Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Without the blockade of the domain, those who had been despairingly imprisoned within the domain like a nightmare seemed to go crazy as they fled from here.

Heaven knows how much damage had been caused to them by being imprisoned in that incomprehensible power and forced to maintain a single posture for several hours!

This was a double torture of both spirit and flesh!

But fortunately, that witch before them had let them go.

Even those people of the Hawthorne Family who were previously quite arrogant now dared not say a single word of nonsense, even running faster than the people from the Security Bureau.

Beside me, although Big Sis Bai was also somewhat curious why I had retracted the domain so abruptly, she did not disturb me, choosing instead to guard me silently.

However, her gaze briefly lingered on the illusory shadow behind that silhouette, appearing slightly dazed, as if she had recognized who it was.

Before long, the sky above Mo Nuo Peng City suddenly became oppressive.

Heavy dark clouds gathered in the pitch-black night sky, churning the celestial phenomena.

Intermittent thunder mixed with lightning briefly illuminated the world, like frame-by-frame stop-motion animation carrying a thick sense of pressure.

Immediately after, the heavy dark clouds formed a giant palm, covering down from the sky in a half-gripping posture aimed directly at my position, rapidly grasping toward me.

Facing such a strange phenomenon, even I cast a sideways glance.

This method was by no means something an ordinary wizard apprentice could achieve.

Then… it could only be a Transcendent Wizard.

Although I was also somewhat eager to try and see if the order of my domain could block such a method, I still had more important things to do.

“So it’s you… hehe… die for me!”

A low voice drifted down from the sky.

Clearly, this was the voice of the Transcendent Wizard performing this move.

“Wizards truly are things without a bottom line, a Transcendent taking action personally against me?”

I let out a light hum, not caring whether the other party heard me or not.

This was my most intuitive experience, feeling the determination of those Transcendent Wizards to kill me so resolutely that they ignored the rules!

Previously, I had always heard the descriptions of the severity from the mouths of the various witches—Big Sis Bai, Academy Head Mei, and the others.

This was far from as direct as the pressure brought by personal experience at this moment!

In the next moment, a saber glow resounded like a thunderclap across the world.

An incomparably sharp saber strike was displayed plainly and unadorned, yet this single strike split the arm in the sky right down the middle.

The giant hand formed from thick mist seemed out of control and unable to heal, collapsing and turning into energy between heaven and earth.

“Damn it… I knew it!”

An exasperated voice drifted down from the sky, appearing somewhat out of sorts.

The latter half of the voice turned extremely oppressive.

“Witch! Do you not know that this is the Wizard Academy’s territory! Do you intend to start a war with our Witch Academy by coming over so flagrantly?”

“I have no intention of starting a war. I merely saw a thick-skinned and shameless idiot attacking an assistant of our Witch Academy and attempting to sabotage a sacred witch advancement ritual.”

At this moment, Bai Yu no longer used the ordinary state to conceal her form.

Instead, she held a long saber, pointing directly at the heavens.

But Bai Yu did not perform a second strike.

Because there was no need.

The strange phenomenon before us did not represent the wizard’s true body.

This phenomenon was merely a Transcendent Wizard utilizing the Wizard Tower and the guidance and anchoring of that Wizard Tower Keeper to eventually perform a consciousness descent.

The wizard’s true body was still shrunk inside his turtle-shell Wizard Tower.

After all, for wizards who had not deliberately undergone special sorcery body-tempering, their physical quality was the poorest among Transcendents of the same level.

Therefore, wizards, who styled themselves with rationality and wisdom, would not spend a large amount of time on sorcery body-tempering, choosing instead to establish Wizard Towers.

A Wizard Tower was both a symbol of a Transcendent Wizard and a part of their power, and moreover, it was the laboratory for their sorcery research.

They would spend the majority of the latter half of their lives upon the Wizard Tower.

So Bai Yu only delivered one strike for deterrence at this moment.

Just as she said, she wasn’t here to pick a fight.

If possible, she only wanted to stall for some time for me.

“Damn it, who are you calling a thick-skinned and shameless idiot!”

“I’m talking about whoever is shrinking in a turtle tower and dares not show his face.”

“Damn witch, daring to provoke our Wizard Will. If you want to advance, why don’t you get the hell to your own territory to advance! Why must it be in our territory!”

While Big Sis Bai and this wizard were exchanging trash talk, I also began the exploration belonging to my soul field.

However, before my mind was completely invested into the research, my attention was also slightly drawn over by Big Sis Bai.

I truly hadn’t expected Big Sis Bai’s linguistic aggressiveness to be so high too…

But I only lamented for a moment.

