Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“Phew wow... we really got out.”

Ying Shiqian followed us as we left the arena.

Earlier, she felt as if everyone was watching her wherever she went.

That kind of feeling... was something she had never experienced before!

“What? Are you afraid the arena would detain you?”

I asked with a smile.

“This... after all, we didn’t expect you to directly say those kinds of words in that kind of venue. It felt like you were going up against everyone, eh!”

“Don’t worry the arena is just a free and open competitive platform. I just announced that Tan Han wouldn’t participate in any more challenges, explained the reason along the way, and... threatened the fellows who still had some ideas, that’s all.”

I said quite relaxed.

“So Little Tan won’t have to be pestered by those fellows anymore? Little Han, you’re so, so amazing!”

“Who said that? Isn’t Tan Han still going to my laboratory to become my assistant?”

I shrugged and said as if it were a matter of course.

“Eh? Little Han, wasn’t that just a reason you randomly found?!”

Ying Shiqian looked as if she had heard something incredible.

“No... Little Han, wait, you really have some kind of experiment?”

“Yes, I have been doing experiments all along.”

And I had quite a few laboratories.

Thinking back to after becoming a Teaching Assistant, the villa given to me was also changed into a semi-laboratory by me, and the basement was also transformed by me into a private laboratory.

Later, the Academy Head approved another laboratory for me for the derivative development of the Grand Spellbooks.

Afterward, I went to the Expansion Realm and organized the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory.

Subsequent avatars established Transcendent laboratories in various shelters, guiding the people of the Expansion Realm to recognize the Transcendent field, looking forward to them developing their own Transcendent system.

Later, I started the research on Self-generating Magic Power in the Expansion Realm, stirring up a whole mess of things.

Finally, in the experimental area of the Witch Academy, the Academy Head approved a formal laboratory for me.

Therefore, I was truly busy usually.

I didn’t even have time to go to many places and acted like a hands-off manager.

One of my avatars was left over at the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree laboratory, and I rarely went to the laboratory that researched the Seed of Great Knowledge and the cultivation of the Seed of Knowledge anymore.

Current main energy was placed on this side of the Self-generating Magic Power project laboratory.

“By the way, Tan Han, you should be willing to become my assistant, right?”

I turned my head to look at Tan Han and asked with a smile.

Because of the time, related matters hadn’t been recounted in detail yet.

“I naturally have no problem with this.”

This time, Tan Han rarely didn’t directly refuse and just nodded with some acceptance.

“I’m afraid you actually had this idea from the very beginning, right? Can you tell me about that experiment? If I didn’t remember wrong, it should be called... Self-generating Magic Power?”

“Yes, the Self-generating Magic Power project experiment.”

“Eh? Project? Is there this branch among the witch projects?”

The shop manager inquired from the side.

As an old fritter who had finished her studies for many years, she naturally clearly knew how common experiments were for high-grade students.

After choosing a mentor in the fourth year, they basically followed their own mentor to do various experiments.

Either that, or you were unmotivated, and the teacher ignored you, and you just kept a name registered.

But if it were experiments and project research conducted by the students themselves, it was either for finishing studies or... for advancing to Transcendent Witches.

And Xia Li didn’t think Little Han was the kind of person who only worked for the sake of finishing studies.

“It’s not a witch project for advancing to Transcendent, but a more special applied technique project intended for popularization and promotion.”

“It sounds very high-end and grand. It’s a completely different level from the Evocation element branch project I used when I finished my studies back then...”

Senior Ying Shiqian sighed from the side.

“So please introduce what exactly this Self-generating Magic Power is, Little Han?”

“Self-generating Magic Power belongs to a type of special physical talent, generally common in witches who have advanced to Transcendent. Meaning that after advancing to a Transcendent Witch, one automatically possesses this physical talent.”

“Eh? A physical talent possessed by Transcendent Witches?!”

“Yes. Currently, my experiment is trying to possess this talent before even advancing to Transcendent. After all, before advancing to Transcendent, this talent can bring extremely convenient and powerful incidental abilities to Reserve Witches.”

After I finished saying this, I deliberately went to observe the expressions of the shop manager and Ying Shiqian.

They didn’t reveal too many puzzled looks, as if my way of saying it was very normal.

Regarding this, I naturally didn’t provide too much explanation, nor did I describe how difficult it was, much less recount what kind of meaning this represented.

Because that would require me to spend even more time to explain.

“You should know that the number of Magic Power Sources we Reserve Witches possess cannot exceed the limit of 10,000, right?”

“I remember this. I remember this seems to be the carrying capacity limit of the Earth Vein Chains?”

The shop manager introduced.

After all, as an old fritter who was once famous in the academy, the Magic Power Sources she possessed had naturally reached 10,000.

Magic Power Sources were also considered a very special equivalent in the Witch Academy; after all, their value would never disappear.

