Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 915: Chapter 915: An Uncommon Background

”How do you know him?” Qin Jian asked.

”The name sounds familiar.” Tian Niu remembered he had heard it somewhere, but couldn’t recall it at the moment, ”What’s up, Chief of Staff, why are you looking into this man’s information?”

”An Hao was kidnapped by him!” Qin Jian frowned tightly.

”What? When did this happen?” Tian Niu was shocked and quickly pressed for details.

”Just a few days ago.”

”Why? Why would he kidnap sister-in-law?” Tian Niu inquired.

”For personal reasons, I’m still not very clear about it.” The purpose of Luo Gang’s kidnapping of An Hao was also just a guess from her.

Although he had safely rescued An Hao and brought her back.

But since he wasn’t often by An Hao’s side, once An Hao returned to Nancheng City, who knew whether this man would reappear? Whether he would pose a threat to An Hao’s personal safety.

So he needed to investigate this man’s information as thoroughly as possible, what exactly was his purpose?

The aim was to prevent any potential dangers before they arise, not to let An Hao be put in danger again.

”We need to quickly determine the reason now.”

”I know, I’m already working on the investigation. I’ve crossed paths with him, this man’s skills are extraordinary! He seems to have been trained. Indeed, verification confirmed this, he was also a scout by background.”

Tian Niu lowered his head again and examined the man’s dossier carefully, the content was limited, only a few brief lines.

There really was no way to extract any useful clues from it.

The only certain thing was, he had been in the army and had participated in the China-Vietnam War.

”He also fought in the China-Vietnam War?” Those words stirred up memories in Tian Niu’s mind, ”I seem to vaguely remember, indeed, I have heard people mention him.”

”Then think harder,” Qin Jian said somewhat urgently, as he couldn’t find any useful clues on his end.

After this man had participated in the China-Vietnam War, his records became blank.

It was as if the man had vanished into thin air.

Plus, with the eight or nine years that have passed, with soldiers transferring to civilian work or retiring, along with military restructuring and downsizing,

many warrior’s records were transferred to local authorities.

Therefore, it wasn’t easy to verify detailed information about this Luo Gang.

By the time he encountered him that day, it was clear he was no longer enrolled in the army.

”I’ve remembered,” Tian Niu said, ”We used to discuss this. Before I got promoted, I heard the old soldiers talk about a guy named Luo Gang, remarkable in skill and courage, and a sharpshooter with a perfect record.”

”And then?” Qin Jian frowned, ”How have I never heard of such a well-known figure?”

”Rumor has it that he abandoned his comrades on the battlefield and fled from the front lines, which led to his dismissal from military service,” Tian Niu stated with certainty, ”The old soldiers among us were quite regretful at the time. Oh, and one was from his hometown. I heard that this person has a significant background, apparently he is the child of some leader.”

The more Qin Jian heard, the more his headache grew.

His dear wife was living her life just fine, so why were all these inexplicable people coming out of nowhere to find her?

And each one was more troublesome than the last, more thorny than the next.

”Since he’s been dismissed from military service, it’s because he’s no longer a soldier. So, whatever crimes he commits from now on should be handled by the local police authorities,” Tian Niu stated.

”I’m worried about his whereabouts, he is a very powerful man, presumably, there aren’t many people who can match him,” Qin Jian grew more and more agitated as he thought about it.
