Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 933: Chapter 933: We’re Even, Let’s Call It Quits!

Everyone watched her fall flat on her face, smashing the noodles on the floor into a complete mess.

Her new lunchbox was also nowhere to be found.

”Ruan Fangfang, are you okay?”

”Did you hurt yourself anywhere?”

”Your clothes are disgusting!”

”Why all the useless chatter? Help her up already,” Ruan Fangfang lost face in front of everyone and was furious.

A few interns hurried forward to help her up.

Ruan Fangfang pointed at An Hao’s nose and accused, ”What are you trying to do? Are you trying to get revenge on me?”

”What are you talking about?” An Hao also looked at her with a smile, ”I didn’t mean to trip you just now, I’m really sorry.”

”Sorry, I couldn’t tell at all! You obviously did it on purpose! Because I accidentally knocked off your food earlier, you were upset, so you did this.”

”Then tell me, did you do it on purpose just now?” An Hao stared into her eyes, her gaze pressing heavily between Ruan Fangfang’s brows.

”No, I apologized to you already.”

”And did I forgive you?”

”Of course! I didn’t do it on purpose, why wouldn’t you forgive me and keep holding my mistake against me?”

”Alright, let me ask you, did I apologize to you just now?” An Hao followed Ruan Fangfang’s logic, leading her step by step.

”You apologized,” Ruan Shuangshuang sensed An Hao’s intention and quickly added another sentence, ”But you still...”

”There’s no ’but.’” An Hao cut off her words, ”You spilled my noodles and apologized, I forgave you and didn’t ask for compensation. Now I’ve tripped you, and I’ve apologized to you, you should forgive me.”

”But I really hurt myself when I fell just now, look at my leg, It’s all bruised,” Ruan Fangfang rolled up her pant leg, ”Is just saying sorry enough?”

”Who said it’s over? The money for that bowl can be considered your medical expenses. We are even, no debts owed,” An Hao finished speaking and, without giving Ruan Fangfang a chance to reply, turned and walked away.

She left a mess behind for Ruan Fangfang to deal with on her own.

After An Hao left the break room, Lei Linxuan quickly caught up with her, ”You were amazing just now, I’m utterly impressed! I just wonder if they’ll give you a hard time?”

”I’m not afraid of that at all. I’ll face whatever comes my way. If she really wants to make trouble, you couldn’t stop her,” An Hao paused and said to Lei Linxuan, ”Don’t worry about me. Just do your job well.”

Lei Linxuan nodded, ”I won’t provoke them. It seems most people, although distant, aren’t out to start trouble. But that Ruan Fangfang is definitely an exception.”

Everyone was an intern in the department, with no apparent conflict of interest.

So, Lei Linxuan didn’t understand why Ruan Fangfang would deliberately pick a fight.

”That notebook was probably torn on purpose too,” An Hao was certain, ”You must have seen it, she clearly meant to knock over my food.”

”I saw it. But An Hao, have you ever thought about why she targeted you from the get-go? After all, it’s only the first day of the internship.”

”Either she doesn’t like the look of me, or it’s due to a conflict of interest,” An Hao reasoned, ”I think it might be related to Teacher Yan bringing us here.”

”Should we go and tell Teacher Yan about this?” Lei Linxuan didn’t want to spend two months learning in an environment full of chaos.
