I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 608: 591: A Long-Awaited RelaxationChapter 608: Chapter 591: A Long-Awaited Relaxation

Mu Ying was holding Xiao Gungun in her arms, with several Gem Fairies sitting on her shoulders and top of her head, and Da Ming, who had tucked in his wings, followed as they stepped onto the Transmission Array leading from Ul Camp to Qingshan City.

After a brief moment of dizziness, the familiar scent of grass and trees rushed towards her.

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting a mottled and shining pattern of light and shadow.

Mu Ying squinted her eyes and took a deep breath, her body and mind instantly relaxed, she was finally back.

Gungun twisted its body, it wanted to check on its kingdom and solidify its status as the darling of Qingshan City!

Mu Ying set it down on the ground.

It whooshed back to its original size, casually waved its paw at its master, and scampered off.

Mu Ying shook her head with a chuckle, “Such an ungrateful little thing.”

Da Ming also kept looking towards the direction of the Breeding Camp.

“Go ahead and play,” Mu Ying patted it.

“jiu~” Da Ming chirped happily and flew away.

“It’s just us now, let’s also take a stroll around the territory!”

Mu Ying transformed into a White Wolf amidst the exclamations of the Gem Fairies.

If she didn’t want to drink a Disguise Potion or cause a stir among the Local People, transforming into an animal was the most suitable option.

She leaped directly off the Transmission Platform and landed on a meadow of Asparagus Grass, rolling around to cover herself in Asparagus Flowers, then ran aimlessly through the woods.

The territory had not changed much since her departure, but it had become much livelier.

As she reached the edge of Moon Lake, she was intercepted by several chubby wolf pups, fiercely growling at her, “Awooo!”

Mu Ying looked at the wolf pups, which were shorter than her legs, and pushed them with a paw.

Wolf pups: ???

“Awooo (Brothers, attack)!”

And then Mu Ying was swarmed.

Mu Ying felt quite helpless, and sure enough, a moment later, the wolf pups began to howl in pain.

The intensity of their cries was enough to make any onlooker feel heartbroken.

Not only did they not manage to pluck a single hair from her, but they also managed to hurt their teeth instead.

As a Level 17 Druid with the protection of the Artifact of Nature Bracelet’s Guardian Armor, in her own Main Territory of Qingshan City, perhaps not even a Legend could harm her, let alone these little pups.

When nearby Sky Wolves heard the commotion, they hurried over, “Aooo—”

The wolf pups found their backup and scampered to complain, hoping the elders would knock this strange wolf down, but the elders bypassed them, ran up to the strange wolf, and started chatting.

Wolf pups: (O_o)??

They seemed to suddenly become the unloved outsiders of the Wolf Pack.

Not just them, but some of the players were also curious: “Is that White Wolf new here? Such beautiful fur!”

Seasoned players of the territory who heard looked over and immediately recognized her: “That’s the Lord’s White Wolf form, the Lord is back!”

“Is that really the Lord?” the inquiring player was astonished.

“You must be new here. All the old players from Qingshan City know that the Lord’s first animal form was the White Wolf. Although this White Wolf looks much stronger than before, if you look closely, you can see a hint of dark green in its eyes—that’s definitely the Lord.”

The veteran player looked nostalgically at the White Wolf mingling with the Wolf Pack, “The Lord used to love transforming into the White Wolf and playing around the edges of Moon Lake, especially near the Lotus Platform. After she mastered turning into a turtle, she often sunbathed there and the little turtles loved climbing on her shell!”

“That’s really special!” Such a scene could probably only be seen in Qingshan City!

————

Once back in Qingshan City, Mu Ying felt her bones relax. Once she reached the shores of Moon Lake, she could walk no further.

After chatting with the Sky Wolves for a while, she blended into the Wolf Pack and lay down on the thickest patch of grass by the lake, completely relaxing.

Perhaps she was too tired, or maybe the grass was too soft and the sunlight too comforting, but she soon began to snore softly.

Now that the puppy knew she was the Wolf Queen, they completely forgot about their earlier intentions to gang up on her, and instead gathered around, playing with her fur.

In their little heads was a great confusion: why did the fur feel so soft yet was so tough to bite?

The Shi Yin figure transformed into a mini-wolf, and scornfully shooed the little pups away before curling up on Mu Ying’s paws.

She slept until evening.

Upon waking, she felt refreshed and had fully recaptured the essence of living in the territory.

She reverted to human form, teleported to Elf Village, and followed the sounds of singing and music to find the elves gathered together.

“You’re back! Come, have a seat!” Furris and Layla made space for her.

Seeing her, the elves were not surprised, and there was no sense of a long-awaited reunion; everything was natural, as if she had been gone for just a few days rather than several years.

The singing and music didn’t stop with her arrival, but the melody did change to a livelier tune midway through.

With the cheerful music in the background, Mu Ying shared her experiences of the past few years amidst the concerned voices of the elves.

By morning, the gathering of the elves had dispersed, and Mu Ying returned to her old Plantation. She went to check on the territory’s financial status in the storage shack at the big Tree House.

As soon as she opened the door, she was almost drowned in copper coins. She hurriedly converted as many of them as possible into gold coins, which cleared up much of the space in the shack.

It seemed the financial condition of the territory had been very optimistic these past years. She opened the Player Manual to review the territory’s revenue streams.

Entry fees were no longer the main source of income for the territory, as most of the residents had become official residents and were exempt from entry fees. The main sources of income had shifted to taxes and fees from the Transmission Array.

The gold coins she had spent constructing the Transmission Array had almost all been recouped.

Yesterday, she noticed an increase in the population of the territory, and the space seemed a bit cramped. Since the financial situation was so good, Mu Ying decided to go big.

She expanded both the protective shield and the number of Tree Houses.

This expansion was a major move; the main territory’s area was now expanded to 10,000 hectares, and the number of Tree House Residences increased to 100,000.

This was almost enough for each of the Local People to rent one.

It was then that Mu Ying truly felt that Qingshan City had reached the scale of a real city, and even after upgrading to a medium-sized city, it would be sufficient for a while.

After completing the expansion, Mu Ying stood in the Plantation and began casting Plant Growth.

The lands around the territory had been neglected in the years she was away, and today was a good day to address everything in one go.

Now a level 17 Druid, her range for Plant Growth had increased by several folds, radiating out 180 kilometers from her as the center point.

This range not only covered the Main Territory but also reached the two nearby Plantations, the Breeding Camp, Quarry Camp, and even the Half-Breed and Elf Sub-camp areas, significantly exceeding the range she used to patrol in the past few years.
