Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

81: Chapter 81 I’ll Take You to Wander the World”Back then, I remembered that I had given you a red crystal, and I also told you at that time that I found it on Little Things Star.”

”So I guessed that you might have obtained many of those red crystals on Little Things Star and undergone Evolution again by consuming them.”

”After thinking of this, I left home and headed to Little Things Star to find you.”

”However, this journey was not very smooth.”

”When I arrived at Little Things Star, there was nothing here.”

”I searched that planet for a long time. How long was it exactly?”

Writing to this point, Eighteen’s claws stopped.

Its body coiled, striking a thinking pose.

”Probably about the time it took for Little Things Star to orbit its star a dozen times.”

”During that time, I was looking for you all over Little Things. Except for the underground of Little Things Star, I’ve been everywhere else on Little Things Star.”

”It’s just a pity that besides a strange cube, there was nothing else on Little Things.”

”But fortunately, because my behavior was so unusual, those Little Things on Little Things Star felt that I was someone they could communicate with, and those Little Things actually took the initiative to come out and communicate with me.”

”After a difficult period of communication, I also learned of your whereabouts.”

”I’m very glad I didn’t leave early because of a lack of results. After learning of your whereabouts from Old Thing, I immediately flew toward your location.”

”But before I left, this little guy, Sky, requested that I take it along.”

”I was very surprised at the time, but I still brought it along.”

”We came before that strange cube, but for some reason, neither Sky nor I could enter it.”

”Helpless, Sky and I could only wait outside for you to come out on your own.”

”This wait lasted for who knows how long.”

Whenever it came to questions involving time, Eighteen would pause for a moment, then write again:

”This time the wait wasn’t long, probably only a few orbits of Little Things Star around its star.”

”During the wait, with Sky’s help, I learned their race’s language and script.”

”I must say, writing is truly a good thing; it actually allowed me to communicate with you in a real sense.”

Eighteen bared its teeth at Lin Sheng, as if it were smiling.

After smiling for a while, Eighteen didn’t continue writing about its experiences, but suddenly asked:

”By the way, I heard from Sky that you were the one who brought the concept of names to them. Since you gave them names, you must have a name too, right?”

”Although I don’t understand your race’s language, if I haven’t guessed wrong, you must have given me a name too, right? Can you tell me what it is?”

Looking at these lines of text written by Eighteen, Lin Sheng thought for a moment and wrote:

”My name is ’Lin Sheng’. This isn’t the script of the Little Things race, so you probably can’t read it, but the name I gave you is ’Eighteen’.”

「”Lin Sheng”, ”Eighteen”? I understand.」

Eighteen wrote a crooked ”Lin Sheng” on the ground, then nodded and continued recounting its experiences.

”From Sky’s mouth, I learned about the ’Legitimate Heir’ and realized that those terrifying things were actually created by other creatures.”

”I truly can’t imagine what kind of existence a civilization capable of creating a ’Legitimate Heir’ would be.”

Writing to this point, a trace of fear appeared on Eighteen’s face.

”Sky and I waited outside for you for a long time, but for some unknown reason, the Legitimate Heirs outside developed extremely rapidly in a short period, so much so that I had to leave there.”

”After leaving that strange cube, I took Sky back to its home.”

”By then, the Legitimate Heirs had almost eaten all the Little Things.”

”When I arrived there, only Old Thing and a few Little Things whose names I didn’t know were left.”

”At that time, I could still barely deal with the Legitimate Heirs. I wanted to help Old Thing repel them, but Old Thing stopped me.”

”Old Thing said: This is their race’s mission; they were born to give everything for the Creator and the Legitimate Heir.”

”At that time, after hearing Old Thing’s speech, I was afraid Sky would do the same.”

”But Sky wasn’t as stubborn as Old Thing; it didn’t sacrifice itself for the Legitimate Heir.”

”And although Old Thing sacrificed its body to the Legitimate Heir, before doing so, it gave its feeding organ (suction cup) to me.”

”After Old Thing sacrificed itself, I repelled those Legitimate Heirs and snatched some energy devices that still had stock from their mouths.”

”Using the feeding organ Old Thing gave me and the one Sky lent me, I grew to my current level in a short time.”

”Afterward, I returned to the vicinity of that cube again, but there was still no sign of you appearing.”

”Out of necessity, I could only leave Little Things Star first.”

”It wasn’t until I left Little Things Star that I realized this Star System had completely changed.”

”Countless Legitimate Heirs had almost occupied this Star System. In desperation, I could only use the Remnant Grace left by my elders to save my life.”

Looking at the experiences Eighteen had written, Lin Sheng took a deep breath of seawater.

He reached out a claw and wiped away the words Eighteen had written.

Then, Lin Sheng forcefully carved several large characters into the sand and stone of the seabed:

”Get ready. I’m taking you out of this Star System. I’m taking you to roam the ends of the earth!”

Although Eighteen didn’t have the devouring ability and leaving the Solar System would be a narrow escape, staying in the Solar System would mean waiting for death.

And leaving the Solar System might still offer a glimmer of hope.

Seeing what Lin Sheng had written, Eighteen blinked.

At this moment, it appeared very excited.

It also reached out a claw and carved a word on the sand and stone:

「Okay!」

At the same time, Sky, who had been ignored by the two of them, also swam over.

Green light shot from its eyes, illuminating part of the space on the seabed.

Using its pincers, Sky added a sentence after the words Lin Sheng and Eighteen had written:

「And me!」

...

With writing, communication between Lin Sheng and Eighteen was much more convenient than using images before.

Because the ”deep blue pedestal” was constantly releasing energy, Lin Sheng and the others didn’t have to worry about maintaining their vital signs during this period.

But staying here was not a long-term solution.

The members of the Creator’s group would return one day. Lin Sheng could only be safe if he left the Solar System before the Creator reached it.

After making some preparations, Lin Sheng decided to set out.
