Chapter 624 - 607: The Championship Battle 1
Chapter 624: Chapter 607: The Championship Battle 1

A year flew by, and the eight Trialists from Deep Blue Star gathered at Tree House 888, entering the arena for the championship competition from their respective rest rooms.

”Welcome to the Universe Championship of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial. This edition’s trial arena will be a solo Trial World. All contestants will enter the same simulated Trial World. Please note that all your actions in the Trial World will determine your final score. The Points Store for the championship is now open, where points can be used to exchange for corresponding items.”

After Mu Ying entered the championship arena, she found herself lingering in a small, fog-filled space, all by herself.

The text emerging from the white mist in front of her indicated that this place was the waiting area.

To ensure fairness in the competition, all Trialists begin their trials at the same time. Those who arrive early must wait in this area until the competition deadline.

From the provided information, Mu Ying could only ascertain that this trial would be held in a solo Trial World; no other details were discernible.

Mu Ying, driven by curiosity, took a glance at the Points Store.

Indeed, it was a dazzling array with everything one could imagine.

This Points Store, which Mu Ying had heard about while inquiring about the championship, truly lived up to its reputation—seeing is believing.

Bloodlines, pathways for Cultivation, treasures of heaven and earth, and even vouchers to restart the initial Trial World—the Source Power was the most commonplace item here, with a mere point exchanging for ten thousand Source Power.

The Points Store opens during every championship, and the points are always based on a hundred-point scale. This means that the maximum personal points one can earn from each competition is 100.

However, in the Points Store, there are items worth several hundred, a thousand, and even tens of thousands of points.

That’s because the points earned in the championship are cumulative, and every time the Points Store opens during the championship, they can be exchanged.

In addition to these items that require points to exchange, each championship also distributes rewards based on the total points level of an individual Trialist and the corresponding Universe and Mother Star Trialists, directly awarded.

This reward includes Source Power directly allocated to the respective Universe and Star, Trialist quotas, and recommendation slots for Trialists who rank in the top 1% of individual points.

There is also a special reward from the founders of the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial for the top three Trialists in individual points standings.

Even Mu Ying, who usually doesn’t have a strong desire to shop, couldn’t help but want to ’buy, buy, buy’ upon seeing the Points Store.

No one could feel indifferent about the championship after seeing the Points Store and the various rewards available. Previously, Mu Ying only considered the championship a means to earn Source Power and Trialist spots for her Mother Star as a way to give back, but now she understood it was also about striving for herself.

Unfortunately, she had zero points. No matter how desirable the items were, they were simply there to be looked at. Mu Ying was all the more eager for the championship to begin.

For her first competition, she had no illusions of running up against those who had participated dozens or hundreds of times.

While each planet’s Trialists are not numerous, the total number of contestants is still an extremely large figure.

Already, the number of contestants registered in the waiting area was in the tens of thousands and growing at an alarming rate.

Even though everyone starts the race with the same identity and at the same starting line, Mu Ying didn’t consider herself stronger than others. After all, the more times one participates, the longer they live, and the wider their life experience becomes; even the most foolish person would become shrewd after living so long.

Mu Ying simply hoped to earn as many points as possible with her best effort.

The waiting time was agonizing, but when the actual competition began, Mu Ying calmed down.

When she regained consciousness, she was lying in bed, the first thing she saw being the snow-white ceiling with its delicate cracks, and in the corner, a flattened spider and a drifting cobweb.

For a moment, she thought she had returned to the orphanage before the apocalypse.

After integrating the memory of this trial character, Mu Ying’s expression became subtle, uncertain if her previous ”Blessing Magic” had taken effect or not.

The societal structure of this trial world was extremely similar to Deep Blue Star or, to say, Blue Star.

In this world where science prevailed, there were no avenues for Cultivation. The memories of the character in her mind were practically the template of a college student returning to a rural village for the New Year holiday.

At this moment, not only was her body devoid of any special Strength, but it also carried a lingering sense of fatigue from staying up late the night before—a true and down-to-earth feeling.

All of this was all too familiar to Mu Ying.

However, the core task of this competition—finding and eliminating the evil object—was quite perplexing.

Evil object? Rummaging through the memories of her character’s past twenty-plus years, Mu Ying found no trace of anything unscientific, let alone an evil object.

But the core objective only represents the focus of scoring; excelling in tasks related to it makes it easier to score high points, but it’s not necessary to complete this particular task to earn points.

Since Mu Ying found no clues in her memories, she halted that line of thought for the time being and decided to integrate into this world first, using her character’s information to find further clues.

Only by first fitting into this character’s role and blending in, could she safely remain here under this identity. This was fundamental.

Given that there was no whisper of the evil object in the character’s memories, it indicated that in this world, the evil object did not manifest openly or was publicly known.

There were two possible scenarios. One is that ordinary folks are kept in the dark, and the seemingly peaceful society is just a facade—hidden beneath are those who carry the weight on their shoulders. In such a case, there must be more than a few evil objects.

The other possibility is that evil objects are indeed rare and haven’t yet impacted society significantly, or they have yet to do so—there might even be just one.

Whichever the case, it would be easier and more convenient to gather information after raising the character’s social status or wealth.

However, the championship only lasts for one month. In such a brief period, Mu Ying doubted whether others could achieve a societal leap with the identity of a university student from a rural area—she certainly couldn’t.

Since she couldn’t accomplish anything substantial with the character’s own achievements or garner more social resources for the task within a month, she would have to make the most of the character’s inherent memories and social relationships to complete the mission—hence, integrating into the character was of utmost importance.

This character was also named Mu Ying. She was a female college student from a rural background, who had returned home for the summer vacation from school.

Although from a rural area, her family wasn’t particularly poor. Especially in recent years, her family had started a farming inn, which, while not overly booming, was steadily profitable and considered to be in decent economic standing in the village.

While sharing her name, the character’s personality was entirely different.

From the memories, this character was quite forthright and competent, dressing androgynously with short hair.

Mu Ying carefully pondered this and deepened her impression.
