I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 89 - 89 88 Transformation Wolf89: Chapter 88: Transformation: Wolf 89: Chapter 88: Transformation: Wolf The Wolf Pack returned to Wolf King Slope with their prey, happily sharing the food.

Mu Ying nibbled on jerky while observing the traces of natural power with her eyes.

When she reached the Dead Forest, seeing not a hint of green on the charred land, Mu Ying wandered around the surrounding woods and used Feedback Claw to gather some tree seeds.

She took out a small basin, filled it with water, added some Recovery Spring, and soaked all the seeds to increase their survival rate.

She didn’t plant each seed as meticulously as she did in the Plantation.

Instead, after soaking them in spring water and using Plant Magic to enhance the potential of the seeds, she casually scattered them and used Druid Tricks to induce large-scale sprouting.

The ashes of the dead trees also enriched the soil, suggesting that these seeds should transform into a new Forest Land before long.

[You’ve undertaken a session of professional cultivation, gaining Professional Experience ×12]

Mu Ying discovered that this rough planting method yielded no less Experience than the meticulous planting she used to do.

Although the harvest per seed was slightly less, her planting efficiency had greatly increased, allowing her to sow more seeds at a time.

Overall, her gains were even slightly better than before.

Focusing on both quality and quantity was part of Druid practice, but her previous preoccupation with the quality and survival rate of individual trees was being too narrow-minded.

From the perspective of the entire nature and ecosystem, the life or death of an ordinary tree didn’t matter much.

Her role wasn’t to nurture each sapling like a nanny but to give them the opportunity to take root and sprout.

Perhaps some seeds would not grow up, but as long as most of them survived, that would suffice, as she couldn’t always look after those trees she had planted.

The meticulous care she had given to plants before was more suitable for cultivating precious plants, such as Mutant Plants, herbal medicine, and Magic Plants.

She should mainly conduct such cultivation in her Plantation.

Having clarified her future approach and principles for professional cultivation, Mu Ying sowed seeds with even greater skill and speed.

After sowing seeds over the entire Dead Forest, Mu Ying used the Water Creation Skill for the last time, “The rest is up to you now!”

Afterward, she no longer fretted about the Wolf Pack’s hunting, but during their hunts, she tried to keep her distance to avoid unwittingly “enticing” the prey.

With continued observation, the image of an agile wolf gradually took shape in her mind.

It began as a fragmented and stiff image, but as Mu Ying’s understanding of wolves deepened, it became more vivid, more like a real wolf.

As it let out its first authentic wolf howl, Mu Ying knew that the moment for her first Wild Transformation had arrived.

She lunged forward like a wolf, her body leaping into the air, completing the transformation and landing steadily on the ground on all fours.

“Awoof?” Success?

The sound that came from Mu Ying was a soft, muffled wolf cry.

“Awoo!” So adorable!

The wolf cubs curiously gathered around her, nudging against her back and forth.

Adorable?

What the heck?

Mu Ying pushed Xiao Xiao Hui, who was too plump to realize that he shouldn’t be climbing on her, to one side.

With one front paw, she tried reaching to her waist, wanting to take a small mirror from her Storage Pouch to see her appearance.

When performing Wild Transformation, one’s clothes and accessories would also transform and merge into the new form, so the Storage Pouch should still be at her waist.

But having been a wolf for less than two minutes, she clearly couldn’t perform such a complicated maneuver.

She was tripped by a mischievous pup nearby and stumbled to the ground with a thud.

“...”

It seems that successful transformation is not the end of it all; one must also adapt to the new body.

Fortunately, previous observations of the wolf pack were quite effective, and the Wild Transformation wasn’t just for show—Mu Ying quickly adapted to moving on four paws.

She pulled out a small mirror and peered into it.

Snowy and smooth wolf fur, emerald green eyes, about the same size as Da Hui, but a size smaller than the Wolf Form of Shi Yin.

In terms of size, she looked like an adult wolf, but the barely noticeable tender pink tips of her wolf ears and her round, innocent eyes exuded a naive childishness.

Scratching her fur with her paws, she looked every bit the picture of a dumb and silly charm.

Mu Ying’s dreams of herself as a fierce and majestic figure shattered to pieces.

Hand-painted figurines with eyes full of love; even in her Wolf Form, she was the wolf of his dreams.

Mu Ying summoned the Player Manual, and there was an additional attribute panel.

[Wild Transformation—Wolf]

[Life Value: 1500/1500]

[Attributes: Strength 16, Constitution 15, Agility 15, Intelligence 8, Perception 11, Charm 12]

[Language: Wolf Language]

[Skills: Innate Weapons, Sharp Sense of Smell and Hearing]

The attribute panel for the Wolf Form was much simpler than for the human form, and there was no distinction in levels, after all, only creatures with a professional system have level divisions.

Things like the Monster Atlas and the monster levels she detected with Detect Creature weren’t really levels these monsters had, but more like challenge levels assigned from the perspective of humans.

In the Wolf Form, there were no complex professional abilities, but the physical fitness was much stronger than in human form.

This was evident from the fact that her Life Value was more than five times higher than in human form, and her Strength, Body, and Dexterity attributes were astonishingly high.

Both skills were passive skills.

[Innate Weapons: Tough fur, sharp claws, pointed teeth, and good recovery powers are innate weapons of the wolf]

[Sharp Sense of Smell and Hearing: Wolves have a perceptual bonus in olfactory and auditory senses, equivalent to a Perception +5 effect]

Lacking the dexterous hands to wield weapons or casting talents, the wolf relies on its physical advantages to be an excellent hunter in the jungle.

Mu Ying’s ears twitched, picking up the sound of beetles crawling on leaves, the whispering breeze over the grass, the familiar scent of the wolf pack, the sweet smell of little lambs and the faint odor of blood on broken bones.

Her nose and ears replaced her eyes in importance; the world she perceived was filled with many more scents and sounds than images, bringing her an abundance of information.

This feeling was especially delicate, as if she was seeing the world clearly for the first time, the previously quiet and peaceful forest was filled with so many things she had never noticed before.

It was extremely novel.

Maintaining the Wild Transformation didn’t require any consumption, but she could only switch between her transformation and original form once a day.

Mu Ying wasn’t in a hurry to change back, especially since she had already packed up her tent, planning to experience the life of a wolf in her Wolf Form, to better master its abilities.

However, her habits of cleanliness and not eating raw food were deeply ingrained.

She claimed the cleanest slab of rock in the cave, lying on it and learning to lick her fur like the young wolves did.

Covered in thick wolf fur, she didn’t feel cold even without a blanket.

She went hunting with the wolf pack during the day, but unlike the other wolves that pounced and bit their prey, Mu Ying would pounce and tear off a piece of meat, then watch the panicked prey run away.

In the state of Wild Transformation, animal affinity wasn’t very effective since no creature will approach a natural enemy, no matter how endearing, without thinking.

This allowed Mu Ying to practice her stealth abilities well, learning to squat and lie in wait for prey like the other wolves, undetected until the last moment.
