Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

After some understanding, I finally understood what Hong Chenyi was talking about.

Because they had missed the application for course exemption last semester, Hong Chenyi and Guan Qiuling had been unable to get course exemptions like Yu Yetian and Dongli Yiren.

This had made Hong Chenyi extremely anxious.

What’s more, those who got course exemptions last semester could enter the Expansion Realm to see the world.

Hearing Dongli Yiren and the other girl recount stories of the Expansion Realm, Hong Chenyi wanted to go as well.

So during the holiday this semester, none of the four of them left the school.

Instead, they grouped up to find teachers to apply for course exemptions.

However... their course exemptions couldn’t be passed with a single sentence like mine.

They required actual applications and assessments.

At the very least... one had to master everything to be learned next semester before being qualified to mention a course exemption.

So after they applied, they received the materials in advance and began self-studying.

Hong Chenyi was in Mentor Ji Niang’s class.

The opportunity I heard Mentor Ji Niang gave just now was because Hong Chenyi had failed her first application assessment and only succeeded after pleading a second time.

This was also the first time I realized so clearly exactly how complex the process was for regular students who wanted course exemptions.

But the fact that Hong Chenyi could pass was actually related to the Seed of Great Knowledge.

After all, being able to learn a whole semester’s worth of knowledge points through self-study during a single holiday would have required a vast amount of energy without some special means.

However, to Hong Chenyi’s disappointment, the Expansion Realm would not continue to be open this semester.

The Expansion Realm would welcome its own period of free development, centering on the Ninglan land boundary and connecting the entire world.

The role Ninglan Qiuyue needed to play in this would be very important.

She not only needed to be responsible for the entire Expansion Realm but also represented the will of the Witch Academy’s side.

“So the four of you will be very idle this semester.”

I looked at these few fellows.

No wonder they were gathered here so casually; it turned out they were all watching to see if Hong Chenyi, the only one taking a “make-up exam,” had passed.

If she hadn’t passed, she truly would have been the only one in this dorm to be isolated.

Fortunately she passed, otherwise Hong Chenyi wouldn’t even have been able to hear the mockery from the other three.

Perhaps this is what friends are like; hearing you didn’t pass, the three of them would tutor the one for a while, but now that she passed, they immediately turned into bad friends.

“Of course this time we also want to experience what you felt back then, Big Sis Little Han!”

“But I have to tell you a piece of bad news this semester, including a long time afterward, the Expansion Realm will no longer be open to the outside so, have you thought about how you’re going to pass the time if you don’t have courses?”

Seeing Hong Chenyi so happy that she might have wagged a tail if she had one, I spoke to dampen her spirits.

“Ah? Ahhhh...”

Hearing my “confirmed reply,” Hong Chenyi immediately became crestfallen on the sofa, like a stupid loli crying and throwing a fit on the floor.

“I think Hong Chenyi should just continue going to Fengqing Street to be her little princess of Hong Chen...”

“Shut up! You fellow, don’t mention that!”

Hong Chenyi suddenly sat up and interrupted Guan Qiuling’s insulting suggestion.

“Then go chase your Shi Huiyu?”

“Forget it, don’t mention her...”

“I couldn’t tell, Hong Chenyi, have you turned over a new leaf and even discarded your simp status?”

I asked with a smile from the side.

“Big Sis Little Han, are you insulting me like this too! I’m going to cry... I’m really going to cry, eh!”

“Ew seeing you in this posture makes me want to gag.”

Guan Qiuling spoke from the side to undermine her.

It seemed that after this year of living together, Guan Qiuling appeared much less introverted than before.

However, since they lived in the same dorm, everyone indeed knew each other inside out and was clearly aware of each other’s former gender.

Although they knew that entering the Witch Academy meant a complete farewell to the past, when they gathered together, there was truly no need to deliberately act with that kind of girly posture.

Of course, Hong Chenyi’s current look was absolutely her true nature being exposed.

“By the way, speaking of which, it’s so late. Have you eaten? If not, I’ll treat you tonight. We just happened to gather for the new semester. If I think of you next time, we might not be able to meet so completely.”

“Big Sis Little Han wants to treat us to dinner? Great!”

“It’s going to cost Big Sis Little Han a lot again, eh.”

“It’s fine, it’s not considered a lot. Current me has already passed the stage of worrying about money, so don’t be polite with me.”

I said very generously.

