Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 936: Chapter 936 Unruly Children

”Alright, I mention you’re out of breath as soon as I say you’re fat.” Qi Siyuan gave Cheng Nanfang a glance, ”Let’s talk about serious matters.”

”Okay.” Cheng Nanfang cleared his throat and sighed before saying to An Hao, ”We came here today to apologize to you about Cheng Yu and Cheng Yue.”

”Apologize?” An Hao was startled.

”I heard about what my daughter and son did. Those two damn fools did something to hurt you and Qin Jian’s marital relationship, and I’m very sorry. After hearing about this, we thought for several days and felt that we should apologize to you in person.” Cheng Nanfang said.

He and Ning Yibin had been very close when they were young, and given his own children’s shameful behavior, he felt it was absolutely necessary to personally visit.

He didn’t want the relationship between the two families to become strained.

After all, they had forged a revolutionary friendship on the battlefield, and he wanted to maintain this deep friendship until death.

An Hao lowered her head and did not speak.

What should she say?

Alright, she could forgive? Was she supposed to say that?

”An Hao, Uncle Cheng is talking to you,” Zhang Yun said gently to remind her when she was silent.

”What’s past is past. I won’t pursue anything further. Thank you, Uncle Cheng and Auntie, for coming to apologize! I just never expected it.” Then she paused after finishing her sentence, ”But it doesn’t mean that a simple apology will suffice! Here, I want to ask Uncle and Auntie for a guarantee that I do not want Cheng Yu to appear in my life again!”

”I give you my word,” Cheng Nanfang immediately said.

”On what basis do you guarantee?” Qi Siyuan looked at Cheng Nanfang, ”Can you only shut her mouth, or can you also tie her legs?”

Cheng Nanfang fell silent.

”They’re just kids! It’s inevitable to make mistakes on the path of love. As long as they’re properly corrected and don’t repeat the mistake, it’s alright.” Ning Yibin said.

”The child is a bit paranoid.” Qi Siyuan spoke, her eyes reddening, ”Actually, she wasn’t like this before. Ever since the bullet entered her brain, she has lived alone in a foreign land. It caused her to become like this! We only found out about this after receiving a call from Ning Ge. That very night, Nanfang beat her.”

”Was it serious? I heard that Teacher Chen won’t come back for half a year,” An Hao inquired.

”Not too bad. The bullet was pressing on the optic nerve, affecting her vision. Her body was already weak, so she needed to rest for some time.”

”Siyuan, don’t be too anxious. Let the kids handle their issues slowly. When you have time, talk to her and guide her.” Although her own child was wronged, Zhang Yun felt it was not appropriate to complain since they had come to apologize.

”I absolutely won’t let her cause any trouble again.” Cheng Nanfang assured, patting his chest.

”I believe you, Uncle,” An Hao said.

”Thank you! And there’s the matter with Cheng Yue, this kid...” Every time he brought up the two of them, Cheng Nanfang felt embarrassed.

”Cheng Yue is quite good,” An Hao explained, ”He was a bit off before. But after he knew I was married, he never bothered me again. It’s not entirely his fault.”

An Hao spoke the truth, objectively assessing Cheng Yue from the bottom of her heart.

”That’s good, that’s good,” Cheng Nanfang nodded in agreement.

Seeing Cheng Nanfang in his helpless state as a father, An Hao could never have imagined that many years later, his child would turn out to be such a worry, causing Qin Jian an awful lot of headaches.

She really didn’t know which parent’s genes were to blame.
