Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“We won!”

Seeing such a situation, even Xia Li and Ying Shiqian couldn’t help but be influenced by the emotions of the scene.

Although they clearly knew that the undying nature possessed by high-grade students made it impossible for Tan Han to decide the victory with a single blow, a person heavily injured by one strike would only fall into a situation where they couldn’t turn things around in such a high-intensity confrontation environment.

The entire arena was covered in a layer of frost and snow at this moment, and snowflakes still drifted in the air.

Everything within the frozen world had also exploded into a cloud of ice dust because of the high-intensity spell impact.

However, this obstruction of vision couldn’t block the perception of other means.

Although there was still an overlapping space of the frozen world in between, Spirit Vision could see everything very clearly.

Therefore, I didn’t immediately start celebrating like the shop manager and the others, because... Tan Han hadn’t won yet, or rather, she hadn’t even occupied an absolute advantage at this moment.

“As expected, the characteristics are the same as the Grand Sorcery of the False World Space.”

I spoke up.

“Oh? That Grand Sorcery from the exchange match at the Bobapus Archipelago during your first semester, the method used by the Wizard Academy?”

Big Sis Chris also chimed in to speak with me.

“Yes... death in that world is not true death. The April in the frozen world was merely a projection of frost.”

“What?”

Hearing my words, the shop manager and Ying Shiqian both immediately stopped their cheering and turned to look at me and Mentor Chris in disbelief.

They seemed to be hoping that my words just now were a joke.

Accompanying the talk between Big Sis Chris and me, the changes on the match field appeared even more intense.

The April who was thoroughly “killed” in the frozen world fell onto the arena match stage, wrapped in the shattered ice.

This was a mistake on her part; she thought she would never have to use this life-saving method.

She merely held the “Frozen World” in her hand, much like Tan Han holding the Wand of Absolute Cold.

Death in that world was not true death, but an effect similar to a substitute for death.

And this effect was universal; it wasn’t just targeted at her.

Any “death” in the frozen world was fake, and any attack enough to be lethal would merely expel the outsider from that “world.”

So... things were now in a stalemate.

She couldn’t truly kill Tan Han, who was still in the frozen world.

Mainly, she had never thought that Tan Han could also enter that place.

She was too naive, thinking that by holding the carrier of the frozen world, she was the only one with access permission.

Now her only advantage was the information gap, letting Tan Han think she was heavily injured.

Only by revoking the frozen world and forcibly expelling Tan Han from there could she truly cause damage to Tan Han.

Tan Han didn’t have undying nature, so her advantage was very great.

Thus, in the moment when the ice dust had not yet dispersed, the frozen world was already revoked.

She relied on her previous estimation of Tan Han’s positioning to start casting spells.

Although spellbooks already saved the trouble of the cumbersome spell architecture, chanting, ritual drawing, and other steps, high-end casters had an all-around understanding of spells.

Perhaps they wouldn’t specifically research runology or learn spell ritual construction and so on, but regarding the spellbooks they mastered, they would also feel curious about the spell itself.

What’s more, April was a Teaching Assistant; she inevitably needed to cater to Mentor Chris and thus had to learn something and know something.

The current situation in the arena was shocking even to the commentator, but as a veteran commentator, facing such a complex situation, she clearly knew that this was not the time to describe things to the extreme, but to guide the emotions of the audience as much as possible.

Just when they thought this battle was about to be decided with one final blow, intense spell fluctuations shook away the interference of the ice dust, and April’s nearly unharmed figure appeared once again!

This turn of events immediately left many people stunned.

“Heavens! Participant April is unharmed! Participant April actually managed to seize an opportunity under such unavoidable desperate circumstances!”

At this moment, the commentator, upholding her professional ethics, immediately reacted to explain this unbelievable scene to everyone.

As for Tan Han, after the previous burst of momentum, both her body and spirit could only be in a state of waning under such huge expectations and contrast.

The only thing she could rely on was the Wand of Absolute Cold with its seal completely unraveled.

The previously exploding ice dust had bought too much time for April.

The time Tan Han could react with now could only secure a nearly instant-cast protective spell.

Even augmented under the state of the Wand of Absolute Cold’s complete liberation, it was difficult to withstand such a spell.

Boom—!

A huge explosion rang out again.

Even under the protection of the augmented protective spell and the extreme cold solid ice, Tan Han was still sent flying by the explosion.

Fortunately, Tan Han didn’t directly receive the damage from the spell.

