I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 617 - 600 Demigod
Chapter 617: Chapter 600 Demigod

Mu Ying, as usual when leveling up, lay on the grass in the Plantation, closed her eyes, and began communicating with nature.

This time, the aura of natural power surrounding her was richer than ever, a blend of vitality and inclusiveness that emitted an aura of indomitability.

Days turned to nights, and seasons changed, the person lying on the grass gradually got covered by wildly growing plants. Whether the sun shone brightly, or rain and snow fell, none disturbed her.

When the time of revival for all living things came again a year later, the figure amidst the grass finally slowly opened her eyes.

[You have undergone a contemplation of the natural laws, and your Law Control has increased to 30%.]

[As one of your Law Controls exceeded zero, you have been automatically upgraded to a 19th level Demigod Druid.]

[Based on your Druid Level, your Life Value has increased to 1550.]

[Based on your Druid Level, your Mana Value has increased to 300.]

[Based on your control over natural laws, the effects of your Druid profession skills and spells have been improved to a certain extent.]

Her blue eyes gazed through the gaps in the grass at the brilliant blue sky, showing a trace of confusion.

Recalling the process of interacting with the natural laws, she felt as if she had become part of nature itself, witnessing the birth, flourishing, and decay of countless plants and creatures, immersing herself deeply into it.

Waking up from that state now, she felt disoriented, as if she did not know what era it was.

Looking at the Player Manual, she had actually managed to raise her control over the natural laws to 30%, making her control as high as her Contribution and transforming her into a demigod.

However, from Mu Ying’s personal experience, she felt that the difference between a legend and a demigod wasn’t so vast.

Although becoming a demigod symbolized the start of interacting with the laws, without igniting the Divine Fire and ascending to a Divine Position to become a true controller of the corresponding laws, one couldn’t truly drive the laws.

That bit of control only allowed her to be closer to the corresponding laws, and if she had abilities related to the laws, their effects would be slightly enhanced.

She had no idea how long her retreat had lasted.

Looking at the vegetation surrounding her, a scene full of the vibrancy of spring, she remembered that it was deep autumn when she began her retreat. She must have been secluded for several months at least.

She stood up, brushing off the twigs and dry leaves on her, and the grass and plants in front of her automatically cleared a path for her.

The sound of her clothes brushing against the leaves startled the Silver Wolf waiting outside. His ears perked up, looking her way.

Seeing the person emerging from the bushes, Silver Wolf instantly transformed into a human form, his silver hair slightly touched by the wind, his eyes filled with joy: ”Ying!”

Mu Ying smiled and waved at him, quickly walking over to his side: ”Silver, how long was I in retreat?”

”Three years and four months and five days,” Shi Yin said.

”What? Three years?” Mu Ying thought she had heard wrong.

Seeing Shi Yin nod, Mu Ying was stupefied; a single contemplation had passed so much time.

She flipped to the trial page in the Player Manual and saw that 3650 hours of trial time had already been stored.

It was fortunate that she had set up an automatic purchase of 2 hours of paid trial time daily, or she did not know how much trial time would have been wasted.

The perception of time was weak during the process of contemplating the laws, and she could hardly take control of the contemplation time actively. It was only when her Contribution was insufficient, and the laws actively expelled her, that she woke up from the contemplation, accidentally having spent over three years in seclusion.

It seemed next time she shouldn’t save up too much Contribution at once. Save a bit, then raise the control level; too long a period of seclusion could be quite dangerous.

Fortunately, she was in the Plantation of her territory, protected by the Territory Shield, with Shi Yin by her side.

Had more than three years been enough time for too many things to happen? She had upgraded from a Level 1 Druid to a Level 10 Druid in just that span of time.

”Shi Yin, have there been any serious issues in the territory over these years?” Mu Ying asked anxiously.

Shi Yin shook his head, ”The territory is doing well, everything is following the development plan you approved earlier.”

Mu Ying breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, maybe because she had left the management to others so many times, the employees had gotten used to it.

The management style of the territory was very free. Everyone had their own responsibilities and managed their own parts well, with the person in charge also sharing in the profits, which greatly motivated them.

As long as there were no problems in the territory, she was relieved.

She then turned to the forum interface, wanting to see the situation of other players. Three years had passed, players like Li Luoxia and Draco must have reached the Legend rank by now, right?

But she searched left and right and couldn’t find the forum interface. ”Strange, where has the World Forum gone?”

”The World Forum was closed when you started your secluded cultivation,” Shi Yin said.

Upon hearing this, Mu Ying went forward to look through the adventure record and indeed, she saw a notification.

[A native player has touched upon the Law. To minimize the risk of malicious competition on the Path to God, the World Forum page is officially closed.]

Wow, the closure of the World Forum was actually her fault!

Now that the World Forum was gone, she could no longer see the global rankings and regional rankings either.

It had to be said, the Evolution Center had thought of everything.

In the past, opening the World Forum and global rankings allowed everyone to understand the levels of other players, encouraging everyone to improve, and at that time there wasn’t much competition between them.

Once someone started to engage with the Law and was preparing to ascend to godhood, it was convenient to close the Forum to facilitate information dissemination and synchronize the professional level rankings of players.

Because the moment one touched the Law and began preparing for godhood, the competition between them became very apparent.

Each position of the Law is unique; if one is taken, the newcomers could only choose other paths.

If the professional level information was still synchronized and published on the forum, it might induce some people to decrease their competitors to enhance their own competitive edge.

Malignant competition among ordinary players is one thing; it wouldn’t matter much to the entire world.

If a Trialist were to die because of this, it would be a significant loss for the planet. After all, once a person is gone, the spot they occupied would not return, effectively reducing the number of people earning Source Power for the Mother Star.

Thus, the Path to God is a very secretive thing for every player; unless there’s enough certainty, it’s best to keep it hidden.

With the World Forum gone, Mu Ying could only look for news on the Territory Internal Network.

Luckily, as a Lord, she could access the Local People’s data from the backend. If the Local People were within the territory, their information would be updated synchronously.

Looking up, she saw that Vinica, Draco, and Atom were all within the territory, and they were all at the Legendary Rank too.

They had advanced to Legend rank inside Qingshan City about half a year ago.

Their current coordinates... were all in Tree House No. 888? And they hadn’t moved for months!

What else did Mu Ying need to understand? They must also be engaging with the Law, advancing to Demigod.

Thinking back to her own first encounter with the Law, who hadn’t managed the time well, she wondered how long it would take for them to wake up.

If those few were advancing to Demigod, then Li Luoxia and Maz must also be at a similar stage. If the Affinity with the first-encountered Law was high and the Contribution was relatively low, they might even become Demigods before her.