Therefore, many clubs would hoard Magic Power Sources.

The reason why Magic Power Sources in the Witch Academy had not reached the level of being completely rampant was mainly due to many clubs hoarding them.

The academy also encouraged this.

After all, with the academy’s development to this day, there was a certain tacit understanding between the academy and the clubs, and clubs had also become a link in the self-development of students.

“Yes, 10,000 is the carrying capacity limit of the Earth Vein Chains. And the reason why we need to use the Earth Vein Chains to carry Magic Power Sources and spellbooks is because we ourselves cannot carry these things. But as long as we have the Self-generating Magic Power physical talent, our own bodies can directly carry Magic Power Sources, bypassing the 10,000 Magic Power Source limit and possessing a greater quantity!”

“What! This!”

Hearing my description, the one with the most feeling was undoubtedly the shop manager.

Back then, she had similarly touched the threshold of the 10,000 limit.

Young and arrogant, she didn’t believe in heresy and tried again and again, but the final result was that no one could break through this limit!

So if this kind of ability were to be known by those high-grade students, they would truly go crazy.

They were precisely stuck at the threshold of the 10,000 limit and didn’t even have the qualification to touch the “Myriad Spellbook.”

Those high-grade students and the people in those clubs watched so many Magic Power Sources that they themselves couldn’t use—who wouldn’t be anxious?

Everyone wanted to go a step further!

Actually, this was probably what the mentors hoped for.

After all, if one wanted to go a step further, then... you could choose to advance to Transcendent!

A level set simply based on the number of Magic Power Sources was meaningless.

On the path of power, “Transcendent” was the only level threshold.

Even the so-called “Saint Stage” was just a human-defined level.

Therefore, in the so-called “Transcendent Entry into Saint Stage,” Transcendent comes first.

The reason why the Saint Stage was widely recognized by so many lives was because this level was a threshold built upon Transcendent, along with some other reasons.

“Alright, Shop Managers don’t make such a fuss. Perhaps this is very important to many people, but to me, it’s just an experimental project. This constitution also has many other benefits, such as increasing Magic Power affinity, increasing Magic Power recovery ability, and so on. So, Tan Han, do you want to give it a try?”

“If it’s truly as you said, then this is truly an experiment I cannot refuse... but... am I really qualified to be your assistant?”

After hearing all this, Tan Han was naturally extremely shocked in her heart.

To say she wasn’t moved would be a lie.

But she also deeply knew the gap between herself and the other party and similarly had no experience related to project experiments.

It wasn’t that she didn’t dare to try, but she was afraid of dragging down the so-called progress because of herself.

“Calling it an assistant is more like calling it a white mouse? Or rather, you are the subject of the experiment. Currently, our experiment is almost in its later stages. Actually, we’re just missing a case of complete success.”

I explained very bluntly.

“This... then why choose me?”

“Mm... probably when I saw you, I felt it was very suitable, and I’m helping you along the way. You’re very clear that I don’t know many people in the academy, and those I can call friends are even fewer. How about it?”

I looked at Tan Han and inquired, but this tone didn’t sound at all like soliciting consent, but rather stating a fact.

“If you agree to be this white mouse... I’ll take you to my laboratory. There, I’ll introduce some friends for you to get to know. They are all senior girls and Teaching Assistants. Initially, they were also tricked by me into being white mice, but eventually, they helped me a lot and are now considered important members of the laboratory’s Self-generating Magic Power project.”

“Little Tan... quickly agree.”

At this time, the shop manager’s unique brain circuitry also reacted the fastest.

At least she was truly good to Tan Han.

If Tan Han could get to know such a group of senior girls and even Teaching Assistants, this would be a good opportunity to expand her relationship network and develop her own connections!

This was far more promising than staying in her club that was about to decay!

And just as they were conversing in low voices, a communication message came from my Great Tree of Knowledge.

“I naturally agree...”

Tan Han didn’t think too much and directly agreed.

“I knew you wouldn’t refuse. Then let’s have it settled like this. I have a call here, wait a moment.”

I was very satisfied with Tan Han’s answer.

Or rather, from the very beginning, I didn’t think Tan Han would be the type to give up like this.

An opportunity to become even more powerful was placed right before her eyes—how could she remain unmoved?

I glanced at the light screen image presented by the Great Tree of Knowledge before my eyes.

The caller on it was Millian.

I knew it was her.

It should be to ask about the general situation of what happened at the arena, right?

After all, my actions were seen by many people and would be widely spread on the Academy Network when the time came.

And Millian naturally needed to communicate with me to see if I had any other arrangements; otherwise, helping in the wrong way would become a joke.

After connecting, Millian’s figure was presented before me.

Currently, the communication permission was private, since this was a street just outside the arena and the flow of people was still very large.

“My apologies, Big Sis Little Han, for disturbing you.”