“Good! We definitely won’t be polite! So where is Big Sis Little Han taking us? The night stalls not far downstairs, or should we hit up the snack street?”

“Big Sis Little Han’s status is extraordinary now. Hong Chenyi, are you sure you want to suggest those places?”

“Could it be that we’re going to those hotels in the commercial district that are expensive as hell and heard to have average-tasting dishes?”

“How about... going to Modu! How about it?”

I suggested.

“The Witch Academy is an academy built on top of Modu, but you’ve been in the academy for so long and probably haven’t been to Modu many times, right?”

“Big Sis Little Han’s suggestion is great, eh! I indeed haven’t been to Modu much. Back when I was abducted to the Witch Academy, as soon as I entered the Modu boundary, I directly entered another place.”

“Hehe I’ve been. Didn’t I go home during the holiday after the first semester? Actually, I went back after playing in Modu for a few days. Don’t say it, Modu’s prices are really expensive as hell!”

Hong Chenyi said with a smile, finally complaining a bit.

“Eh? No... shouldn’t you be concerned about how we’re going to get to Modu? Leaving the Witch Academy requires applying in advance, eh!”

Dongli Yiren reminded from the side.

“Even if it’s the start of the newcomer semester right now, it doesn’t mean we can enter and leave freely, right? Does Big Sis Little Han have a way?”

“Hmm... it seems so.”

“Did you not consider it either, Big Sis Little Han? Can a Teaching Assistant help us write an out-of-school application form?”

“I’m actually not too clear about that, but a Teaching Assistant can enter and leave the academy freely themselves, though it seems they can’t quite take people out...”

I said after thinking for a bit.

Although Transcendent Witches could seemingly write applications, that would mean bothering Big Sis Bai.

“Then... should we still just wander around the commercial district?”

Hong Chenyi suggested.

“We can sneak out. I have teleportation spells; taking you along is no problem at all!”

“Ah? Sneaking out? Is... is that okay?”

“Don’t worry the academy is very lenient regarding this.”

I recalled the expression of that senior back when Big Sis Bai took me through the “regular channel” for once...

Actually, as long as it didn’t cause a serious impact, the academy couldn’t be bothered to manage such things.

“Since Big Sis Little Han says so, then I’m in!”

“Alright... I’m in too...”

“Take me with you!”

“It looks like I have no choice.”

“Rest assured if anything really happens, I’ll take the blame for you.”

I made a guarantee.

Right now in the Witch Academy, truly no one dared to look for trouble with me.

“It’s fine even if a problem really occurs, just consider it as having a complete academy life for once. Who hasn’t had moments of being willful?”

So in the end, the five of us hit it off immediately.

We directly left the Witch Academy through a teleportation spell.

Once outside, the scenery, which was completely different from the Witch Academy, brought us a totally different sense of novelty.

After all, a place like Modu was one of the most developed regions in the Main World, while other places had completely different directions of development due to being radiated by different Transcendent Academies.

Some places were even still at a very backward level.

“Wow... is this Modu?”

The five of us strolled on the street.

Even the hurried passers-by would be attracted by the sight of five young girls walking together.

However, the thought of hitting on us was extinguished as soon as it rose in a place like Modu, if one saw beautiful girls walking together who were out of place with their surroundings, one would know without guessing that these were students of the Witch Academy.

This time period was precisely during the start of the semester; the risk of hitting on students from the Witch Academy was very high.

Furthermore, for ordinary people, students of the Witch Academy could not carry on the family line, and it was rumored that students of the Witch Academy all had very problematic sexual orientations, many even being very repulsed by the opposite sex.

Moreover, it was rumored that if one hit on them, one would be cursed or something.

Thus, this resulted in truly very few cases of sexual harassment in Modu.

You can succeed at sexual harassment countless times, but as long as you get hit once, your life is basically done for.

What’s more, the nights in Modu had many urban legends.

These were not just limited to legends but actually existed.

Most of those things were caused by the witches of the Witch Academy, but people who lived in Modu year-round were mostly used to it.

“Alright, Hong Chenyi don’t expose your true nature here. People aren’t even paying attention to you.”

“Really? I don’t think so? That fellow has walked from that street corner to here, and his gaze has already peeked at us dozens of times. Am I not allowed to give him a little lesson?”

“Then he indeed should...”

“Speaking of which, the sun is about to set. Have you decided where we’re going to eat?”

Dongli Yiren, who was simply hungry, inquired from the side.

