Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

With the start of the new semester, the brand new teaching mode not only attracted the newcomers to begin contacting the transcendent world and feel the pleasure of holding extraordinary power in their hands, but it also left many senior students watching from the side with envy and jealousy, lamenting that they were born too early.

Regarding the promotion of the Seed of Knowledge, it was currently being slowly popularized throughout the school, and the laboratory where the Seeds of Knowledge were “planted” was bearing the heavy responsibility of providing a large number of Seeds of Knowledge in a short period of time.

However, following the friction between the Witch Academy and other transcendent academies, the fact that the Seeds of Knowledge could be popularized across the school so quickly was also thanks to the suspension of cooperation between those transcendent academies; otherwise, this batch of Seeds of Knowledge should have been provided to them according to the cooperation agreements.

As the senior students started the new semester, their only consolation was likely the Myriad Connection Arena, which did not disappoint their expectations and launched a competitive mode based on the power network mode.

In fact, quite a few students were still a bit afraid to try this mode, which was caused by a lack of confidence in their own strength, until the arena put up slogans such as “The weak arm themselves with power; the strong master power.”

Only then was the enthusiasm of some people sparked.

Of course, debuting alongside this slogan were tournaments organized unilaterally by the arena, as well as graded ladder rankings.

As the saying goes, wherever there is a ranking, there is war!

What’s more, this was an official ranking from the arena.

Although not every student would challenge in the arena, this also roughly reflected one’s general level and ranking within the academy.

Therefore, the competitive mode centered on the power network within the arena had even carved out a brand new competitive category for itself.

Competitive matches that did not participate in the ladder rankings but still used the power network were also classified within it.

This brand new competition mode and its grading would continue for a long time before tending toward stability, and this also meant that those senior students who had nothing better to do and liked to fight everywhere finally had a place to battle.

Against such a grand backdrop, the newcomers also welcomed their own Newcomer Competition.

Although the newcomers enjoyed a brand new course experience that the seniors of previous years had never experienced, their Newcomer Competition was far less heated than those of previous years.

In previous years, even the last batch, the Newcomer Competition was enough to make the entire academy cheer, but this batch bumped into the grand events of the arena, so the small-scale squabbles between the newcomers seemed insufficient.

The main issue was one of comparison.

In response to this, the director of the newcomer grade expressed that the arena’s behavior was simply too much—couldn’t they wait until after their customary Newcomer Competition ended before doing this!

However, although the arena was said to be under the management of student clubs, such a massive change could not be accomplished without the academy’s consent.

She had also raised objections, but… many witches felt that since the academy had adopted a brand new mode, the Newcomer Competition should also return to its essence.

The newcomers had only been enrolled for a few days and had little experience in mastering transcendent power, so the significance of such a match could not compare to the competitive significance of the arena…

This wave of events almost turned the director of the newcomer grade, Banaier, into a member of the conservative faction.

One must know that she was the witch leading the newcomer classes at the forefront of the academy’s reforms!

How could she be part of the conservative faction?

But she also truly had to admit that the significance of the Newcomer Competition’s existence was somewhat lacking.

What’s more, her original idea was to hope to mobilize all students of the entire grade to participate.

Even if it was just a one-round trip, at least every student should have the opportunity to participate, breaking the old rule where only designated class presidents could participate.

But the arena could not cooperate, so ideas could only remain ideas and could not be put into practice.

And besides the arena, was there truly no other place in the Witch Academy that could provide for so many students to conduct a competition?

No… there were, there were many.

The reason why the Newcomer Competition chose the arena in the past was that it could accommodate many spectators and the number of participants was small, as only class presidents could participate.

And there were many venues that could accommodate more people: the training grounds used for practical courses, the free testing grounds in the teaching area, and so on.

These places needed to satisfy the needs of students from multiple classes attending classes at the same time, as well as the needs of multiple groups battling within a class.

Therefore, some training grounds included underground areas, and their spatial proportion was far larger than that of the arena, and their high-altitude depth also suited the needs of three-dimensional combat.

It was just that such places could not accommodate spectators.

If the Newcomer Competition was held in such a place, then it truly would become the newcomers’ own self-entertainment.

But… as the director of the newcomer grade, Banaier finally chose to compromise.

She also really wanted her students to show their faces in the academy and wanted more students to pay attention to the performance of the newcomers, but this was merely her own wishful thinking.

In previous years, what the Newcomer Competition brought to the entire academy was mostly disappointment.

As for the last batch… the last batch bumped into the destiny script and the Child of Destiny, plus a monster who transcended the script.

