I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 90 - 90 89 Gantiya90: Chapter 89 Gantiya 90: Chapter 89 Gantiya That day, Mu Ying, after eating a medium-rare lamb chop, went to the creek to groom her snow-white fur with her paws, followed by a line of eight little wolf cubs.

Since she had transformed into a wolf, not only was she learning from the Wolf Pack, but the Wolf Pack was also learning from her.

She used a Firestone to start a fire for cooking meat.

Initially, the other wolves were frightened of fire, but they eventually got used to it and even started throwing their meat into the fire to cook it together.

They weren’t afraid of charring it.

Usually, after burning off the prickly hair, they would pull the meat out.

At that time, there would be the aroma of roasted meat, yet it wasn’t completely cooked through, which perfectly suited the wolves’ taste.

Previously, Mu Ying only liked her steak well-done, but in her wolf form, she had grown quite fond of the taste of blood, finding the medium-rare delicious.

Additionally, since Mu Ying’s wolf fur was snow-white, although beautiful, it got dirty easily.

Maintaining her wolf form, she had to groom her fur three times a day.

Having surpassed Da Hui and becoming the new favorite of the wolf cubs, who spent their days frolicking in the dirt, they too began to pay more attention to cleanliness under her influence.

A row of one big and eight small wolves lined up, lying by the water’s edge, dipping their paws in the water, slowly straightening out their fur.

Then, they would move to the sunniest, lushest part of the grass to lazily sunbathe and take a nap in the afternoon.

As a wolf, there was no worry about getting sunburned, and it was simply too comfortable.

In the afternoon, they would roam around the nearby woods.

Mu Ying felt that being a wolf was much more comfortable than being a human, especially since the Wolf Pack was consciously practicing sustainable development.

With their periodic hunting schedule, there was no worry about food.

Today they ate lamb, tomorrow rabbits, the day after cows, always targeting the old and weak first.

In the Dead Forest, the seeds she had sprinkled were sprouting.

Although some hadn’t survived, the ones that did would eventually form a dense forest.

She walked slowly among the saplings, treading lightly without disturbing any of them, a walking skill she had learned from the Wolf Pack.

“How come so many of these saplings have died?”

Mu Ying tilted her head puzzlingly.

Although other areas also had dead saplings, they weren’t clustered together like this.

Out of more than ten saplings here, only one survived.

She felt something was off as she fiddled with the dead saplings.

Standing up, Mu Ying transformed back into human form.

She used the Eye of Nature to closely examine this small piece of land.

The dead saplings were truly dead, devoid of any natural power, while the only surviving sapling seemed healthy to the naked eye.

However, her Eye of Nature saw no flow of natural power in it but rather a black energy swirling around it.

The feeling was nauseating and repulsive.

“Nauseating, repulsive?”

Mu Ying was momentarily puzzled but quickly realized.

This repulsive feeling was likely due to the influence of the Eye of Nature.

Rather than her own disgust, it was her eyes telling her that nature despised this thing.

She stepped back several paces, the Balance Scythe appearing in her hand, ready to be used.

“Gantiya Demon Tree Seedling, an evil plant formed after being infused with Gantiya’s Blood Essence.

It spreads dark plague eroding natural power for growth, bears Withered Monster Seeds, has strong Life Force, a single root can sprout again, difficult to kill by ordinary means...”

From the results of her detection, it was indeed nothing good.

The previous Dead Forest was probably caused by this sapling!

Mu Ying hesitated no more; she decided to test the power of the Balance Scythe on it.

Using the massive scythe to chop a sapling not even as thick as a finger seemed like overkill, but when it actually hit the sapling, it proved to be quite exceptional.

The sapling seemed to have its life force instantly drawn out, rapidly withering just like the plants it had once blighted.

Yet the sapling remained upright, its dry branches weeping a drop of bright red blood.

Viewing it through the Eye of Nature, the detestable black aura had vanished, it seemed that the Balance Scythe was indeed the bane of these matters.

[You purified the Gantiya Demon Tree Seedling, gained Professional Experience x50, completely dead Gantiya Demon Tree Seedling x1, Vampire Blood Essence x1, weakly active roots x1]

From the Professional Experience gained, one could see the formidable nature of the Gantiya Demon Tree, although Mu Ying seemed to have handled it effortlessly, those unaware without the Balance Scythe could probably not kill it outright.

After all, the magic tree had survived the great fire before, and even sprouted again without her noticing.

If she hadn’t thought of replanting this area with trees, she likely wouldn’t have noticed anything unusual.

Mu Ying, following the adventure record’s hints, collected the red blood beads in a glass bottle and then dug out the entire sapling completely intact, finally finding a section of root with faint natural power in the root system.

This kind of droppable mentioned in the adventure record could be examined using the Item Identification function.

[Completely dead Gantiya Demon Tree Seedling: A Druid who abandons nature can use this to transform into a Withered, gaining strength by destroying trees]

[Vampire Blood Essence: Absorbing this blood essence can transform one into a vampire]

[Weakly active roots: The roots split from the original Gantiya Demon Tree, now purified to their most primitive state]

“So, is this essentially materials for transforming into a Withered, vampire bloodline materials, and a root with an unknown use?”

Even Mu Ying didn’t expect such an unassuming, dry tree and the blood seeping from it to have such effects.

In an online game, this would be the stuff of hidden professions and rare races!

After a brief surge of excitement, Mu Ying calmed down, fully aware that the so-called Doomsday, despite being cloaked in a veneer of gaming, was a stark reality.

The Withered, who abandon nature and gain strength through the destruction of trees, sounded like no reputable profession, villainous to its core, and certainly anathema in the eyes of nature.

Although the profession requirements of the Withered were more stringent than those of a Druid and relatively rare, reality differed from online games; the rareness wasn’t necessarily better.

Instead, professions with a wider spread system typically have more people joining them, and they stand up to scrutiny better.

Her mind must have rusted for her to forsake a good path and wade through such a difficult river.

Thus, this completely dead Gantiya Demon Tree Seedling was of no use to her, and she could not let such a thing spread, considering Withered were obviously Druids’ natural enemies.

As for the Vampire Bloodline Essence, although she didn’t know if this vampire had any relation to the vampires she was aware of, considering the information detected from the Gantiya Demon Tree, vampires weren’t exactly a race that nature would favor.

After all, the Gantiya Demon Tree was born because it had been infected with the Vampire Gantiya’s Blood Essence.

Mu Ying now possessed two bloodlines, both leaning towards nature-loving long-living races, so the vampire bloodline might be a poor match for her.

Of course, even if it were a good match, she wouldn’t want to become a creature that feared the sun, no matter how powerful.

Ever since mastering the Wolf Transformation, she had fallen in love with basking in the sun.
