Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 920: Chapter 920: No Chemistry Between Each Other

An Hao went to the kitchen to boil hot water and brewed two cups of tea for her mother-in-law and Feng Yuzhi.

She greeted Feng Yuzhi and was preparing to go upstairs to rest.

But she was called back by her, ”An Hao, come over and sit! Auntie, I came specially to see you today.”

”Looking for me?”

”Yes.” Feng Yuzhi smiled and took An Hao’s hand, urging her to sit beside her, ”I heard there was a female teacher in the medical team? She studied abroad and is an expert in heart disease, right?”

”Auntie, you’re really well-informed,” An Hao said with a smile, ”Are you asking if there is anything between Teacher Yang and her?”

”Exactly!” This was indeed what Feng Yuzhi was concerned about.

”No. I don’t think there’s any spark between them.”

”What? Oh my, this boy is going to be the death of me.” Feng Yuzhi patted her chest, calming herself down, ”What is he up to? Why can’t he find one woman he likes? Such an outstanding woman is just right for them, so why doesn’t he like her?”

”You shouldn’t force Teacher Yan into anything. That woman teacher isn’t as good as you imagine; she’s not worthy of Teacher Yan.” Whenever An Hao thought of Cheng Yu’s face, she felt a chill.

”Then keep an eye out for someone suitable for your Teacher Yan,” said Feng Yuzhi.

”Ah? How could I have that ability?” The people she met, Yan Ye would meet as well.

Since when could she introduce potential partners to Yan Ye?

”Just agree with your aunt,” Zhang Yun couldn’t help laughing, ”Auntie is almost obsessed over Xiaoye’s marriage prospects. She’s had several dreams continuously, saying that Yan Ye’s partner would be brought by you.”

”Is that so? If I really had that much influence, I would certainly introduce someone to Teacher Yan,” An Hao said with a laugh.

”Alright, that’s the word I was waiting for.”

After Feng Yuzhi had finished asking about the situation, she sat for a while longer at the Ning Family’s house before leaving.

She was convinced that her dreams were prophetic!

She believed that within two years, Yan Ye would surely get married.

.........

The school semester started the next day.

An Hao couldn’t return home to see her father and An Ping, so she sent a telegram explaining her situation.

An Shuchao and An Ping quickly replied to her letter, telling her that everything was fine at home and that she shouldn’t worry but should concentrate on her studies to graduate sooner.

The course load was reduced after entering the third year.

So, An Hao had more time to spend in the laboratory.

For the entire half month, she practically lived there.

Her diligent and hardworking attitude inspired Lei Linxuan; she also spent every day following An Hao, learning in the laboratory.

The laboratory gathered the highest quality resources, and its researchers were not only researchers but also very accomplished doctors.

Therefore, An Hao made full use of these resources, absorbing knowledge with all her might.

In the more than a month since she had returned, she had been extremely busy.

In that month, Cheng Yu had been recuperating at home and hadn’t come to work.

The part of the research she was responsible for had also been put on hold.

Halfway through, Yan Ye had called Cheng Yu twice, and it seemed he might not be able to come to work for nearly half a year.

Not wanting to delay the progress, Yan Ye decided to let An Hao try to get involved with a tentative mindset.

So he waited for An Hao after her night elective class finished, meeting her outside the teaching building.

The two of them talked as they walked.

”You know about Teacher Cheng’s illness, right? He probably won’t come back to school for six months. But our project must continue. I came to you today to ask if you have the time and energy to take over the part of the research that Teacher Cheng was working on,” Yan Ye got straight to the point.