Coupled with other transcendent academies coming to join the fun, the competition turned into a multi-school exchange match later on.

The last batch was already an unrepeatable miracle.

And for this batch… she truly should recognize reality.

The power network mode was not suitable for the Witch Academy to step outside the academy to seek exchanges with other transcendent academies.

Even if there were to be exchanges, it would be the other party coming to the Witch Academy.

However, the other transcendent academies had just provoked the Witch Academy, and the relationship was very subtle; it was estimated that the relationship would not ease so quickly.

So in the end, Banaier placed the Newcomer Competition at the training grounds.

As for those who needed to attend classes here normally… they all had to make way.

Anyway, even if this training ground wasn’t available, there were other places; even if the training grounds didn’t work, weren’t there still the testing grounds?

It was just a course, how could it be so inconvenient?

If they could tolerate holding the Newcomer Competition here, couldn’t the courses be held elsewhere?

However, Banaier secured the permission for all-around perspective live-streaming provided by the root network.

Although there were no spectators around the competition to cheer for them, it wasn’t impossible to do so on the network.

What’s more, their Newcomer Competition involved the participation of all newcomers, and the newcomers themselves were the spectators of this competition.

Allowing this competition to return to its own significance, letting newcomers cheer for newcomers, and letting the power of the transcendent plant the seeds of longing in the hearts of newcomers—that was its original meaning.

Of course, the main reason that forced Banaier to helplessly choose this traditional competition mode between newcomers was… she didn’t protect those clones she extorted… no, borrowed from Xiao Han.

As the saying goes, plans cannot keep up with changes.

After completing the newcomer admission, those hundred-plus Xiao Han clones also caught the attention of many witches.

Ultimately, these clones were taken away by the arena… those clones became the important gatekeepers for the arena’s power network ladder rankings, as well as official testing opponents for the players’ placement matches…

After all, Xiao Han’s mastery of the power network was obvious to all during the previous final exam hunt.

Since the clones could only use the power network, they were an excellent benchmark for strength.

Of course, for Banaier to become the director of the newcomer grade, she was naturally not the type that anyone could bully.

Although those Xiao Han clones were borrowed away and she only kept a few for herself, as the price for them being borrowed, she solved the problem of the reward sources for this year’s Newcomer Competition.

In previous years, the rewards for the Newcomer Competition were not very many, and because the number of participants was small, they were provided by the academy, along with various transcendent materials obtained from the periodic clearing of Earth Vein Stagnation.

But the newcomers of this batch used the root network instead of the former Earth Vein network, so the phenomenon of Earth Vein Stagnation was alleviated, but this also meant that the Newcomer Competition lacked an important source of prizes.

Although witches could also develop and utilize Earth Vein resources through other ways, the newcomers participating in this match this time were the entire student body!

The base for the required rewards was massive.

At least every newcomer should have a participation prize as an incentive; otherwise, the passion of the newcomers could be worn away.

It could be said that as the director of the first generation of academy reform, Banaier truly carried the banner of trial and error.

The main thing was that all of this was too hasty, to the point that there wasn’t much time for planning.

But as compensation, she abandoned the plan to use Xiao Han’s clones to bring “despair” to the newcomers in exchange for numerous tournament prizes.

Furthermore, she also prepared to do something big in this Newcomer Competition.

She was going to throw the newcomers who emerged as victors from the final Newcomer Competition into the arena’s power network ladder ranking events!

This could be considered her revenge.

After all… no one in the arena could bear the outcome of being defeated by newcomers who had only been enrolled for a few days!

When the time came, she would personally use rewards to incentivize them—defeat one senior, get one reward!

No upper limit!

She would give those people a show of provocation and humiliation from the newcomers.

She really wanted to prove that newcomers could show their brilliance at the academy level.

But this also required the newcomers to be capable.

Even if they only went for a one-round trip in the arena’s ladder rankings… at least it counted as showing their faces, didn’t it?

But the opportunity to show one’s face was not available to everyone, and this opportunity was the slots decided by the victors of the Newcomer Competition.

When the time came, she would let the remaining few Xiao Han clones increase the intensity for them and help them adapt.

The students recruited by the Witch Academy always had children naturally suited for battle.

Did people truly think that under the coverage of the college entrance examination destiny allocation ritual, this form of selection was truly for choosing problem-solving machines to deal with exams?

Such people would only be eliminated by destiny even faster.

……

Laboratory.

Many days had already passed since the start of school. the passion of the arena and the newcomers’ competition—these matters seemed to have nothing to do with me.

Even though I clearly knew my clones were being snatched back and forth, I didn’t mind it.

In the end, these were just clones after all.

