I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 80 - 80 79 Four Seasons Market80: Chapter 79 Four Seasons Market 80: Chapter 79 Four Seasons Market The Four Seasons Market of Summer Month this year just happened to be on a Saturday, and from the end of classes yesterday to the whole day today, Mu Ying and her friends had been busy preparing the goods they planned to take to the market to sell.

Unlike the senior sisters, who already had experience and had found their own ways to make money, Mu Ying and her two friends wished they could bring everything valuable they had created during this period.

Mu Ying brought a potted sample of Binding Vine and a small packet of binding vine seeds, then a large bucket of bubble water, and a few bottles of uniquely colored hair dyeing magic potion.

If only she had been better at Shrinking Magic, she would have even wanted to bring cooking utensils and ingredients to sell snacks.

Lillian had prepared animal furs and materials she had gathered behind the mountains with Senior Sister Margreta, as well as a few bottles of the only hair dyeing magic potion she knew how to make – brown.

Windsor had prepared perfumes she had made from collecting dew and a few alchemy pieces from class practice.

The three of them had shrunk their items as much as possible with Shrinking Magic early on, hung them on their brooms, tried flying around the campus, and eagerly waited for the sun to set.

Unexpectedly, the rain came along with the nightfall.

“Haha, looking at them, it makes me feel like I was so silly last year!” Margreta laughed out loud.

“You were drenched like a drowned rat last year,” Reni mercilessly pointed out.

Senior Sisters Rosie and Lucia helped them dry off the moisture and cast Waterproof Magic spells on each of them.

Principal Melanie appeared on her broom at just the right moment, “Mount your brooms!”

Mu Ying and the two others flew on their brooms behind Principal Melanie, behind the seniors, forming a triangle shape, heading out of school.

The sudden rain had extinguished their small flames of excitement.

Although they didn’t have to worry about getting wet thanks to the Waterproof Magic from the seniors, the cold feeling of raindrops on their skin was still quite uncomfortable and affected their vision.

The joy of their first long flight was washed away; they were only focused on following the figure of the Principal ahead, afraid of falling behind.

They had no idea how long they had flown when a few more figures on brooms appeared in the sky.

The formation of Mu Ying’s eight-person group was particularly rare among the other solitary witches, and their speed was slower to accommodate the new students.

Every so often, a witch would catch up.

“Hey, are you freshmen who just enrolled?”

“Tsk tsk!”

“You look so green!”

“Speed up, little darlings!

Sister will wait for you at Hat Mountain!”

...

Whether they were teasing or greeting them friendly, all eventually overtook them uniformly, looking very cool as they did so.

Mu Ying felt like she was pedaling a bicycle while someone on a motorcycle zoomed past her.

The desire to race on her broom was growing wildly within Lillian, but Lady Melanie wouldn’t allow her to act recklessly, having given her several stern looks that forced her to back down.

Just before Windsor was about to burst from the embarrassment caused by the grown witches, making her face turn red, they finally saw the location of the Summer Month Four Seasons Market – Hat Mountain.

Hat Mountain loomed like a giant pointed Wizard Hat, with numerous natural caves on its slopes.

Through the veil of rain, they could see the Magic Lamp light emanating from those caves.

The mountain was chosen as the fixed site for the Summer Month Four Seasons Market due to the frequent thunderstorms during that time of year.

Mu Ying and her group followed the Principal down to the foot of the mountain, then hurriedly toted their packages into the cave.

“Phew – finally arrived!”

Mu Ying couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, rubbing her stiff cheeks; flying in the rain was really not a good choice.

Even the moderate rain today was hard to bear, let alone a proper storm; she figured it could probably blow one’s mind away.

The entrance to the cavern wasn’t large, but after walking through a passage wide enough for two or three people to walk side by side, they arrived at a small stone chamber with a fire burning.

There were about eight or nine witches taking a rest and chatting by the fire.

On the other side of the chamber was another entrance.

Principal Melanie pointed toward the entrance and said, “Go in through this one, and you can make your way upwards.

Along the passageway, there are some small caverns where you can set up stalls.

Have a look around by yourselves; I’ll wait for you here.”

Having said that, she yawned and moved over to the fire.

She took out a mini soft couch from her pocket, undid the shrinking magic, set it down, and lay upon it.

“...”

Mu Ying was once again amazed at the witches’ laissez-faire approach to education, which likely had something to do with their small population.

“Alright, forget about the principal, she’s always like this.

Let’s head straight up!”

They entered the cavern entrance and began ascending the rough stone stairway; soon, the tunnel split into several forks.

Mu Ying and her companions followed their senior sisters into different forks of the tunnel.

“Although Hat Mountain is full of tunnels and passages, you won’t get lost on your return as long as you remember to keep heading downward,” Senior Sister Rosie explained.

“The weather in the Summer Month isn’t very good, so many witches don’t like to come to the gathering at this time.

However, even though there are fewer people, those who do come won’t leave early to brave the rain.

They’ll usually take a few rounds around Hat Mountain, so you don’t have to worry about others not seeing your stall.”

Mu Ying nodded; unlike their principal, who carried a couch with her to the gathering, it was a minority.

With the long night ahead, what else was there to do but stroll around?

Before long, Mu Ying saw a small cavern already occupied by an older witch.

The various bottles and jars she had laid out indicated she was selling magic potions.

With not a penny to her name, Mu Ying didn’t linger; it would be too painful to find something she liked but couldn’t afford.

Senior Sister Rosie, aware of the awkwardness of new students at their first Four Seasons Market, led her on until they found an unoccupied small cavern.

“You set up here.

I’m going to look around up above.

Good luck!”

Although the small cavern could fit two stalls without much trouble, Rosie still chose to look for another spot.

Witches must always learn to be independent; this had been the case from the beginning of their education, and it never changed.

There would be no danger in Hat Mountain; for the sparsely populated witch community, every companion was worth cherishing.

Internal strife was extremely rare, and in the event it did happen, the Witch Association would punish it severely.

Mu Ying opened her bag, took out a table and a chair, dispelled the shrinking magic, and placed them at the entrance of the cavern.

Then she arranged the wooden boards she had prepared beforehand in front of the table.

She had written down the items for sale and their prices clearly on the board with charcoal, making it easy to read at a glance.

Finally, she displayed her goods neatly on the table and waited patiently for customers to arrive.

She crossed her arms and teasingly fiddled with the binding vines every now and then.

“It’s really quiet!

Completely different from the lively scene I had imagined...”

Just as she was muttering to herself, Mu Ying heard the thudding of footsteps; she looked up at the entrance and listened carefully for a moment.

“Someone’s actually coming?”

She got to her feet, fiddled with the things on the table, and expectantly looked in the direction from which the sounds were coming.

A young witch appeared from around the corner of the passage, her bright pink curly hair bringing a gleam of excitement to Mu Ying’s heart.
