Chapter 945: Chapter 945: Spending a Fortune

Although what she had done before was not naive.

”That sentence is grammatically incorrect,” An Hao said with a smile, ”I haven’t seen you for a few days and your language skills have already deteriorated. Tell me, how come you have time to wait for me today?”

”Can’t I kindly come to pick you up from work?”

”I don’t think so,” An Hao understood Gu Shuangshuang very well, ”You’re being overly attentive for no reason; I bet you want to use my house to call Commandant Tian tonight, right?”

”Ah, my good intentions are taken for donkey liver and lungs,” Gu Shuangshuang said, holding her forehead, ”I didn’t come to call Tian Niu, I came to discuss something with you today.”

”What’s that?”

”Isn’t it that Li Zhi and the others are going to start their internships? The three of them were assigned to the military region general hospital! These two years, those three slackers have really been looked after by Teacher Yan. Before going for their internships, they want to celebrate Teacher Yan’s birthday. Coincidentally, today is Teacher Yan’s birthday,” Gu Shuangshuang said.

”I really didn’t know.” Although their homes were close, she had been at school these days, and she had no idea about Yan Ye’s birthday.

”I knew you wouldn’t know,” Gu Shuangshuang expressed her sympathy for Yan Ye, ”Among all the students, Teacher Yan treats you the best, right? Putting everything else aside, as a teacher, he definitely qualifies as a rare find. Although he is sometimes harsh and might give some bad advice, his character is beyond reproach.”

”Agreed! I’ll go with you to celebrate Teacher Yan’s birthday tonight.” And while at it, I’ll visit home too.

”That’s more like it,” Gu Shuangshuang smiled, ”Then I’ll sleep over at your place tonight and give Tian Niu a call on the side.”

”I knew it.” An Hao knew she couldn’t hide her little schemes, ”Let’s go, while we still have time, let’s find a gift for Teacher Yan at the mall.”

”Okay.”

An Hao linked arms with Gu Shuangshuang and left.

At that moment, Ruan Fangfang and Wang Jiu, who had been hiding in the shadows, emerged, ”Did you get a good look?

That girl with the ponytail is the one I want you to take care of!”

”Wait a minute!” Wang Jiu crossed his arms in front of his chest and stroked his chin, mumbling to himself, ”Why do I feel like this woman looks familiar? Where have I seen her before?”

How fresh!

He had just been let out and had already forgotten why he was locked up for half a year.

”What are you waiting for? You’ve taken the money anyway. I want you to take care of her as soon as possible. Give you three days. In these three days, come find me at the hospital, and I’ll give you the remaining one hundred and fifty bucks.” She had really gone to great lengths for her future, to remove the obstacles from her path.

Wang Jiu didn’t come cheap.

But Ruan Fangfang didn’t bargain. As long as the obstacle could be removed, she felt it was well worth it.

”Alright,” Wang Jiu agreed.

.....................

An Hao and Gu Shuangshuang took a stroll around the mall, unsure of what to buy.

In the end, the two decided to give Yan Ye a pen.

He was a doctor who often needed to sign and write things, and a pen would be of great use in his hands, so buying a pen was quite fitting.

Besides, it was fashionable to give such gifts these days.

He and Gu Shuangshuang told each other they liked each other and selected a very nice pen, a bit expensive, but it was definitely suitable for Yan Ye the professor’s status, and certainly something worthy of being