“It’s nothing. Did you contact me suddenly because of the arena matter?”

I looked at Millian as she imagined before me and didn’t waste words, going straight to the point.

“Yes, Big Sis Little Han. I also only just found out about this matter. I didn’t expect you would do this at the arena. Do you need our support group to cooperate and do anything? This matter will definitely be spread on a large scale on the Academy Network afterward, especially since you also mentioned the concept of the Self-generating Magic Power experiment...”

As the person communicating with the Self-generating Magic Power laboratory, Millian would naturally also learn some information related to the Self-generating Magic Power experiment from those senior girls.

And she had also gone to learn about the relevant concepts additionally, so she very clearly knew exactly how significant the meaning of this experiment was.

“It is indeed a bit troublesome. Mm... just don’t let the matters on the Academy Network interfere with my real life. As for the concept of Self-generating Magic Power, I needed to promote it myself anyway.”

“Promote... Self-generating Magic Power?! This... does it really need to be like this?”

“What? You feel this kind of ability shouldn’t be promoted? Or do you think this kind of ability should be hidden and not widely spread?”

“No, that’s not what I meant!”

Millian hurriedly waved her hands.

She didn’t think she had the ability to teach Big Sis Little Han how to do things.

Even if she had a set of scales in her own heart, that was also her own judgment, but she wasn’t acting for herself right now.

“The project of the Self-generating Magic Power physical talent was born for popularization and large-scale promotion from the very beginning. Before this project was born, I had already possessed this constitution through special means. Therefore, the effect of this technique on me now has only the meaning of letting others possess the same constitution.”

“I understand...”

Millian tactfully didn’t talk too much, nor did she ask what value this meaning exactly had.

But she also had some of her own guesses.

Perhaps Big Sis Little Han had already detached from their level of vision from the very beginning, standing at a higher level, and using the identity of a Transcendent Witch (Lesser Witch) to interfere with the Witch Academy’s process.

From the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s game mode Big Sis Little Han initially created, iterating to the “Power Network,” now this mode had already begun to be popularized in the Witch Academy.

She had also chosen to follow Big Sis Little Han at that time, so she was very clear that the current Power Network was closely related to Big Sis Little Han, rather than simply something created by the academy’s mentors as general students thought.

Now it was Self-generating Magic Power... this was going to change the Witch Academy’s graduation process!

Because she had heard Yi Rui chat with her in the laboratory—the physical talent of Self-generating Magic Power could let people touch the abilities of the Transcendent Witch level earlier, and was very likely the prerequisite preparation for advancing to Transcendent, making advancing to Transcendent much easier!

“It’s good that you understand. Oh by the way, although Self-generating Magic Power ultimately still needs to be promoted, it is still not completely finished yet. However, for this to reach full promotion, there will still be an order of priority. Once the technique for modifying the Self-generating Magic Power physical talent is mastered by me, who comes first and who comes last will ultimately be up to my final say.”

“S-So!”

Hearing this statement of mine, Millian soon linked it to far too many things!

Everyone wanted to possess Self-generating Magic Power, but promotion naturally had a sequence, and there was even a so-called small-scale testing stage and so on.

Then if Big Sis Little Han mastered the source of this technique, wouldn’t that mean!

“Help me purify my support group. Or... don’t call it a support group anymore; it’s too much like mindless fans. What I need is a group of pure people who hold longing and passion for the Transcendent and are not tainted by the interests of families and those clubs.”

“Probably something similar to Yi Rui and the others. Not necessarily the scholar type, but people who take achieving a Transcendent Witch as their goal and are unwilling to fall into self-degradation. I won’t force them whether they follow me or not.”

“Big Sis Little Han, are you looking to find a group of like-minded people, the kind of people who will continuously climb upward as long as they are given an opportunity?”

Millian asked.

“I suppose so. Such a way of saying it is inevitably a bit too emotional, but I believe you should understand what I mean, right? Millian.”

“I understand!”

At this moment, Millian’s body instinctively trembled a bit.

She naturally understood what Big Sis Little Han meant.

Although such people were somewhat inclined toward idealism, this person she followed... She had such strength, influence, and the confidence to achieve it!

Of course... this similarly gave her a reminder.

If she still wanted to continue following Big Sis Little Han, then... she also had to become such a person!

Otherwise, she would be left behind sooner or later... Once upon a time, she merely wanted to simply do something to prove herself and resist her former fate.

But under such a general trend, she suddenly found that the goals and dreams she had used to motivate herself before were now not even worthy of matching what she was doing.

She... needed to work harder, be more motivated, and let herself undergo a transformation even more!

Once she figured this out, she suddenly found that... “advancing to a Transcendent Witch,” which wasn’t even in her options before, now seemed to have become merely a hurdle she must pass through, but she wasn’t as afraid as she had been before.

It was as if an invisible shackle in her heart silently unfastened for her...
