Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 110: Chapter 109: News of the Tea Party

Charlotte Linlin’s tea parties have been held several times already, and are not considered a secret in the Underworld. Since her children are still young, the reasons for hosting these tea parties are often personal weddings or celebrations like a child’s full moon ceremony.

The frequency is random, the purpose is random, and sometimes the tea parties are just to satisfy her personal hobbies.

Her hobbies include hosting tea parties and collecting all kinds of strange and rare creatures. She has a grand ideal of establishing a nation where all races and beings across the world can live together without prejudice, but her methods are quite different.

The principle of Totto Land is to welcome those who come and not allow those who want to leave. Anyone who wishes to leave Totto Land almost always pays with their life.

As for the tea parties, Charlotte Linlin’s invitations are irresistible. Anyone who receives an invitation and does not attend will receive her gift, which is the head of someone close to them.

Charlotte Linlin is very closely connected with the Underworld, and in terms of intelligence, she is ahead of other pirates. It wasn’t the first time Stussy and others had dealt with her, so they were used to the tea parties.

They even considered these tea parties a gathering. The territory of the BIG MOM Pirates is very safe, at least as long as Charlotte Linlin has no thoughts against them, they have not angered her, and as long as her anorexia nervosa was not triggered.

However, this time, Kaidou’s name appeared on the list of attendees.

As a CP0 agent, Stussy naturally reported this to her superior, and her orders were to investigate why Kaidou and Charlotte Linlin were meeting.

The headquarters of the organ trafficking and assassination group had just been demolished, so the fact that Charlotte Linlin was meeting with Kaidou at this time, even though both of them are not considered Sea Emperors yet, it’s not as significant as their meetings decades later.

But even if they aren’t top-tier Great Pirates, they are outstanding members of the second tier. Most importantly, they are remnants of Rocks.

After the disbandment of the Rocks Pirates, these remnants hardly ever united. The scheming and plotting of John, Silver Axe, and Ochoku are completely different in meaning from the discussions at Charlotte Linlin’s tea parties.

The question is what do they want to do, and will it cause more trouble. The World Government may not take any policy actions, but they cannot remain in the dark.

So, this has become Stussy’s current task, and the talks in the Underworld have come to a close. These matters will become clear during the tea party.

As long as Charlotte Linlin and Kaidou haven’t lost their minds, they won’t attempt to capture everyone, as that would plunge the entire Underworld of the New World into chaos, which couldn’t be stabilized in less than a decade, benefiting no one.

A vacancy left by an organ trafficking assassination group can be quickly filled, but if all positions are empty, the trouble would be immense.

Everyone was preparing their own gifts, as participating in a tea party requires more than just showing up.

Members of the BIG MOM Pirates also started collecting tributes from the affiliated islands to prepare for this tea party.

Meanwhile, on the main island of the Beast Pirates, the missing Kaidou had flown back and shared this news. This was what he had been doing while he was out of contact.

To continue using Charlotte Linlin’s information network, the next stage of their relationship had to be developed. Queen’s bananas were already in mass production, and some first-generation fruits of other varieties had also been cultivated, providing the perfect opportunity to discuss future collaborations with Charlotte Linlin.

Moreover, the Beasts needed to open new sales channels. After the organ trafficking assassination group’s incident, there seemed to be a sense of fear towards the Beasts in the Underworld.

This was not conducive to future development, so Kaidou planned to make things clear with the people from the Underworld through Charlotte Linlin’s tea party.

...

In the training ground, a group of people were engaged in their own training. They weren’t leaders or children; they were the core members of the Beasts now and in the future. Kaidou and Arceus were discussing some things on the side.

”BIG MOM’s tea party?”

”Yes, there are some things that need to be resolved at that woman’s tea party, including the fruit export issue. The production is a bit high, and we can’t consume it all internally. It just so happens we can exchange for more funds, and also use her information network.”

Even though the second-generation bananas bred from Tropius Bananas have a much longer shelf life than ordinary bananas, they are still bananas, and the shelf life is not particularly long. Queen’s production is very high, with the amount of fresh bananas and banana chips exceeding the internal demand of the Beasts.

If they don’t sell, they’ll have to be made into banana chips, but banana chips also have a shelf life. To avoid waste, expanding the sales channels is necessary.

BIG MOM’s tea party is different from a banquet. It doesn’t have traditional barbecue or strong alcohol; the meat products are honey-flavored, primarily black tea and desserts. Frankly, Kaidou doesn’t like this kind of setting, but for future development, he still has to go.

”What about you? Are you interested in that tea party?”

”Not really interested, someone just brought back some new information, I want to check it out.”

”That’s good too. Otherwise, falling out with her would be a bit of a disadvantage.” Charlotte Linlin has a strange obsession with rare creatures, and with Arceus’s unique characteristics, he’s likely to attract her interest.

Although she can’t snatch someone from Kaidou, verbal exchanges could easily lead to new conflicts.

”This time, let King and Shaina go with you, and Queen will come with me. He can boast about his fruits. By the way, any of you kids interested in going?”

Kaidou asked the people below. Sometimes, Charlotte Linlin is quite nice to children and can show a motherly side in certain situations.

But no one could answer him as they were all busy dodging Arceus’s attacks.

Arceus’s special training, Spike Cannon dodging practice. Even King and Shaina were blindfolded to train their Observation Haki. The controlled power wouldn’t kill them, but it would hurt quite a bit.

Only pain leaves a lasting memory. Getting hit now won’t be fatal, but on the battlefield, it’s a different story.

He and Kaidou had a clear division of labor. Kaidou focused on Armament Haki, as he understood this aspect well, while Arceus’s attacks were better for controlled frequency, making him responsible for Observation Haki.

Timing it perfectly, Arceus stopped his Spike Cannon, and Setsuna and Olga lay flat on the ground.

They hadn’t been required to be blindfolded yet, but even though they could see, this frequency of attacks was a huge drain on their physical strength. Even the Fur Race and Zoan-type Ability Users couldn’t withstand it.

”Huff... huff.... a tea party, what’s that all about?”
