I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 88 - 88 87 Eye of Nature88: Chapter 87 Eye of Nature 88: Chapter 87 Eye of Nature From a microscopic perspective, the things she had done before in her cultivation were beneficial to the plants that received the benefits.

But from a macroscopic perspective, it seemed to mean little to nature as a whole.

All trees are nature, all plants are nature, and all animals are also nature; nature is not any individual flower or grass, but every flower and blade of grass is part of nature.

“I understand now!”

Mu Ying felt a sudden enlightenment; her previous understanding of nature had been too narrow.

Plants are only the most representative manifestation of nature, but they are not all there is to it; any organism, even climate and matter, could be considered parts of nature.

Nature is actually the foundation from which all things sprout and the cradle that nurtures life!

That’s why the natural power is always so vibrant and full of life.

From a scientific point of view, nature is a combination of organisms, life systems, and environments: ecology.

What Druids need to protect is not an individual plant but the ecological environment; that is the foundation of nature.

However, within the ecological environment, plants, especially trees, hold a very important status, which is why the natural power is so apparent within them.

The survival of the fittest among organisms is just a part of the life system, and she herself is part of it; thus, she has the freedom to make choices based on her own likes and dislikes.

Whether it’s removing Dodder to save trees, or watching a Wolf Pack eat sheep, she is part of the natural selection process, and whichever choice she makes has little impact on nature.

Nature has a preference for plants, especially trees, which is why she received Experience rewards when she saved trees and killed Dodder.

She can intervene in the struggle between trees and Dodder because she likes trees, but she doesn’t have to do it for professional cultivation or to assist nature.

Compared to saving a naturally dying tree, planting more trees, removing poisonous tumors like Withered Monsters, or preventing actions that destroy the natural environment are more beneficial to nature.

For survival and living, cutting down a few trees or hunting a few animals isn’t considered destruction of the natural environment, but large-scale deforestation and overhunting will indeed harm nature.

Everything is in a balance; those who destroy the natural balance are the targets of Druids’ eradication, and such eradication is also part of the Druid’s cultivation, like the Withered Monsters that spread the dark plague and destroy vegetation.

Mu Ying felt a gentle strength flow into her eyes, and her vision seemed to have changed again.

However, at this moment, she had no time to think further, as her Natural Bracelet on her wrist was also acting up, and a giant black scythe, taller than her, manifested.

Despite the scythe’s size, it felt as light as nothing in her hand, as if it were an extension of her arm.

She checked the item information of the Natural Bracelet again.

[Natural Bracelet]

[Quality: Orange Myth]

[Effect 1: Recovery Spring]

[Effect 2: Feedback Claw]

[Effect 3: Balance Scythe: As a guardian devoted to maintaining the balance of nature, you can summon the Natural Scythe to exterminate all beings that violate the balance of nature.

This scythe has great lethality only against those who disrupt the balance of nature]

[Note: Mythical Equipment that has not yet revealed its full might, it can only be wielded by its recognized Master]

Indeed, another new effect had been unlocked.

The Balance Scythe looked imposing and awe-inspiring but could only be used against those who violated the natural balance.

She tried slashing at a clump of grass, and the scythe passed through it without causing any harm.

It seemed that it wouldn’t be of much use ordinarily; she didn’t have a suitable target to test the extent of the so-called great lethality, so she had to set it aside for now.

With a thought, the Giant Scythe returned to the Natural Bracelet, and Mu Ying flipped through the Player Manual, looking up her adventure record.

Her eyes seemed different somehow, her vision had apparently leaped significantly higher, and when she focused for a while, the natural power in her field of vision became crystal clear.

[Your deeper understanding of nature has attracted its attention.

Your skill ‘natural sense’ has upgraded to ‘Eye of Nature,’ and you’ve gained 100 Professional Experience]

The skill upgraded?

Mu Ying looked at the attribute panel, and sure enough, the Skill ‘natural sense’ had been replaced with ‘Eye of Nature.’

[Eye of Nature: Nature bestows its Favored with the Eye of Nature, allowing them to see where it resides, love what it loves, and dislike what it dislikes]

“Favored, huh?” Mu Ying pondered over these words as if she heard the sound “Nature Favorability +80.”

Though the description was a bit hazy, Mu Ying understood the meaning of the Eye of Nature by combining it with the changes in her eyes.

Seeing where nature resides meant she could observe the forces of nature with her eyes, while loving what it loves and disliking what it dislikes meant she could identify with her eyes the objects nature favored or disfavored.

She adjusted to her new vision, and sure enough, she could now see the pathways of the natural power within the trees clearly without affecting her normal vision.

She could even use her gaze to influence the flow of this natural power, even more smoothly than when under the natural sense state.

It was as if natural sense and natural vision had merged into her eyes.

Even on Da Hui and the others, there was the presence of nature, something she couldn’t see before with natural sense.

Only, the natural power on their bodies was not only less than any random large tree, but it was also faint, unlike the trees’ rich and stable presence.

The feeling was like the former was a wild grass grown from a casual blessing of nature, while the latter was a flower carefully nurtured by nature—indeed, animals did not compare to plants!

Out of curiosity, she pulled out a small mirror and focused on the natural power around her body.

A rich and vibrant green enveloped her, as if it couldn’t wait to wrap her into a cocoon.

This eerie metaphor...

Mu Ying shook her head, and her vision returned to normal.

She should be quite attractive to nature now, right?

The thickness of the natural power around her was even stronger than that of the old peach tree she had encountered before.

For a Divine Art Practitioner to receive the favor of their deity was undoubtedly a great thing.

She tried to cast a level 2 magic, and the Spell Casting Speed was much faster.

It was as if earlier, when messaging nature to borrow some strength, nature would take a while to reply, whereas now it was almost instantaneous!

Mu Ying joyously felt her new abilities.

It seemed she was especially lucky with this upgrade, with the Balance Scythe and now the Eye of Nature.

Could it be that the Blessing Magic was in effect?

Moreover, it had only been a few days since the upgrade, and she hadn’t planted any trees, yet her Professional Experience had soared swiftly.

Just now, it increased by 100 in one go, and she glanced at her Level Progress.

[Profession: Druid Lv4 (210/1000)]

“Natural Father, please look at me more!”

Mu Ying pressed her hands together, praying softly with utmost devotion.

After all, just one look was 100 experience—just a few more looks and she could level up again.

“...”

Well, no use, nature was still as it was, without a personified consciousness, indifferent and universal—calling it daddy was pointless, nor did it fall for the sweet-talking ways of Priests to their gods.

It seems she still needed to plant more trees.
