I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 61 - 61 60 The Instance Journey61: Chapter 60 The Instance Journey 61: Chapter 60 The Instance Journey “Where are the others?” Mu Ying finished tidying up the utensils and collapsed onto the soft sofa.

It had been a long time since she had such a leisurely moment after the apocalypse.

“Lillian and Windsor saw you weren’t up yet, so they went out to stroll around the tower.

Reni is brewing in the studio, and Margreta is probably hunting in the back mountain.

As for Lucia, she should be in the library reading.

After all, she excels in alchemy and is the most well-off among us,” Rosie said, stroking her chin.

“Money?” Mu Ying asked blankly.

Isn’t the school free?

Why do we still need money?

“I was as confused as you at first, given that every witch very tacitly didn’t give their children a single coin.”

Speaking of this, Rosie suddenly gossiped, “Let me tell you a secret, Margreta was kicked out of her house by her mother during her first vacation after enrolling and was told to find a place to start building a house herself.

After all, the economy of the Red Witches is the most strained.

Most are only good at fighting.

My mother at least sponsored me some seeds.”

“...”

No wonder she hadn’t managed to scrounge a single silver coin from her mother throughout her childhood.

The universal currency in this world is gold and silver coins.

The paper money issued by human kingdoms is only valid within their own territories, and is not recognized by witches.

It took Mu Ying a while to adapt to the witches’ educational views before she said with a twisted smile, “Then I’m really lucky, aren’t I?

My mother has passed away, so I can directly inherit a house, even though it’s a bit old!”

“Really?

Then you’ve saved yourself a lot of trouble.

Building a house is not an easy task.

I wanted a tree hollow house, but sadly, I haven’t found a suitable big tree for so long,” Rosie said enviously.

Indeed, she received unexpected envy.

The witches never relied on others—Principal Melanie was so right last night.

“So, for the sake of our future independent lives, we need to study hard!

And as for the things at the Four Seasons Market, if you want them, you have to save up money in advance to buy them.

The market is our only chance to leave the school before each vacation.

Everyone usually prepares things in advance to sell at the market and then buys what they want.

There are a lot of interesting things at the market!”

Mu Ying knew about the Four Seasons Market, as her mother had taken her there when she was a child.

There are twelve months in this world: Spring, Wind, Wood, Summer, Fire, Thunder, Autumn, Earth, Metal, Winter, Ice, Water.

Spring Month, Summer Month, Autumn Month, and Winter Month mark the start of the seasons, also known as the Season Months.

The Four Seasons Market occurs only during the full moon night in the middle of the Season Months.

According to Rosie, the school would go on vacation a week after the end of the Four Seasons Market.

During the seven-day holiday, students were allowed to leave the school to prepare for their dwellings for adulthood.

At other times, leaving the scope of the school was not permitted.

It wasn’t long before Margreta and Windsor returned.

They had specifically come to look for her to tour the school, having only walked around the vicinity of the tower just now.

Senior Sister Rosie was going to check on the growth of the herbs in the greenhouse, so she went down with them.

Although the school, including the principal, had only eight people, it covered quite a large area.

Outside the high tower was a spacious lawn, about the size of two soccer fields, which would also be their main practice area for flying lessons soon.

To the east of the lawn was a small lake, said to be very deep, containing a kind of Silver Fish with a delicious taste, although not easy to catch.

Rosie couldn’t help licking her lips when talking about it, which showed how tasty they were.

On the west side of the lawn was where the greenhouse stood, with a Medicine Field and a vegetable patch outside it.

Soon, they would be taking herbal medicine classes here.

Behind the high tower, the range of back mountains contained some wild animals that weren’t very dangerous and many wild herbs, which is where Margreta usually went hunting.

There was a rocky slope used for experimenting and practicing offensive magic.

And the boundary of the school was demarcated by a dense Magic Tree Wall.

The airspace above the wall was a no-fly zone, with its access controlled by the principal.

Trial World did not allow the use of Druid abilities from the real world; Broom Grass and wand materials would only be learned as part of the curriculum, and how to craft them into flying brooms and Magic Wands would only be taught after classes began.

Without the aid of a Magic Wand, it was nearly impossible for these novices, who had only recently awakened to their Magic Power, to call upon their magic in an orderly fashion.

To prevent them from recklessly experimenting, the library was off-limits to them until they successfully made their own Magic Wands.

Therefore, Mu Ying had unusually little to do this weekend.

The senior sisters were busy with their own endeavors to earn money and practice their magic, so the three of them just wandered around the school all day, occasionally watching the seniors work, enjoying a laid-back time, and their relationships quickly warmed up as a result.

So much so that when Mu Ying’s Trial Time ended, and she returned to reality, she still yearned for more; life at the Magic School was too wonderful, both its people and experiences, and she even found a sense of belonging there.

Fortunately, her experiences in the Trial World, like the role memories she received, were automatically stored upon her return.

Although she remembered them clearly, they didn’t impact her real life.

......

The next morning, Mu Ying, carrying her bow and spear, and a small pack with three days’ worth of dried food, arrived at the territory’s gate.

Huo Shaobai and the others hadn’t arrived yet, so Mu Ying scattered a handful of grains soaked in the Recovery Spring on the ground, rewarding the family of sparrows and other birds that had helped her tremendously during this time.

Listening to their cheerful chirping, Mu Ying felt genuinely happy.

Before long, Huo Shaobai and the others arrived, startling the birds into flying up into the trees.

“No matter how many times I see it, I’m always so envious of your affinity with animals,” Lu You wished he could enjoy being surrounded by little creatures like that!

“Alright, stop babbling, we’ve got serious business today,” Huo Shaobai punched Lu You.

With that, he quickly went over the abilities of the other members of their team.

A team of eight—four warriors, two thieves, one Martial Monk, and one Mage—all above Level 2 at 80%, with an average ranking in the top 100 on the combat achievement board, and Huo Shaobai had long held the top spot.

Apart from the Mage, all of them needed to accumulate Professional Experience in real combat, so they often went out.

Mu Ying sincerely introduced her forthcoming useful abilities, talking on and on for quite a while.

The mouths of Lu You and the others gradually fell open.

“...Ten already, that must be all, right?”

“Eleven now, twelve, and she’s still going!”

“Oh my goodness, sixteen, four at Circle Zero, eight at Circle One, four at Circle Two, that’s inhuman!”

Jie Gong, who had barely learned a Circle One Spell, was so envious he nearly cried; and that was with the entire team pulling together the coins for his Magic Scroll.

“That’s it, we’re definitely going to start off with a victory this time!” Lu You said excitedly.

“You’re thinking too much, my Mana Value is only 80 points, not even enough to cast the Tree Skin Skill on all of us,” Mu Ying threw cold water on his excitement.

But she hid some of her strength as well; her Perception was as high as 17 points, and Mana Value 100.

However, it was almost impossible for bodily Attributes to naturally exceed 15 points, so if she outright said 100 Mana, they could deduce her abnormally high Perception.

In an age where no method for enhancing Attributes had been revealed, that number was too dangerous.
