I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 606 - 589 Eternal Youth
Chapter 606: Chapter 589 Eternal Youth

After the Druids started their positions, they began with the breeding and planting skill test, combined with the previous Universal Language exam, this resulted in establishing a ranking, which was then posted at the Academy Square.

The welcome party for the new teachers, along with the announcement of results and distribution of awards, was held on the same day, leaving a profound impression on the Beastman students.

The Beastmen, being a race that worships the strong, found this ranking as another boost to their morale. Fighting was not allowed in the Academy, and many of the belligerent Beastmen were frustrated. They couldn’t fight, but competing in studies was allowed!

Mu Ying was content as she saw the learning atmosphere in the Beastman Academy improving, so she delegated the teaching responsibilities to other Druids and went to rejuvenate the lands across various wastelands.

Thus, her Level Progress on the global rank list began to steadily increase again.

In a few months, she had gathered the small thousands of Professional Experience that were left, and she advanced from Level 15 to 16.

This level up not only increased her Life Value and Mana Value, but she also gained a Point of Natural Attribute, which was the last she could obtain through leveling up.

With this one Natural Attribute Point, she couldn’t breakthrough any of her attributes to 20 points to awaken attribute skills — besides Perception, her highest attributes, agility and Charm, were only at 15 points.

Therefore, Mu Ying added this point to her Perception Attribute, to at least enhance her Mana by another 10 points and strengthen the effect of her spells, along with a boost in all Perception related abilities.

Apart from this Natural Attribute Point, at Level 16, Mu Ying also acquired a passive Profession Skill: Eternal Youth.

[Eternal Youth: A Level 16 Druid will not experience attribute devaluation due to aging, nor will they age from spell effects, but Druids will still age and die eventually.]

This skill does not mean that a Level 16 Druid will remain eternally youthful and immortal.

It means that even if they enter old age, their bodies will not weaken, which is reflected by no reduction in attributes, but Druids will still age over time and eventually die.

In this world, whether belonging to long-living or short-living races, there is an endpoint to life; only the Gods who have mastered the Laws and ignited the Divine Fire may live in symbiosis with the world’s laws, becoming almost immortal.

Elves have a lifespan of 700 years, witches 300 years, and from Level 10 to just before becoming a Legend, every level will add a hundred years. Mu Ying is currently Level 16, hence has added 600 years to her life.

Calculating this, her current lifespan reaches 1600 years, which means she wouldn’t approach old age until she’s more than 900 years old while she is presently only in her twenties.

Mu Ying felt that she likely wouldn’t have the chance to enter old age and experience attribute devaluation; this skill probably would not be of use to her.

With such a long time ahead and so many opportunities on Deep Blue Star, she would definitely have become a deity by then.

A year later, Mu Ying finally managed to complete the rejuvenation of all wastelands right before the first group of students from the Beastman Academy graduated to return to their tribes.

She reached Level 17, unlocking the ninth ring spell.

However, with such rapid Experience gains over the past two years and the spells being too hard, she hadn’t yet mastered the seventh ring spell, which she unlocked at Level 13. The newly unlocked ninth ring spell and the eighth ring spell she unlocked at Level 15 had to be postponed.

Fortunately, she was soon to finish dealing with matters on the Beastmen’s side.

She rushed back to the Beastman Academy and compiled a report on the performance and awards gained by Beastmen from various tribes during the year.

At the graduation ceremony, Mu Ying announced the number of awards for each tribe and then presented them.

After a final grand banquet, preparations began for their return to the tribes.

To minimize losses during the journey, Mu Ying instructed the Beastmen trained in breeding to store their awards in the Academy’s Beast Cage, while those trained in planting dug out the perennial plants from their trial fields and temporarily housed them in wooden frames.

Then, Mu Ying collected all these items into her Small World, allowing the students to travel light. Once back in the tribes, after the pastures and fields were ready, the accompanying Druid teachers would call her using the Dingling Flower, and she would then be responsible for ”home delivery.”

By now, her possession of a large space capable of containing living beings was no secret.

Yet no one knew that her so-called large space was, in fact, a unique Small World of its own.

As the Beastmen from the tribes departed for their homeland, the other Druids also left with them to plant and restore the wasteland’s ecosystem near the students’ tribes.

With the students and teachers sent off, the Beastman Academy once again fell silent, leaving only Mu Ying and the Tiger Clan Beastmen who were meant to develop in the wastelands around the Academy, along with their teachers.

Apart from surroundings of the academy, the rest of the wasteland was merely rejuvenated once over.

The Druid teacher of the Tiger Clan Beastmen was busy planting, and the Tiger Clan Beastmen were busy building their tribe.

Among all the Beastman tribes, the Tiger Clan held the advantage, with every member attending school.

With the rewards that Mu Ying promised while rallying the Beastmen from various tribes, they acquired the most offspring; they were practically guaranteed to have freedom to eat meat upon graduation.

Their new tribal settlement was placed outside the academy, right next to it.

Although the Beastman Academy would not offer further breeding and planting courses — these would be passed down within the tribes, and the Academy would only teach Universal Language in the future —

The remaining Beast Cages and fields would be kept to support the daily food needs of future freshmen.

Therefore, the Tiger Clan Beastmen also needed to rebuild their Beast Cages and clear new fields.

However, the old Beastmen and Little Beastmen from the tribe remained at the Academy; it was only the young and strong who left to rebuild the tribe.

Most of the older Tiger Clan members intended to stay and teach, while the Little Beastmen wouldn’t have been much help outside; with some free time available, Mu Ying planned to further improve their proficiency in Universal Language.

She also found time to build a library within the Academy, placing the books she had organized that year, suitable for Beastmen, as a final gesture of goodwill towards them.

About a month and a half later, Mu Ying started receiving calls from her Druid friends through the Dingling Flower, said goodbye to the Tiger Clan Beastmen, and went to deliver goods to other Beastman tribes.

It was uncertain when they would meet again, but the Tiger Clan Beastmen deeply imprinted her image in their hearts.

Over two years, the Lord of Wisdom promised they could eat to their fill every day, and she truly made it happen — she would forever be the tribe’s benefactor!

Compared to the reluctant parting of the Tiger Clan Beastmen, Mu Ying was much happier. She rode Da Ming, urging it to travel as fast as possible, eager to deliver the goods to each tribe as swiftly as she could.