Although she wasn’t heavily injured, this kind of injury required a spell for temporary treatment and stabilization, which would be a drain on Tan Han’s Magic Power consumption.

“Tan Han has been sent flying! Heavens! A shocking reversal! The situation has turned! Participant Tan Han’s current situation is extremely unfavorable...”

The commentator had originally thought about taking this interval to speak disparagingly about Tan Han, creating such a huge contrast and also stirring up suspense about whether Tan Han could make a comeback against the wind, but she didn’t do so in the next moment.

“Participant April... this, this! This is actually a second type of Super Consumption Spellbook! According to the real-time measurement of our participant’s Magic Power consumption, Participant April indeed only has a final thousand or so Magic Power remaining, but she still resolutely chose to activate the Super Consumption Spellbook! It looks like this move is her final finishing blow!”

“The charging time for this strike is so long; if my guess is correct, this should be a Super Consumption Transformation Spell! It seems the victory is already decided, the probability of Participant Tan Han being able to turn the tables during April’s transformation is minuscule...”

The commentator reached this point, her tone full of regret, as if the victory was established.

“Is Tan Han just going to lose like this?!”

The shop manager spoke very unwillingly at this moment.

Clearly... just now!

Why was there such a cheating thing!

Although... on some level... the Wand of Absolute Cold was also a very cheating weapon just like the frozen world.

“But even so, it’s not like Tan Han has no chance of winning.”

I stood up and said with a smile.

“Little Han actually thinks she can win in this kind of situation? Is it convenient to tell me?”

Chris also asked with great interest.

After all, she also felt that under these circumstances, Tan Han still didn’t have much chance of winning.

Although the transformation period of a transformation spell was indeed a time for counterattack, just think back to the previous Ancient Glacial Ice Transformation Spell; its opening prestige alone was enough to make an opponent hard to handle.

And the flame-type transformation spell April currently mastered had completely turned the originally snow-covered arena into an ocean of fire!

Under this posture of transformation, April had the combat power for a sustained battle against the Wand of Absolute Cold, while Tan Han no longer had the capacity for sustained combat.

Although it was said that ice and fire countered each other, in the end, it was merely the strong countering the weak.

“Big Sis Chris wants to know?”

I propped myself on the edge of the viewing stand and turned my head to look at Chris.

“Won’t Big Sis Chris know if she comes forward to look?”

“Alright.”

Chris got up and came to the front of the stand with a look of having no choice.

When she, on the stand, met April’s gaze in the distant arena as if by fate, she suddenly understood what Tan Han’s chance of winning was.

On the arena stage.

“I don’t want to lose... Is there any other way to win...”

When Tan Han was sent flying by this strike, she accepted such a disadvantage, but just as she said, she didn’t want to be defeated in such a pathetic way by the opponent’s desperate comeback!

Did she have any other means!

At this moment, Tan Han’s brain thought at high speed, and even the Seed of Great Knowledge, which helped her control the overall situation with information data, was running at full speed.

“Found a way...”

“Hm?”

Hearing this conclusion, Tan Han subconsciously looked toward the Shadow of Knowledge, but she rejected this thought in the next moment.

“You aren’t the Shadow of Knowledge...”

“I was just now, but not anymore. Thank you for opening the communication permission.”

“Doing this is against the rules, isn’t it...”

“What nonsense are you talking? Isn’t the Seed of Great Knowledge one of your abilities? This is an Unrestricted Competition; I’m just giving you a suggestion on the field as your spectator fan, and you just happened to obtain what I’m saying through the Seed of Great Knowledge.”

“On the field, isn’t it common for fans to teach challengers how to fight? Although most of the time the people on the field treat these words as harassment.”

“What should I do...”

“I am your situation-breaker. Let that April see me on the spectator stand. I’ll create an opportunity for you to disrupt her transformation. Of course, there’s only one chance.”

“What? Let her see you?”

“If you can’t do that, just let her look in my direction. And the opportunity I mentioned... is the moment she gets distracted. As for what to do next, I don’t need to teach you, do I?”

Tan Han subconsciously turned sideways to look at the spectator standing behind her, just in time to see Little Han looking as if she were about to stand up.

“I...”

Tan Han naturally knew what she had to do: disrupt April’s transformation spell!

How familiar such a scene was!

Wasn’t her first match with Little Han ended in such a way?

But Tan Han clearly knew that April wasn’t the same as her former self who had such obvious flaws, and she wasn’t Little Han either, capable of seeing through the spell core at a glance and breaking the ritual architecture of the transformation spell with one strike.