Being able to shine and give their all in the Witch Academy could be considered their value.

Ultimately, keeping them was only because destroying them directly was too much of a pity.

But speaking of the progress here in the laboratory, it could also be considered touching.

During these days, Tan Han also gradually began to understand what Self-generating Magic Power truly was and what we had sacrificed for it.

In the very beginning, Tan Han actually still had a sliver of resistance.

This manifested the gap between someone like Tan Han and people like Yi Rui in terms of concepts.

Yi Rui and the others were already old fritters.

And regarding this behavior of playing with death and life, Tan Han still expressed understanding and respect.

As for acceptance… in fact, she herself hadn’t experienced many real deaths.

Although she had experienced the Resurrection Spell, she still held a heart of reverence toward death.

Actually, I appreciated this mindset of Tan Han’s.

Anyone should hold a heart of reverence toward death, but the death I understood and the death Tan Han understood were not the same, so this was one of the reasons leading to the conceptual gap.

However, since Tan Han joined this laboratory, we had already passed that stage of requiring continuous death.

Tan Han only needed to accept the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell to be sufficient to step onto the threshold of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method.

Subsequently, techniques regarding the “Self-generating Magic Power Construction Ritual,” “Witchified Ritual Battle Dance,” and so on all needed to be learned by her.

The ultimate role of learning these techniques was only to achieve the final “Self-generating Magic Power,” and in this process, there were also many areas to be developed.

And “Body-transformation Spell-type Physical Arts” was the most basic application of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method.

Perhaps the system of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method was not merely used for the birth of physical talents like Self-generating Magic Power.

After such a talent was born, the Witchified Body Cultivation Method still had its meaning for existence.

Self-generating Magic Power was more like a periodic divisional platform for the Witchified Body Cultivation Method.

It provided the possibility for reserve witches to obtain Self-generating Magic Power in advance, and it also gave reserve witches who already possessed Self-generating Magic Power, and even transcendent witches, a path to learn this transcendent system.

And how far this path could go… depended on to what level of perfection I could bring it.

Because the entire “Witchified Body Cultivation Method” was a kind of feedback built upon my cognition of the physical talent of Self-generating Magic Power.

And this also accorded with my original intention of wanting to continue deeply understanding Self-generating Magic Power.

For others, after they had cultivated Self-generating Magic Power through the Witchified Body Cultivation Method, there might not be any significance in continuing the cultivation, but only I knew that if I could more deeply understand Self-generating Magic Power, then I could give the Witchified Body Cultivation Method a higher level of meaning at any time.

But it was still a bit too early to say these things.

After all, one must eat one bite at a time.

During this period, I was deeply understanding the racial concepts and bloodline information of the witch race, and using my own case as the observation result.

The so-called “Witchification” was, in essence, a process of remodeling and structuring the deep life essence through “Magic Power” and techniques I couldn’t understand.

Furthermore, the reason why this structuring process was carried out passively was because this “unknown technique” was structured upon the life level.

Only reaching the “transcendent life level” was the moment when the complete “witch racial concept” and “bloodline information” finished remodeling the life essence.

And Self-generating Magic Power was the product “hatched” under the racial concept, so the “Witchified Body Cultivation Method” was truly one of the foundations of the witch race.

After all, it was structured upon the witch racial concept.

This was me feeling its importance so intuitively; after all, it was only a guess before, but now its status was directly demonstrated.

And my “Witchified Body Cultivation Method” borrowed the Magic Power Source, which was equivalent to an improvement structured twice upon the “Magic Power Source Body Cultivation Method,” and was also equivalent to structuring the “Self-generating Magic Power” under the witch race “hatching” concept in advance.

With the support of this theoretical process, it represented that the “Self-generating Magic Power” obtained in advance had clear evidence to prove that Self-generating Magic Power could promote a person to accelerate their advancement to Transcendent Witch.

This could even, to a certain extent, replace the role of the “Witch Project” in the advancement to Transcendent Witch.

After all, Self-generating Magic Power itself was a concept strongly associated with the Great Witch Project and numerous sub-projects.

However, a witch who advanced to Transcendent Witch this way would most likely only have some achievements in the field of the Witchified Body Cultivation Method in the future, because this was the foundation of her advancement to Transcendent Witch.

But… this didn’t count for much.

After all, no matter how mediocre a Transcendent Witch was, she was still a Transcendent Witch.

There were many mediocre Transcendent Witches, but true geniuses would not be wrapped up by such constraints.

Self-generating Magic Power only lowered the lower threshold for advancement to transcendent; it did not lower the upper limit a witch could reach.
