I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 631 - 614 Quota Allocation
Chapter 631: Chapter 614 Quota Allocation

Whether the competition was fully complete or not, everyone returned to the waiting area at the same time, and the trial ended quickly. After coming out of the rest room, they gathered in the living room on the first floor to discuss the competition.

Each person’s competition content was the same, but the scores varied—everyone’s paths were different, which was an eye-opener for Mu Ying.

The competition’s world was very similar to the social structure of Deep Blue Star before the apocalypse, so the Trialists from Deep Blue Star had a natural advantage when integrating into the competition’s world.

In the role-playing aspect, although not everyone perfectly embodied the original behavior of their characters, they didn’t lose many points.

It was the same with survival quality—most people scored quite well.

Li Luoxia also went to ask her uncle for money, but unexpectedly, she didn’t get to spend the gold. She hid it at home and simply had a falling out, claiming she urgently needed the money back, causing a few days of dispute with no results. It ended without conclusion, and she didn’t find any trace of the evil object. She only earned points for survival time, survival quality, and role-playing, making her competition experience the most uneventful and calm.

Chisima Keiko was not used to arguing like the original character and spent the one month of competition time solely on searching for the evil object. She lost two points for role-playing, earning a total of 28 points.

Vinica’s experience was similar; she didn’t ask for debts, so she didn’t find the pearls in the fish tank. Instead, she participated in a singing contest, earned a sum of money, then climbed over a firewall to post a bounty online. When the competition ended, she had just received news of the evil object but hadn’t had the chance to see it in person. She got 5 points for finding traces of the evil object, making for a total of 35 points.

Maz was even more impressive; already a master of computers, he hacked into a small country’s internal network and found some clues. His pace was faster than Vinica’s—he had found the information a week before the competition ended and managed to see the evil object before the competition was over. However, he didn’t have time to figure out how to eliminate it, got zero points for role-playing because he left home suddenly without explanation, ending up with a total of 50 points.

Draco simply cornered his uncle in a secluded place and beat him up to extort the location of the gold. When he went to look for it, like Mu Ying, he too was infested by the eyeball parasite.

He didn’t try to dig out his eyes; instead, he ruthlessly chopped off his whole hand. But the eyeball moved to his other hand. He later had a hand missing and was sent to the hospital by his parents, then captured and killed by a group of people in black; he didn’t survive until the end of the competition. He lost points in survival time, survival quality, and role-playing and ended with only 46 points.

Atom secretly installed surveillance in his uncle’s house and noticed something off halfway through the competition. He found the gold and was also infested by the eyeball.

He too dug out the eyeball like Mu Ying, but he didn’t delve deeply into the memories of the role from long ago and had no estimate of the number of eyeballs. Realizing he could only hold out for three days at most, he dug out his eyeball every three days. After doing this four times, the competition ended. He earned 2 points for eliminating the evil object, with a total score of 60 points.

He was the only one besides Mu Ying to receive a recommendation slot for Trialists.

The one with the most exciting experience was Edwin. He didn’t find the eyeball evil object in the fish tank, nor did he have the Skill to collect information about the evil object, but he scored full points in finding the evil object.

In the beginning, his actions were standard. Even though he neglected the storyline with his uncle, he kept trying to find information. However, after failing to find any information online, he started to inquire about the evil object from people around him, starting with his parents.

He found himself back in the waiting area after falling asleep the night he questioned them, with the competition having lasted just over a week. At the settlement, he only received 4 points for survival time, but he had full points for finding traces of the evil object. There was only one possibility: he was killed by the evil object, a chilling thought.

He scored a total of 49 points.

No matter how many points they scored, everyone gained a lot, considering that one point could be exchanged for ten thousand Source Power.

Chisima Keiko had initially given up on competing with Mu Ying for the Law. With 28 points in hand, she began to reconsider fighting for it.

She didn’t dare dream of the Affinity for the natural laws, but filling the Contribution for Druid Law only required 10 points. Knowing that Mu Ying would surely take control of First-level Law first, and there are several other Laws with higher priority than Druid, Keiko wasn’t content to give up even though her Affinity was nowhere near Mu Ying’s. Without the Source Power issue, she wasn’t willing to let go.

After seeing the prices of items that could improve Law Affinity in the Points Store, she knew the cost of missing out on the current Laws and seeking new ones.

She was a bit embarrassed when bringing this up, but Mu Ying didn’t mind.

The positions of the Laws are for those with the ability to hold them. She wouldn’t give way to anyone nor did she need others to make allowances for her; a fair competition was all that was needed.

After the competition ended, the Trialist slots for this century were distributed.

Every hundred years, the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial issues foundational Trialist slots based on the number of Life Planets in each Universe, one per planet.

For Multiverse, with a total of 1020 Life Planets, 1020 slots are directly allocated to the strongest non-Trialists on each planet.

Additionally, since the Multiverse ranked fifth, it received an extra 50% Trialist slot reward, totaling 510 slots.

Internal distribution within the Universe follows contribution in the competition; the top 10 contributors get an extra 3 slots, the top 100 get an extra 2 slots, and the top 200 get an extra 1 slot. Those beyond rank 100 get none.

The remaining slots are used to support new planets. For example, the five slots for Deep Blue Star include four from the Universe’s support and only one from the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial.

New planets that join the Multiverse are still considered support recipients for a thousand years. Regardless of their rank each year, they get one extra support slot.

Deep Blue Star, having just been granted two slots directly—one a foundational slot from Ten Thousand Worlds Trial and one as a support from Multiverse for new planets.

These slots are distributed based on ability, but now there isn’t a global announcement as before; only the Trialists can see them on their trial interface. Now, the number of Trialists from Deep Blue Star has reached ten.

Beyond the two slots awarded, the remaining personal recommendation slots for Trialists are not judged on ability.

The slots must be quickly allocated to rapidly generate benefits for Mother Star and build advantages.

Atom had a plan early on. He didn’t have many friends, and most of them were already Trialists, except for Xie Sen. He intended to give his slot to Xie Sen.

For Mu Ying’s three slots, besides the one for Lily, she planned to reserve one for her Guardian Elf, and the last one she intended as a reward for Druid College, to be awarded to the strongest among the first graduating class, to attract individuals with the Talent for Perception to work as Druids.
