Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

“A shocking reversal! Heavens! Participant April actually made such a mistake at this time! Is Participant April going to be defeated by Participant Tan Han with a desperate comeback at such a critical moment!”

Accompanied by the commentator’s cry once again, Tan Han had already seized this final opportunity.

At the final moment of April’s transformation completion, she ruthlessly thrust the Wand of Absolute Cold into the opponent’s chest.

The scorching flames of the fire demon and the extremely low ice-cold of Absolute Zero occurred in a terrifying confrontation at this moment.

Endless brilliance erupted at the point of contact between the two, as if the entire match field was about to be divided into a world of ice and fire.

And in such a state, the one suffering the most was naturally Tan Han.

She not only needed to face the red flames of the fire demon transformation head-on but also had to resist the load of Absolute Zero on her body.

At this moment, she had already reached the limit of her physical body.

However, Tan Han’s opponent, April, was enduring torture on another level.

The fire demon transformation spell granted her extremely powerful fire affinity and fire-dominating abilities, but at this moment, her transformation spell was directly used by the opponent as a breakthrough point with the Wand of Absolute Cold, causing her such a heavy injury!

Initially, she had disdained the opponent’s overestimation of their own strength, but when a strike truly came from the opponent, this strike happened to enter directly into the most fragile place of the spell ritual architecture!

Clearly, it was only a bit short... after completing the transformation and having the protection of the fire demon transformation, the opponent would simply not have such an opportunity!

But there were no ifs in everything...

She could feel the transformation spell gradually losing control at a speed she could not control.

The explosive impact and the magic power converted into fire elements were madly backflowing according to the spell architecture, impacting her original body.

The loss of control of the ritual architecture forcibly interrupted her mental strength’s dominance, causing her mental strength to also suffer a heavy injury.

The harm brought by the dual backlash gradually manifested.

Even if the undying nature could allow her to bear the magic power backlash of the Super Consumption Transformation Spell, she would be powerless to seize back the initiative afterward.

However, right now, she still had a way to perish together with Tan Han, but... perishing together had no effect whatsoever, or rather, it was meaningless.

April was very clear that she had not yet welcomed the end of the match before she saw the end of her life.

Her mentor... Big Sis Chris... had come to find her.

She must be very disappointed, right?

She said she was waiting for her to become a true Transcendent Witch and then personally call her ”big sis”...

And she eventually made such a choice.

Was this the reflection she had made during this one vacation, the final answer she had given?

No matter how much April wanted to deny it at this moment, her behavior very clearly responded with the answer she least wanted to say aloud.

Accompanied by the intense elemental confrontation, this match finally drew its final full stop in this dramatic reversal and that final violent explosion sound.

And the commentator also completely let herself fly in this final moment, switching the background music played for the winner.

The spectators on-site also vented their passion as if they hadn’t had enough.

Those bursts of sound waves were like the surging heartbeat of the arena, stirring the hot blood belonging uniquely to competitors.

Was the final outcome that Tan Han and April just perished together like that?

Naturally not.

Tan Han could have used a spell to shoot out the Wand of Absolute Cold.

After all, the Wand of Absolute Cold was not a power originally mastered by Tan Han herself; it didn’t even require her own strength to maintain; activation was sufficient.

However, for a certain victory, she still chose to personally stab that final blow into April, ensuring that no uncontrollable accidents would happen at this final moment.

As for Tan Han’s reliance... it was the Blink spellbook.

Although this type of spellbook could not be compared to a spell of the level of spatial teleportation, it could still manage to pull a distance between Tan Han and the final explosion at that last moment.

As for the Magic Power at rock bottom... wasn’t there still the magic power recovery potion?

After all, this was an Unrestricted Competition.

However, recovering magic power was not something that could be directly recovered as soon as this potion was drunk; rather, it was a slow recovery.

Therefore, on the arena, saving magic power was also a skill.

What’s more, magic power recovery potions couldn’t be infinitely stacked.

April didn’t use it because her own Magic Power Sources were already enough; even if she used a Super Consumption Spellbook, it was enough for her to use it ten times!

What was the concept of ten times?

If the arena’s protective spells hadn’t blocked it, this arena would have been enough to be razed ten times!

But even if Tan Han used the Blink spell, she still received an absolute heavy injury.

After all, one of the two parties in the collision was a [Transcendent Knowledge] fragment, and the other was a Super Consumption Spellbook.

No matter which of these two’s power it was, both were enough to cover the entire arena.

Even though Tan Han reached the edge-most position, she was still impacted by the shockwave of the explosion and the elemental riot, left confused and shaken up.

Although Tan Han appeared to be lying completely on the ground on the surface, the damage of such an explosion to the internal organs of the human body was indescribable.

“In this duel challenge, both sides are heavily injured and unable to get up. Is this duel going to end in a draw in this way! After experiencing the dual backlash of magic power and mental strength, Participant April is already unable to move! Even though her body has a powerful undying nature, it cannot support the purgatory backlash of the fire demon. Our medical rescue personnel are also already on standby at the side of the field at this moment...”

