I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 604: 587 Beastman MasterChapter 604: Chapter 587 Beastman Master

Operations like Hu Ya’s were actually not uncommon throughout the camp.

As a teacher, Mu Ying watched with pain in his heart, and knew that merely lecturing in class was not enough. The tests seemed fine on the surface, but when it came time for proper communication, there was still a barrier, most likely cultural differences!

It seemed pulling them out for real combat exercises was necessary!

The players at Wulan Camp were probably shocked.

Fortunately, they gradually realized that the Beastmen meant them no harm. Although their methods were somewhat inappropriate, their enthusiasm was still palpable, so the players were no longer terrified.

Some of the braver players even started to inquire about the Beastmen’s intentions and their relationship with Mu Ying.

So, the news that Mu Ying had started a school for the Beastmen was completely exposed and quickly leaked onto the forums.

A forum post titled “Mu Ying—Beastman Master, Lord of Wisdom?” rapidly soared in popularity.

“Who said Mu Ying went back to Qingshan City to digest his leveling gains? He’s gone to the wasteland to teach Beastmen! Location: Xia Country Region, Ul Camp. Who could have guessed that when I was surrounded by Beastmen, they actually wanted to practice speaking Universal Language and make friends with me?”

“Incredible, after the Mushroom Man, Half-Breed, mermaid, and Elf, this must be the fifth Race that Mu Ying has made friendly contact with!”

“I guess Qingshan City is about to make a big move. As we know, Beastmen are very rough, can’t even speak Universal Language, and their only advantage is their physical fitness, which makes them natural warriors. Mu Ying wouldn’t go through all this trouble to befriend them for no reason—I don’t believe it’s not for building an army.”

“Now that you mention it, it’s really possible! What does Qingshan City need an army for? Who are they preparing to fight? Who dares to provoke Qingshan City, or Mu Ying now? She’s level 15 already!”

“If I hadn’t been invited by Boss Mu to teach at the Beastman Academy and been on my way there, I would have almost believed your wild speculations. Don’t forget—we are Druids, Druids! The vast expanse of wasteland brought by the Beastmen is a huge eyesore for us! But as long as the Beastmen exist, their way of life will continue to transform the environment, creating more wasteland, which is why we need to educate them!”

“I can confirm, here in Luoxia Town, suddenly many Druids with animal companions headed to the Transmission Array. I heard that Mu Ying covered their transmission fees!”

“Do you Druids have that many team-building activities? Finished in the Northwest of Xia Country and now heading to the northern wasteland?”

“Not just us, even the Priests are having their team-building in Luoxia Town. Now I don’t dare to speak loudly when entering the area, always feeling like the whole place is filled with holy men. The eyes of the gods must be watching over here!”

...

Mu Ying also found out from the forums that the Druids had already arrived in Luoxia Town, and it had only been half a day!

After giving Dingling Flower a call, he learned they had sped up their journey so they could arrive at Luoxia Town early. Then they would take the Transmission Array to Qingshan City to rest for the night, have some fun, and head to Ul Camp tomorrow.

They had been in the Northwest for a year and a half, so it was understandable that some of them were feeling stifled after such a long time.

By noon the next day, the Beastmen, more or less, all made some money. With the items they carried, it was a piece of cake to earn the entry fee; the difficulty of this mission was not making money but the process of gathering information through communication.

Many Beastmen who made a good profit paid back Mu Ying’s money and even had some spare cash to buy interesting items from the camp.

Mu Ying had already arrived at the Transmission Array in advance. The Beastmen also gathered, forming small squads by their tribes.

As the Druids began to arrive group by group through the transmission, before they could even make out the situation outside the array, they were startled by enthusiastic cheers of “Welcome welcome~ Warmest welcome~”.

Upon closer look, they saw a group of various furry figures standing upright, waving pretty little flags, and holding lush green banners, all smiling at them.

The banner read: “Welcome to the Beastman Academy, honorable Druid teachers, to contribute to the restoration of the wasteland ecosystem!”

Mu Ying asked with a smile, “Do you like it? The students prepared this welcome ceremony on their own initiative!”

The Druids: “...”

Trust her? Yeah, right. How could such a tacky banner, which bore a striking resemblance to the wooden signs from their own farewell banquet, possibly be conceived by the Beastmen who had just learned the Universal Language?

But the Beastmen were really quite fuzzy and cute!

“Students, a bit louder, please — your teacher is a bit shy!” Mu Ying was overjoyed to see so many “labor forces,” ahem, friends.

“Let’s go, let’s go. Where is the academy? Let’s hurry on our way!” The Druids, no matter how thick-skinned, felt it’d be too embarrassing to continue performing like “monkeys” under the mixed expressions of so many players at Ul Camp.

“Haha!” Mu Ying had the Beastmen stop. “All right, the teachers can’t wait to see the school. Let’s go back!”

The Beastmen: “Yes, Lord of Wisdom!”

There were also Beastmen waving goodbye to the friends they had just made at Ul Camp that day, promising to come back and visit them after graduation.

Mu Ying led the Beastman students and Druid companions out of the camp.

On the way back, there was no need to rush, so she let Da Ming and the flying animal companions of the Druids fly together in the sky, while she alternated between riding Gungun and transforming into the White Wolf herself.

The other Druids displayed their wonders: those who could use their animal companions as mounts rode them; those whose companions couldn’t withstand the run certainly learned a Wild Form specialized in traveling, and there were even some who carried their animal companions on their backs as they ran.

The players of Ul Camp were fortunate to witness the sight of a group of fuzzy figures dashing across the wilderness, and they were deeply shocked.

“Is this what Druids who often choose not to be human look like?”

“They blend in with the Beastmen so seamlessly!”

“Do you think a Forest Patrol could possibly take on a Druid as a companion?”

“Brother, you’ve got quite the idea there. You mean a companion like those of the animal companions?”

...

Three days later, Mu Ying returned to the Beastman Academy with her team.

The Druids, looking at the academy which had already taken significant shape, with green belts and trees as tall as a person, asked Mu Ying in amazement, “Did you build all this by yourself?”

Even though she was level 15, even though she had the Stone Wall Skill, which was a boon for construction, the scope of the project still seemed immense!

She had only arrived in the wilderness a little over half a year before them.

Mu Ying lifted her chin proudly: “Indeed!”

The Druids thought to themselves, no wonder she was so eager to call them over. Doing so much work by herself must have been exhausting!

Mu Ying let the students have free time, and she took the Druids on a tour of the academy.

“Now that we have a Beast Cage and experimental fields, the academy is basically self-sufficient in terms of food. If you’re interested, you can also fence off a piece of land to cultivate,” she said.
