Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

77: Chapter 77 Martian BattleLin Sheng was suddenly shocked upon seeing this information.

He temporarily stopped reading the information and then asked the system:

“System, how is the time elapsed during my Evolution calculated?”

[Ding]

[The time elapsed during the Host’s Evolution is the Host’s own temporal information.]

[Since the Host entered the Four-Dimensional Slice, their own temporal information has synchronized with the temporal information within the Four-Dimensional Slice.]

[Therefore, the Host’s last Evolution consumed 100 Earth days, which can also be said to be 100 days spent within the Four-Dimensional Slice.]

“Holy sh*t!”

“Doesn’t that mean...”

[Over 270 years have passed in the Solar System.]

Hearing this explosive news, Lin Sheng’s scales literally stood on end on the spot.

He no longer cared about the things in the Four-Dimensional Slice; right now, he only wanted to get out and see how Eighteen was doing.

After not seeing each other for over 200 years, Eighteen must be going crazy looking for him, right?

Lin Sheng wedged the small Flesh Ball into the gap of his claws and then quickly left the Four-Dimensional Slice.

As soon as he exited the Four-Dimensional Slice, Lin Sheng was shocked by the surrounding scenery.

The surface of Mars was already a desolate wasteland, but compared to before Lin Sheng entered the Four-Dimensional Slice, the current Mars was desolate to a terrifying degree.

The reddish-brown earth looked as if it had been plowed over by something. Since Lin Sheng had spent his Evolution time in a deep sleep, even though over 200 years had passed in the outside world, to him, it was only an instant.

Therefore, these changes in the outside world left a deep impression on him.

Looking at the Martian surface that seemed to be missing a whole layer, Lin Sheng felt that during the 200 years of his Evolution, the entire Solar System had likely undergone significant changes.

Lin Sheng took to the air and flew towards the direction of Eighteen’s home.

Just as Lin Sheng took off, a cluster of small black dots suddenly appeared on the distant horizon.

Although these black dots came from different directions, they all had the same destination: Lin Sheng’s location.

Lin Sheng didn’t have the spare mind to care about those small black dots flying toward him; at this moment, his only thought was to find Eighteen as quickly as possible.

While searching for Eighteen, Lin Sheng continued to check the observation notes of that Supervisor member.

...

「Cosmic Year..., what’s going on? Who sent these lower lifeforms here?」

「A “chaotic information” strike? Isn’t this a method used by the “Source of Information (Source of Information)”?」

「No, I have to hurry back and notify the team leader. The experimental subjects cannot be destroyed by those guys from the “Source of Information”.」

The observation notes ended there. Lin Sheng tossed the Flesh Ball into his mouth, effectively destroying the evidence.

...

During the 200-plus years Lin Sheng was in “secluded cultivation” within the Four-Dimensional Slice, the insects outside had developed rapidly by relying on the Pattern written into them.

In these 200-plus years, the Zerg Swarm had already occupied most of the space in the Solar System.

The situation on Earth was relatively better. Although there was a rich variety of species there, due to the existence of the “Biological Energy Factory”, only the massive creatures on Earth were victimized by the Zerg Swarm.

For instance, the insects almost never paid any attention to Lin Sheng’s Salamander-like Creature “relatives”.

...

Before Lin Sheng could leave Mars, his path was blocked by a large group of strange-looking creatures.

Lin Sheng could vaguely see the shadow of the Zerg race in these creatures.

However, compared to the insects on Earth, these were like the “Earth Insect S-Promax” version.

The smallest of the insects surrounding Lin Sheng were a thousand meters long, and the largest had reached ten thousand meters in size.

Under normal circumstances, if Lin Sheng encountered these giant insects, he might have fought them for a bit.

But now Lin Sheng was in a hurry; he wanted to find Eighteen quickly.

Not seeing Eighteen for over 200 years made Lin Sheng very concerned about Eighteen’s current status.

Lin Sheng viewed the changes on Mars as a microcosm of the Solar System. The Zerg Swarm would certainly not just visit Mars; they would definitely head to other planets.

As a massive beast, Eighteen would inevitably become a primary target for the insects.

Eighteen was in danger this time.

...

Watching the Zerg Swarm closing in on him, Lin Sheng stretched his body. Strong electromagnetic radiation, lightning, and gray-white mist centered on him, enveloping the surrounding insects.

Because their sizes were too massive and the insects had a special structure, the strong electromagnetic radiation and lightning had limited lethality against them.

But the Anti-Life Equation was different. For creatures without “law level” protection, the Anti-Life Equation was an absolute harvester of life force.

The insects closest to Lin Sheng experienced “withering” of their bodies the moment they touched the gray-white mist.

Seeing the state of their companions, these insects did not retreat. They surrounded Lin Sheng like a group of fearless machines, surging into the gray-white mist he released one after another.

Some died from the loss of life force before they could even touch Lin Sheng.

But there were also those with more tenacious vitality who would reach Lin Sheng’s side and try to take a bite out of him when he wasn’t looking.

Against these backstabbers, Lin Sheng used his sharp claws to tear them into several segments.

A rain of insect corpses began to fall from the Martian Sky.

Some of these corpses were whole, while others were mangled and broken.

Since he was in a hurry, Lin Sheng didn’t waste time devouring these insect corpses.

He let the corpses crash onto the Ground, ignoring them entirely.

Although Lin Sheng’s slaughter of these insects never stopped, after half a day had passed, he discovered that the number of insects around him was actually increasing instead of decreasing!

The pile of insect corpses was already ten thousand meters high, yet the number of insects around Lin Sheng continued to grow.

Lin Sheng knew he couldn’t let this continue.

With more and more insects, the situation would only become more unfavorable for him.

The most correct course of action right now was to find an opportunity to break through the encirclement.

This scene was somewhat familiar; Lin Sheng remembered experiencing something similar when he was on Earth.

However, back then, he was forced to flee because his strength was insufficient.

But now it was different.

Now, he chose not to get too entangled with these insects because he was worried about his big brother’s safety.

If Eighteen was fine, Lin Sheng would come back to reclaim these “evolution points” he had left here.

Relying on the “Anti-Life Equation”, Lin Sheng forcibly forced an opening in the Zerg Swarm.

He pushed his Electromagnetic Force to the limit and also fired the Nuclear Energy Ray from his tail to his body’s maximum capacity.

At this extreme speed, the insects surrounding Lin Sheng could only stare blankly at his tail flames.