“On the other hand, our Participant Tan Han, who being a second-year student does not have the support of undying nature, actually still maintains consciousness under such an impact! Let us look back at the slow-motion footage... at the final moment of the explosion, Tan Han actually used Blink to throw herself to the edge of the match field! But even so, Participant Tan Han’s injuries are still not very optimistic...”

“However, our Participant Tan Han seems to still refuse to give up. Her right hand resolutely took out from the storage equipment... um, a treatment and recovery potion! Haha, the intense battle almost made us forget that this is an Unrestricted Competition! It seems the victory or defeat of this battle has already been confirmed! Let us cheer for Tan Han’s victory once again!!!”

On the viewing stand.

“She won! This time Little Tan has truly won!”

At this moment, Ying Shiqian and the shop manager could no longer suppress their joy, sincerely cheering for Tan Han’s victory.

“It truly was a good match.”

Even Chris sighed at this moment.

She didn’t feel unhappy about being used.

After all, this was a reasonable use of the rules.

She even felt a great sense of participation and quite a bit of fun.

“Mm. So... is it now time for us to appear on stage?”

I also nodded slightly and then suggested.

If Big Sis Chris hadn’t been present at the beginning, this would indeed have been the time for me to appear.

However, judging from April’s performance, Tan Han was highly likely to have suffered a setback and eventually still needed me to spend a lot of words.

April was primarily too over-reactive and also unfamiliar with her own methods.

Even though April was a Teaching Assistant, she also had the common problem of high-grade students’ challenges, which was a stereotypical impression of spells.

And Tan Han had the augmentation of the Wand of Absolute Cold, breaking the previous routine nature of duels between spellbooks.

Perhaps until the very end, April had never thought that someone targeting a transformation spellbook would not use an equivalent method to clash head-on with her but would instead directly see through the spell architecture and ritual runes to directly cause her a lethal blow, right?

“Yeah it’s time for us to appear, and it’s time for me to end this farce.”

Chris also let out a sigh.

I don’t know if it was an illusion, but I even heard a hint of having not had enough from it.

Subsequently, with a wave of Chris’s hand, she erased the protective spells in front of the spectator stand.

Her figure jumped down from the stand, and I followed directly down as well.

There were solidified protective spells between the spectator stand and the match stage arena.

This was not only for protecting the safety of the audience but also to prevent those people whose heads were muddled by hot blood from rushing onto the stage after the match ended, causing serious interference with the on-site order.

But such protection was clearly unable to stop a Transcendent mentor.

“Thank you very much to every audience member present for the support given. This match has ended so far... eh? This spec... this mentor? Please respect the rules of the academy arena...”

“I am Chris. April is my Teaching Assistant. As her mentor, can I not come over to demand an explanation?!”

At this moment, Big Sis Chris’s aura opened up fully.

Her tone didn’t even need to be prepared before carrying a hint of indescribable anger, scaring the host so much that despite having equipment for full-field sound amplification, they didn’t dare to even breathe.

A joke—this was a Transcendent mentor!

They were just a tiny little host.

Why would they disregard their own life for the sake of the mere arena rules?

Although a mentor wouldn’t randomly target anyone, a mentor was an existence that absolutely could not be provoked in the Witch Academy!

What’s more, listen up—what were the words this witch calling herself Chris just said!

Was this a matter that a tiny little host like them could get involved in?

Accompanied by Chris revealing her identity, immediately, that group of spectators in the viewing area who were about to leave smelled the scent of gossip and fun!

Who was Mentor Chris?

In fact, many students were not very familiar with her.

After all, there were truly too many Transcendent mentors in the Witch Academy.

But she called herself April’s mentor!

And she even came to demand an explanation!

Such a development immediately attracted everyone’s attention and curiosity.

One by one, they stayed on the scene to watch a good show.

And on-site, I don’t know who started it, but subsequently, jeering erupted that was even more intense than during the match!

Moreover, within these bursts of sound, there were also meanings of taking pleasure in others’ misfortunes and watching a good show.

This kind of jeering posture made the host so fearful that they inwardly complained that this group of audience members truly didn’t know the situation!

If this mentor went berserk, the arena’s solidified protective spells couldn’t protect them!

However, on the other hand, this witch Chris didn’t seem to care, and the arena side finally let out a sigh of relief.

At this moment, no one wanted to touch the bad luck of this Transcendent Witch.

Chris jumped onto the match stage, which was already fragmented at this moment.

The air still carried a dense concentration of fire elements and frost elements.

They were constantly interacting and annihilating on the energy level, occasionally sparking a flame in the material world and occasionally swirling a wisp of snow, like flowing spray, creating irregular alien sights in reality.

Chris walked in front of April, who was almost ”lying like a corpse.”