I couldn’t waste the time Big Sis Bai had secured for me.

My attention returned to April.

At this moment, I had already added the blessing of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell for her.

Only then did I use the yet-to-be-perfected “Soul Depiction” technique to begin acting upon April.

Because this technique had not yet been perfected, it essentially had no effect.

I was merely waiting, observing, and witnessing the metamorphosis process from soul-substance into soul.

And the field of my Soul Depiction truly only had this one final difficult problem left, which was gaining insight into the process of soul-substance sublimating into a soul.

Just like in the Wisdom Bestowal technique, where the seed of wisdom shaped by consciousness and memory—once the metamorphosis process of the two was understood and the beginning of the metamorphosis was mastered—only then was the technique of Wisdom Bestowal considered complete.

And now… April’s life essence was gradually being perfected.

Although the time that had passed was very short, she had already lived a long life within the world she had woven.

I could feel that this woven life seemed to still originate from the dream state.

After all, the Ordinary Project was essentially a soul project, and the relationship between soul and dream naturally needed no further explanation.

If I only explored the usage of the soul dream state a bit, using April’s memory as a lead, perhaps I could participate in her life.

From my perspective, this would still be an illusory dream, but for April, all of it was a perfect life she had personally experienced, and moreover, her own interpretation of an ordinary life.

Perhaps the soul project was just like that, blurring the boundaries between dream and reality, allowing a person’s soul to be redeemed in this way.

But in the end, I gave up.

I… didn’t dare.

It wasn’t because I feared the protection of the primal consciousness beside me, but because I was afraid that upon seeing that blissful life, my own heart would be touched by such beauty—just like a rat in a gutter peeping at someone else’s wonderful life—bringing me unnecessary trouble.

I did not need this kind of redemption.

This was essentially a method where if you believed it, it was real; if you didn’t, it wasn’t.

I didn’t need to use this “fake” beauty from my perspective to mend my own deficiencies.

The path I walked was to face everything directly, accept everything, and then let myself experience everything until I could look back and reminisce with a smile.

I was an experience-path person, while April was a self-redemption-path person.

There was naturally no need to compare which was better.

In any case, in the hearts of both parties, our own methods were certainly the best.

Moreover, if I truly wanted redemption… it wouldn’t just be this life; I would even need to mend the previous life… but I had already accepted, come to terms with, and even… forgotten many things from the previous life.

So it was better to let things take their natural course.

“You seem to be hesitating. Why did you ultimately give up? April’s ordinary life is the most beautiful to her, and likewise, it is what she believes does not need to be hidden. If you are willing to enter it and play a certain role, April does not mind.”

“Eh?”

The sudden voice gave me a start, and only then did I realize who was talking to me. “

You… You! You are talking to me?”

“Mhm. Looking at how nervous you are when you speak, you seem to have misunderstood something. You should have gained insight into what my essence is, haven’t you? But I am not yet the Primal Witch in your cognition.”

“Eh? Not yet?”

Seeing this gradually solidifying phantom, I quickly reacted.

Her essence was a product originating from the Great Witch Project, so… she didn’t count as the true Primal Witch yet, but rather the Primal Concept of the witch?

“Then… that is to say, when will you become the Primal Witch’s avatar?”

Seeing her take the initiative to strike up a conversation with me, I also tentatively wanted to understand some things.

“Probably only after April wakes up and recognizes her behavior as a Transcendent Witch. At that time, she will obtain an almost instinctive ability, similar to a god-descent art, to invite the descent of the Primal Witch’s consciousness. Only then will I be the true Primal Witch’s avatar, and I will take her away from here.”

“Is this… is this truly something that can be told to me?”

Hearing this explanation, I instinctively broke into a cold sweat.

I had never heard of such a theory.

Even for the information collected in the Great Tree of Knowledge, the avatars of the Primal Witch were mostly based on conjecture… though this might be because I had already guessed a rough idea, but I hadn’t even advanced to Transcendent Witch yet!

“I feel the aura of the Witch’s Contract on you. You are a lesser witch, very close. I think highly of you, so I am willing to share with you. Of course, what I think more highly of is your spirit of exploration. However, it is best not to delve too deeply into certain forbidden areas. This is for the good of me, you, and the witch race.”

“Uh… is this… a warning?”

“You can treat it as such. You will be an obedient child, won’t you?”

“Yes… I am very obedient!”

I hurriedly nodded my head vigorously and guaranteed.

After ending this topic (warning), this primal phantom did not take the initiative to talk to me again.

It looked like her asking me just now why I didn’t enter April’s dream state might have been just to find a random opening topic.

