production capacity is not very high, but we have already found suitable land for planting. The arable area on that island is about six thousand acres, and eventually, the banana production can exceed ten thousand tons per year.

It will only take a year for us to reach this capacity. As for now, the first batch we can only supply is two thousand kilograms.”

This is an approximate figure obtained after deducting what will be sold to the BIG MOM Pirates and the amount kept by the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

A new suitable planting island has just been found, and it is being developed. Precisely speaking, the information about this island was provided by the BIG MOM Pirates.

That island used to be the territory of Charlotte Linlin’s adversary, and although the enemy was defeated later on,

the island was devastated by Charlotte Linlin’s attacks because it became a battlefield. The original farmland was abandoned, and it was conveniently given to Kaidou as a trade item by Charlotte Linlin.

The Hundred Beasts are now planting a small amount of finished goods and carrying out seedling work on their territory. They cannot convert all the food in their territory into cash crops, or else food safety within the territory will not be assured.

Then Queen added: ”Moreover, these are improved crops, they don’t have seeds, so others can’t cultivate similar crops.”

”Two thousand kilograms is enough. We can use our channels to help you open the market, but we require a supply guarantee second only to Linlin’s.”

Even if the procurement is substantial at the beginning, it may not necessarily sell, but it’ll take just enough time to open a sufficient market. As long as the Hundred Beasts can ensure the quality and monopolistic nature of the fruit, they can thereby earn enough money.

However, not everyone can benefit from it. Du Feld and Stussy’s venues can directly benefit, and Umit and Jibson can profit in transportation and storage, but Morgans and Piekro are different.

The news and assassination industries have nothing to do with fruits; would they buy them directly as employee benefits?

If Kaidou is just using their channels to sell fruits, it’s a bit of an overkill.

At the same time, they still haven’t figured out why the Hundred Beasts attacked the organ trafficking assassination group.

The six exchanged glances, and in the end, it was Morgans who stood up, not for any other reason but because he wanted to interview the parties involved to see if there was a bigger news story behind it.

”Mr. Kaidou, May I ask why you previously decided to destroy that group?”

Morgans pulled out a pen and notepad from somewhere, ready to conduct an interview.

”They offended my subordinates and committed an unforgivable mistake. Is this reason satisfactory?”

Facing Morgans’ question, Kaidou showed little patience, but this attitude reassured them. It’s good to have a conflict; the Hundred Beasts had gained the upper hand in battles against the Wald Pirates.

If Kaidou, like that lunatic Wald, conducted indiscriminate destruction, it would lead to bigger trouble. Having a grudge is a good outcome, as for why exactly the grudge formed, they had no interest nor wanted to know.

”Of course, we have another business to discuss.”

When Queen said this, those present paid more attention because, indeed, it felt right. If two great pirates and several underworld stewards only formed a fruit business, it would be overkill.

”We are buying Zoan-type Devil Fruits at a premium, regardless of whether they are Mythical, Ancient, or regular types.”

Mythical Zoans are extremely precious, but the value of Ancient and regular types isn’t as high. The Hundred Beasts needing this type of fruit would only be seen as Kaidou’s personal hobby.

A pirate collecting Devil Fruits to enhance the strength of their group appears much more normal than selling fruits.

”Meanwhile, we are also searching for the whereabouts of this item.” This time, it’s not a physical object but a simple picture depicting the Arceus Plate.