At this moment, the personnel preparing for emergency treatment nearby saw Chris’s arrival and instinctively made a path.

Subsequently, Chris reached out her hand, and a radiance enveloped April’s body.

That April, who almost couldn’t be recognized in her original form, gradually recovered under the brilliance of the spell and similarly had some movement.

But the first image she saw when she opened her eyes... was her mentor treating her.

“Have you played enough?”

Unexpectedly, Chris asked a question like this as a greeting.

But the only thing responding to her seemed to be silence.

April lay on the ground.

Clearly, her body had already gradually recovered, but she didn’t have the courage to make herself move.

Her tears slid from the corners of her eyes, as if everything was hidden within those crystal and fragile teardrops.

The imagined punishment and scolding seemed not to arrive.

The noise on-site gradually went from the initial jeering to silence at this moment.

The audience clearly sensed the scent of fun, but for some reason, they tacitly fell silent at this moment.

As for me at this moment, I had left Chris’s side and arrived beside Tan Han.

Tan Han’s situation at this moment was similarly not optimistic; her injuries were very serious.

And I also temporarily pushed aside the emergency staff nearby.

Because I intended to use the Reincarnation Spell for Tan Han.

Of course, this didn’t require killing her and then resurrecting her; that would be very troublesome.

I had also participated in the derivative research of Metamorphic Incubation for the Witch-transformation Reconstruction Metamorphic Spell, so for the technique of using the ”Resurrection Spell” on living people, I was similarly very proficient.

Therefore, I applied this technique to the Reincarnation Spell.

And Tan Han became such a clinical subject.

This was equivalent to letting Tan Han directly skip the stage of wound healing and return to her best posture.

After all, this was just using a method and technique at the level of the ”Resurrection Spell” to repair simple wounds.

Naturally, it was a dimensionality reduction attack.

Even the emergency staff nearby widened their eyes when they saw it, unable to imagine that someone could actually master such a terrifying treatment spell!

“Little Han... that’s...”

“Oh, your opponent’s mentor. I’ll tell you the details slowly later.”

“Ah? Mentor?”

Hearing this answer, Tan Han instantly thought through many things, but she truly needed time to take a breather.

And at this moment, I once again placed my gaze on Big Sis Chris.

“Truly quite impressive, April. Is it very interesting as a Teaching Assistant to be here bullying a lower-grade student?”

Chris stepped forward and grabbed April’s back collar, lifting her up like she was lifting a little chick.

“The key is, you still lost.”

“Doing this makes me, as your mentor, lose quite a lot of face too, you know? See if I don’t give you a proper lesson when we get back. You truly don’t want this status of Teaching Assistant anymore at all, do you?”

Chris educated April, who was being held in her hand, using an extremely exaggerated tone.

Although she said it was losing her face, she even said it out loud in front of such a wide public.

For a moment, one didn’t even know if she was playing a reverse role...

“Phew all face has been lost by you. I’ll deal with you when we get back.”

Chris said ruthlessly to April.

Subsequently, she looked up toward the commentator again.

“I’ve caused quite a lot of trouble for your arena side here. I’m taking April away. You can handle the rest yourselves.”

After Chris finished speaking, she turned her head to look toward me, returned a smile that said ”are you satisfied with what you’re seeing?”, but didn’t say anything more.

Subsequently, she tore space apart and took April directly away from the arena.

And after Chris’s figure completely disappeared, the host over there tremblingly used a towel nearby to wipe the sweat from their forehead.

They didn’t forget their duty.

“There was a little accident here at the arena just now. Pl... please don’t mind, audience. This match has ended. Please exit in an orderly manner during the interval between matches, audience. After our arena completes its repairs, the next match will be even more exciting!”

“Similarly, let us once again look forward to Participant Tan Han being able to bring us more in the subsequent challenge matches...”

“Wait a moment!”

Just when the commentator hadn’t finished her final concluding remarks, my voice, with the addition of a spell, directly suppressed her voice.

“You... you should be Teaching Assistant Yang Yuehan, right? I wonder what you are going to...”

This commentator looked at me standing on the match field and asked carefully.

If it were an ordinary Teaching Assistant, she representing the face of the arena, naturally wouldn’t fear any Teaching Assistant.

After all, the arena would back her up; if a Teaching Assistant didn’t give her face, they still had to give the arena face.

But this one... she truly couldn’t afford to provoke.

Not to mention her little witch identity that everyone knew, just the fact that she appeared together with that witch Chris just now meant no one dared to say anything to her.

So she could only inquire like this.

But I wouldn’t just politely respond to them with soft words.

After all, right now I was just a Teaching Assistant with no emotions, exercising my power.

“Tan Han will not participate in any more arena matches for a period of time in the future.”

“The new semester has begun. Tan Han will enter my laboratory as an assistant to cooperate with me on the experiment for the Self-generating Magic Power project.”

“At that time... any challenge targeted at Tan Han will be regarded as a provocation against me! Bear the consequences yourself.”
