I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 616 - 599: Choice
Chapter 616: Chapter 599: Choice

Ultimately, Mu Ying felt that she needed to be as ambitious as possible in garnering the Laws into her hands, and also be prepared for the issue of time. She had to prioritize these five paths and start planning early.

Among the five Laws, Natural and Destiny, the two Level 1 Laws, are the most powerful.

Among them, the Natural Law had the highest Affinity with her, and also the highest current Contribution, making it the Law she was most confident in securing.

The Natural Law would necessarily be of prime importance among the five Laws.

Although the Destiny Law was powerful, her Affinity with the Destiny Law was only 50%. This meant that even if she allocated enough Contribution Points to this Law, she might still be unable to control it due to the low Affinity.

However, since the Destiny Law appeared on her Path to God page, it indicated that she indeed had a Talent for it.

It wasn’t impossible to increase her Affinity with the Destiny Law; she could currently think of two methods.

One was the Eight-colored Fruit in the Emerald World that could enhance her Witch Bloodline.

She could consume the green type of the Eight-colored Fruit. After enhancing her Bloodline, her talents in Natural, Curse, and Blessing Magic would certainly improve. Her talent in Natural Magic could boost her Affinity with the Natural Law, and if she guessed correctly, her talents in Curse and Blessing Magic should help with her Affinity towards the Destiny Law. Moreover, the Witch Bloodline itself would aid in her Affinity with the Witch Law.

The other was her Divine Body and Divine Soul in the World of Gods.

In the World of Gods, the Divine Race’s Talents included water, earth, wood, and destiny, which are all fundamental elements of the Natural Law. When her Divine Power in the World of Gods began to decline and she was on the path to decay, she could transform her Divine Body and Divine Soul, which would also surely increase her Affinity with both Natural and Destiny Laws.

As long as she could transform the Eight-colored Fruit and Divine Body and Soul from the World of Gods, boosting her Affinity with the Destiny Law later on wouldn’t pose an issue.

A Level 1 Law was more powerful than several Second-level Laws combined.

Since she had such reserves, she also had confidence in the Destiny Law being the second most important Law.

With these two Laws as a foundation, she also ranked the remaining three Laws in terms of advantages and drawbacks.

Mu Ying guessed that her Affinity with the Druid Law might also be influenced by her Affinity with the Natural Law, suggesting room for improvement.

In terms of Contribution, she also had an advantage. Apart from using assignable Contribution Points, she had initially thought of taking up the responsibility of inheriting the Druid Profession on Deep Blue Star, which would definitely aid her Contribution towards the Druid Law.

Moreover, as Druid was a fairly comprehensive power system and had a foundation on Deep Blue Star, it should be considered decent among the Professional Laws. However, similarly, if she delayed igniting the Divine Fire to accumulate more Laws, there was a possibility that newcomers might take her place, making it a Law that was easier to be seized by others.

As for the Witch Law, being the only witch on Deep Blue Star meant that as long as she didn’t sell her transformed Witch Bloodline to others for integration, she could securely hold her position in this Law. However, similarly, since it had little foundation on Deep Blue Star, this Law was likely weaker. To become a god through this path, her Divine Power might be weak among the Weak Divine Powers, unless she devoted herself to expanding the team of witches to potentially enhance her strength.

Speaking of the Elf Law, she now also belonged to the Elf Clan of Deep Blue Star, being the elf with the highest Talent and the strongest bloodline power—indeed, she was a strong contender. Given the nature of elves, the rest probably didn’t have the capability or the ambition to surpass her, especially since the remaining elves of Deep Blue Star were all her Guardian Elves. However, she didn’t have other means to enhance her affinity with the Elf Law either. Her personal influence remained largely derived from human society, and her use of her own Elf Bloodline was not quite adequate.

Mu Ying looked and looked, and finally ranked the Witch Law third, the Druid Law fourth, and the Elf Law last.

Although the Witch Law was weak, with both the natural laws and the Law of Destiny already in her hands, it was the easiest to obtain, and there were no competitors either.

Being First-level Laws, both the natural laws and the Law of Destiny also consumed high Contribution Points. Since she had placed these two first and second, it would be very difficult for newcomers to surpass her in these laws.

Among the current trialists of Deep Blue Star, Mu Ying saw no strong competitors for these two laws. Anyone with such affinity and talent would first have to become a trialist and then earn Source Power through trials before having a chance to control these laws.

In this way, if she were to max out her control over the natural laws and the Law of Destiny, obtaining the Witch Law would naturally follow.

The Druid and Elf Laws behind her would be the ones most likely to be taken by others if she dragged out the process of becoming a god too long, with the Druid Law even more likely to be seized than the Elf Law.

But if she managed to secure the first three laws, and these two were taken by other Druids or Elves, it wouldn’t be a loss for her either.

The Druid Law depended on the natural laws. Even if she wasn’t the Druid God, as long as she was the God of Nature, there was an absolute possibility that the Druid God would be her ally.

The Elf Law was a bloodline-based law that only elves could control. Since the elves of Deep Blue Star were all her Guardian Elves—her own people—no matter who became the Elf God of Deep Blue Star, it would benefit her.

With this order set, the plan would be to secure the natural laws as a foundation and then strive to master the Law of Destiny. Once the natural laws and the Law of Destiny were in hand, the Witch Law would come with nearly no pressure.

After these three laws, if she still had energy, she could contend for the fourth law, the Druid Law. It would be great if she could secure it, but it wouldn’t matter if she couldn’t.

As for the Elf Law, whether or not she could secure it wasn’t very important to her. Even if she didn’t secure it, it wouldn’t benefit others in the end. Having her own elves hold it, leaving herself a God of the same race and a natural ally, wasn’t a bad deal.

Bearing the identity of the daughter of the great Lord Correlon, even if she became a god, she had support in place; no elf would defy Lord Correlon, who created them, unless one renounced their Elf Bloodline and became corrupt. However, once corrupt, the Elf Law would slip from their control.

Having established the priority order, Mu Ying’s plans became clearer.

She wasn’t in a hurry to use her assignable Contribution Points now. Her contribution to the natural laws was already at 30%, but her control was still zero. She would wait until her control matched her contribution level and she couldn’t comprehend anymore before using the assignable Contribution Points to increase it further, thus minimizing the risk of wasting Contribution Points.

There was already a prompt under the Profession Level section, stating that as soon as the control of any Law surpassed 1%, she could immediately rise to Demigod. Now, she was ready to try.

Unsure of how much time the first perception would take, Mu Ying specifically informed Shi Yin before starting her seclusion to perceive the natural laws.