So was there any way to solve these two problems?

The first problem, Little Han said she would solve it, so what about the second?

What other means did she have... the Seed of Great Knowledge?

No... it was the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell!

Little Han definitely knew she didn’t have that kind of ability, so since Little Han said so, her only chance to achieve it... was the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

In just an instant, Tan Han regrouped again.

After using a healing spell to ensure she wouldn’t be obstructed by injuries, her Magic Power consumption was nearly at rock bottom, so she only had one chance, and Little Han could only create one chance for her.

She just didn’t know how this opportunity would be created.

Would there be direct interference with the match?

Or something else?

At this moment, Tan Han even felt that victory or defeat was no longer important.

Her current actions were more critical than the final outcome afterward!

“Do you still want to resist?”

April spoke disdainfully as she looked at Tan Han moving again.

Her voice, under the addition of the transformation spell, made the flames sweeping across this field tremble.

Tan Han could only rely on the Wand of Absolute Cold in her hand to evade the scorching high-temperature environment.

“You don’t have any more chances, Tan Han. For you, this is a match destined for loss!”

“Who wins and who loses... is yet to be decided!”

Tan Han swung the Wand of Absolute Cold.

The only thing she had that could cause damage to the Super Consumption Spellbook was the Wand of Absolute Cold; her consumption had reached rock bottom.

She didn’t have the means Little Han had to detonate a spellbook and cause such damage, so the only chance was the eruption after the Wand of Absolute Cold’s seal was unraveled.

This time it was again a duel between ice and fire, but she had become the one who had to make a desperate comeback.

“What is the basis for your continued persistence? That Wand of Absolute Cold? Such a means is just like a Super Consumption Spellbook—it’s a gambling chip that decides victory or defeat at this moment, not something to be treated as a means for you to obtain victory!”

April seemed to foresee her victory.

Although this victory was not honorable, it didn’t matter.

She only needed to thoroughly defeat Tan Han according to the requirements, crush her desire for victory, and break that fragile support of hers!

And now... her transformation spell was about to be completed.

Her figure was completely covered by flames, and the pressure from the “Flame Demon Transformation” surged out again.

The armor belonging to the Flame Demon condensed and covered that huge figure.

Although the transformation hadn’t been completely finished, the Red Flame Purgatory brought about by her every move forced Tan Han to flee everywhere like a cat playing with a mouse.

“Getting so close! Do you want to be burned to death by me!”

April looked in confusion at Tan Han stepping onto her transforming body and let out a roar, nearly sending Tan Han flying, but Tan Han had already stabilized her figure.

“April, those words are returned to you! I already hold the chip for victory in my hands. Why don’t you see who the person behind me is!”

“I don’t care who she is...”

April’s half-transformed posture was just about to roar and swat Tan Han down, but she was still guided by Tan Han’s words to look at the stand behind her.

Because that was a very conspicuous stand, and Tan Han’s figure somewhat blocked that area, but a figure was imprinted into her sight in a daze.

At this moment, in April’s eyes, Tan Han’s figure blurred, but the figure behind Tan Han gradually became clear until the gaze of that figure met hers.

That instinctive emotion of fear instantly crawled all over her body!

At this moment, even her nearly completed transformation spell trembled, nearly causing her to suffer a double backlash of mental strength and Magic Power from the Super Consumption Spellbook.

“Mentor... Chris...”

April spoke subconsciously, completely forgetting she was still on the match field.

And at this time, Tan Han also discovered such an obvious abnormality in April.

Was she hard-controlled?

She clearly hadn’t felt any spell means... but this wasn’t something she should consider.

“It’s true... then...”

Tan Han suppressed the joy of success.

Holding the Wand of Absolute Cold, within her vision was already the information displayed by the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

This information was abnormally abundant.

If she were to appraise it herself, she definitely wouldn’t be able to obtain so much data.

Therefore, there was only one possibility, which was that Little Han had already obtained this data in advance and shared it within the Great Tree of Knowledge.

Only after the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell of the Seed of Great Knowledge obtained information on the same target would it be so abundant.

“It’s over... April! Right now is my chip for final victory!”

......

On the spectator stand.

“Little Han, you’re too cunning, this shouldn’t be against the rules, right?”

“How could it be? This is an Unrestricted Competition, after all.”

I shrugged and turned my head to speak with a smile to Big Sis Chris.