“How about wandering a bit longer? Modu’s night view is great!”

Hong Chenyi suggested.

“Then let’s go to that place. With such a high floor, we can just happen to see the night view from up high. I’ll see if I have a membership card for this hotel.”

I pointed to the tallest building visible in the distance.

In Modu, many industries were actually closely related to the Witch Academy.

Or rather, a very ordinary student you knew in the Witch Academy might have a family that owned its own property in an expensive place like Modu.

“Ah? Big Sis Little Han, you actually have a membership card? Does such a thing really exist? Is Big Sis Little Han a regular here?”

“Not really many people in the academy hope to get on my good side. If I don’t have one, we’ll just look for another place.”

I shrugged and said, then looked through that pile of received gifts.

With the classification of the appraisal spell, it was quite convenient to find it.

“Phew found it.”

......

“Finally arrived. This is the first time I’ve had to take an elevator for so long.”

Under the guidance of a waiter, we were brought to a private room on a high floor.

Originally we only requested a high floor and a window seat, but after I displayed my “status,” we were directly brought here.

As the saying goes, a bargain should naturally be taken.

“Come, come, come order the food, just eat it like a buffet.”

I took the menu with its low-key luxury binding and threw it over as I spoke.

“Then we won’t be polite with you, Big Sis Little Han haha, as expected of a high-end restaurant, I’ve never seen these dishes in the cafeteria.”

Hong Chenyi was the first to take the menu and then discussed with Guan Qiuling nearby about what to order, while I took the time to enjoy Modu’s night view from the side.

This time period was very well chosen.

After that last ray of light from the setting sun fell below the horizon, Modu’s night view immediately took the stage.

“Big Sis Little Han, what you’re reading is...”

“Hm? Oh, the Book in the Casket. You should know it, it’s a book for me to pass the time when I’m bored.”

I waved the book in my hand and explained to Yu Yetian nearby.

“I heard this is also your weapon?”

“Of course usually it’s the medium for me to read books, and during battle, it’s the most convenient brick in my hand.”

“I see. I was wondering why it seemed to have become a trend in the academy recently to use thickened magic books as spellcasting tools. So this trend was started by you, Little Han?”

“I suppose so. Do you want to customize one too?”

“Actually, I’m more curious about the content in this book. Is it downloaded in advance?”

“Mm... it’s knowledge collected within the Great Tree of Knowledge. I review it when I have nothing to do. After all, you should understand that knowing and learning are two different concepts.”

“True. The Seed of Great Knowledge gives me that feeling too. It’s more like a tool to assist learning rather than something to help slack off.”

“I’m glad you can understand this logic. Later in the dorm, if Hong Chenyi and the others go astray, help pull them back. I always feel they are very unreliable and don’t have that kind of self-awareness yet.”

“You don’t need to feel it; Hong Chenyi is just like that.”

“That’s not very good, eh.”

I complained.

While I was chatting with Yu Yetian, Hong Chenyi and the others had already finalized what we were going to eat tonight.

Although they ordered quite a bit, I could just pack the leftovers for them to take back and eat slowly.

Even the highest-end hotel shouldn’t be unable to provide a packing service, right?

“Speaking of which, have you truly not thought about what you’re going to do this semester?”

During a gap in the meal, I brought up a point.

“If there’s any place Big Sis Little Han needs to use us, just say so there’s no need to test whether we’re willing for you to still be able to remember us from this dorm, we already treat you as our friend! If you don’t dislike us, Big Sis Little Han... hehe.”

Hong Chenyi was the first to speak.

“Alright, Hong Chenyi, the words you say are even more direct than mine.”

I spoke somewhat helplessly.

It seemed I truly couldn’t keep things hidden, eh.

“I do indeed have some matters. Whether this matter is good or bad... you can distinguish it for yourselves. I won’t force whether you’re willing to do it. I’ve been conducting a project recently, Self-generating Magic Power...”

“Eh? Self-generating Magic Power?! It’s that! That... thing spreading on the Academy Network! I heard you even recruited Tan Han into it!”

Hearing a term like Self-generating Magic Power, Hong Chenyi was the first to jump up in excitement!

“You already know? It spread so quickly on the Academy Network?”

“Of course! Ever since I found out the Seed of Great Knowledge can also access the Academy Network, I’ve been a high-level surfer on the Academy Network! I’m determined to visit every post and short video that mentions you, Big Sis Little Han!”

“That’s not really necessary...”