The primary purpose was still to give me a reminder not to mess around…

But regarding the Soul Depiction technique, I definitely could not give it up.

What’s more, she had already agreed to it previously, so… she shouldn’t stop me.

“A miraculous technique… I see infinite possibilities and endless ambition in this technique. Can you tell me what the name of this technique is?”

“Uh… it’s called Soul Depiction.”

I froze for a moment, then explained.

In any case, this wasn’t a name that couldn’t be spoken.

I had even told the Academy Head.

Facing the primal concept, there was naturally nothing that couldn’t be said.

“Soul Depiction… mhm… a very vivid name. Unfortunately, I cannot give any more evaluation…”

After all, she wasn’t the Primal Witch’s avatar, just a product of the primal concept.

After chatting for a few words, the primal concept faded into April’s body once more.

I let out a sigh of relief and began to focus on the things before me.

Perhaps she had discovered that if she were by my side, I wouldn’t be able to focus on the business at hand…

Truly an understanding Primal Witch…

Once I focused on the business at hand, the external matters were already ignored by me, because I believed Big Sis Bai would protect me well.

And at this moment, Big Sis Bai was still in a standoff with that wizard.

But the other party, upon finding that he couldn’t win the verbal battle against Bai Yu, also began to call for backup.

However, none of the wizards called arrived in their true bodies.

They were all Wizard Will projections under the augmentation of Wizard Towers.

But even as projections, their strength would not be weak.

Coupled with the wizards’ bizarre and unpredictable methods as well as their means of leveraging Transcendent truths, they had abandoned physical strength and relied on wisdom to leverage Transcendent rules with the minimum cost.

Thus, their methods of attack were terrifying to the extreme.

Bai Yu even needed to fully expand her domain at this moment to resist the other party’s methods while protecting me.

It had to be said that fighting wizards on their home field was indeed a disadvantage.

The Wizard Academy’s sphere of influence was the range where the effect of Wizard Tower will-deployment was best.

One could imagine how large their home field advantage was.

These wizards were not like those Dragon Blood Transcendents of the Dragon Blood Academy; otherwise, Bai Yu could confidently take them down one by one with single strikes.

But combat power was not just a comparison of brute force, especially against wizards who styled themselves with wisdom and rationality!

“A lone Transcendent Witch actually dares to pick a fight on our wizards’ home field. Today, be prepared to stay here!”

“Keke… I recognize you, and not just you! That little witch too shall die here today!”

The wizards’ alternating coordination formed an even more comprehensive sorcery suppression.

Even those raspy voices seemed to bring a mental pollution that made one frown.

But they happened to touch Bai Yu’s reverse scale.

That wizard who just let out that extremely unpleasant “jie jie” laugh almost had his descending consciousness shattered by Bai Yu’s sudden explosion.

It scared him into shutting his mouth hurriedly, shielding several other wizard consciousnesses in front of him.

The descent of wizard consciousness was not without price, but no matter how large the price, it didn’t compare to dying there.

But if possible, none of them wanted to be buried there.

“Is it useful? Is it useful? What use is it other than making yourself look so disheveled? That little witch is your reverse scale, isn’t she! You get angry as soon as she’s mentioned, don’t you? Hahaha! Then you’re finished…”

After Bai Yu’s explosion, she fell into a brief state of weakness, and that wizard instantly gained insight into this relationship.

But before he could be happy for long, in the next moment, he couldn’t laugh anymore.

“Is that so? Say it again, who is finished?”

A female voice appeared suddenly, carrying contempt in its tone.

With a light reach and grasp, that wizard consciousness completely lost its ability to resist.

“Who! It’s you! Damn it… Mei Linde… why are you here! Fishing, aren’t you…”

That wizard consciousness held in Mei Linde’s hand gradually became weak and stopped resisting.

Or rather, even his will to resist was weakened, as he completely became a plaything in Mei Linde’s hand.

Seeing Academy Head Mei take action, Bai Yu let out a sigh of relief.

However, she did not relax.

Instead, she retreated to guard by my side.

“Fishing? This is my first time seeing someone put gold on their own face like this. Which tiny little fry are you, to be worth coming to fish? I’m here today for some shortsighted protection. So it’s a lot of bullying from our school’s teacher, is it? So it’s you wanting to assassinate our school’s little witch! Is it? So it’s you sabotaging our witch advancement ritual? Who gave you the face?”

While Mei Linde counted off their “crimes,” she “called names” one by one.

Even though they were all under the Great Weakening Spell of the Core Realm, Mei Linde still displayed the strength and elegance of an Academy Head of the Witch Academy.

In just the time it took to speak a few sentences, those wizard consciousness projections were captured alive by the Academy Head.
