Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1926: Chapter 1928: Make the Hen Lay Eggs

The New Year was over, and Qi Taiguo set off for Aid Africa. Cheng Su could only muster her spirits and live earnestly. With ten days remaining in the holiday, she left Qi Xiaoqi with the Cheng family and took Zhan Qin either to manage affairs at the Seafood Shop or accompanied him to organize her businesses, introducing him around as her secretary assistant while talking connections with Cheng Yaozong.

Among all her businesses in Guangcheng, there’s the Seafood Shop and also a branch of Joy Soon Loy. The main overseer here was Cheng Yaozu, but he’s mainly just a titular vice president with the real managerial role carried out by Wang Bo, who has long been stationed there as the branch manager.

Additionally, there were several plots of land she purchased. Now in the early nineties, the value of those lands under her name hasn’t just doubled but increased several-fold within a few short years.

Another was Joy Soon Loy’s factory being built in the South, which was still under construction, expected to be operational in May.

Thus, her current situation included fixed assets, but not much liquid capital. The bank loan she took to buy the land still hadn’t been cleared.

”... This money has to be cycled to create more money. Just leaving it there is like a hen that doesn’t lay eggs. To make the hen lay eggs, it needs to be set in motion.” Zhan Qin stated.

Cheng Su replied, ”I also know that. After these several days, you’re clear about the assets under my name. Though they’re valuable, this capital...” isn’t there. No, there is some, but not enough.

”So my suggestion is to set a hen in motion.” Zhan Qin said, ”I’ve analyzed the current market trend; while all-round industry expansion is prevalent, industrial growth is most promising. In fact, investing in any sector could yield returns.”

Cheng Su smiled, ”Speaking of investment, I seem to have a couple, though they’re merely small chicks for now.”

Leaving aside the restaurant, that’s her own business where she holds shares, including Little Yu’s bun shop and Ming Xiaofan’s communications company.

Both businesses seem quite small now. As for the bun shop, she wasn’t sure how far Little Yu could go, but as long as Ming Xiaofan remains clear-headed and manages well, his communications company is sure to profit greatly.

Zhan Qin glanced at her, saying, ”Leave those few alone for now. What I mean is big moves, getting the capital flowing.”

Cheng Su licked her lips, looking at the paper listing her assets, real estate.

”Let’s speculate on land!” she said, lips pursed.

War Qin’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”Are you sure?”

Cheng Su nodded, ”It’s the fastest and most effective.”

The lure of the land was indeed enormous.

”That’s not enough by itself; you must engage in real industry too,” Zhan Qin commented, ”Industry can also generate money, and it’s yours.”

”I’m planning to build a hotel on this parcel,” Cheng Su pointed to a landmark on the map, ”A five-star hotel with integrated entertainment, dining, and shopping. The issue is funds...”

”Don’t you plan to borrow more from the bank?” Zhan Qin asked, ”We have the land assets for collateral; we can definitely take out a bank loan.”

In his view, borrowing from the bank was prudent and wise, amounting to utilizing its capital for business. As for interest and principal, ha! Today’s ten thousand is an entirely different concept from future ten thousand.

But if you get ten thousand now, you could potentially create dozens, hundreds of ten thousand later!
