Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

70: Chapter 70 The CreatorAfter the initial shock wore off, Lin Sheng suddenly noticed that there was something not quite right about this wall of flesh.

He had originally thought the flesh wall was some kind of living creature, but the information provided by Omniscience left Lin Sheng wide-eyed with surprise.

「???’s Biological Information Recovery Device, placed here with functions such as recycling biological information and defending against external attacks.」

「This item is a technological creation, but due to the influence of ???, the device appears in this state.」

The information from Omniscience shocked Lin Sheng greatly, and while he was still reeling from the impact of the ”Biological Information Recovery Device,” several strange-looking creatures quietly ”walked” out from within the wall.

They gathered around Lin Sheng, quietly observing this massive entity that had suddenly appeared.

Compared to Lin Sheng, the size of these creatures could be described as pitifully small.

These creatures stood about two to three meters tall and had a peculiar appearance; the bottom of their bodies was a large suction-cup-like organ, and above the suction cup were four somewhat slender, two-jointed limbs.

These thin legs acted like four crutches, supporting the creature as it walked normally.

The upper body of the creature was oval-shaped, with a head at the top of the oval, and on top of the head was a hemispherical...

Eye.

If that could be called an eye, then the green dot in the center was the creature’s pupil.

Below the head were three things that could be considered arms: one arm ended in a pincer-like segmented limb, another ended in a ”suction cup,” and the third was connected to a square organ that looked like a ”remote control.”

When Lin Sheng happened to look down, his attention was instantly captured by these strange-looking Little Things.

Although these creatures looked a bit odd, they gave Lin Sheng the feeling that every part of these Little Things’ bodies was useful!

Noticing that Lin Sheng was observing them, these Little Things actually began to whisper among themselves.

“*@@#?”

“#**！”

“#%%！”

Although the sound propagation on Mars was not as good as on Earth, Lin Sheng could clearly hear the strange sounds emitted by these small creatures.

Just as Lin Sheng was feeling puzzled, Omniscience immediately translated the conversation of these Little Things in his heart.

「What species is this? Is it also a child of the Creator?」

「Impossible! It can’t be a child of the Creator; it looks nothing like us!」

「Look at those parasites on its body; it must be an Evil Gods Minion!」

「Didn’t an Evil Gods Minion come here last time? It must be an accomplice of that one!」

“Snap!”

While Lin Sheng was still pondering over the terms ”Creator” and ”Evil Gods Minion,” the crisp sound of something like a whip striking flesh suddenly rang out in the noisy environment.

「Has your mind been polluted by the Evil God?」

「If this thing were an Evil God, how would it have found this place?」

「Have you forgotten the words the Creator said before leaving?」

「Only the children of the Creator can find this place.」

「Furthermore, all physical beings in the world (the universe) were created by the Creator. Even those Evil Gods Minions were once children of the Creator.」

「If you’re still worried, use the Controller to check its source information and see if I’m right.」

After being reminded by its kin, and under Lin Sheng’s gaze, a button on the ”remote control” arm of that Little Thing—whose mind didn’t seem very bright—suddenly lit up.

Then it cried out loudly.

「It really is! Its source information actually contains things mentioned by the Creator. It truly is a child of the Creator!」

「Then why has it become like this?」

Looking at the black Tentacles on Lin Sheng’s body, that not-so-bright Little Thing fell into confusion once again.

「You’re so stupid!」

Lin Sheng could hear a hint of disappointment in the tone of the more mentally active Little Thing.

「Although it has been polluted by the Evil God, it hasn’t been assimilated by it, and it is fighting against the Evil God every single moment!」

「It must have come to us because it can no longer suppress the power of the Evil God and needs our help.」

「As fellow children of the Creator, we must lend it a helping hand!」

The impassioned speech of the Little Thing made Lin Sheng feel a bit embarrassed.

Regarding the information the Little Things mentioned, Omniscience was only responsible for translating and did not provide much detail about the keywords in those messages.

Lin Sheng was very curious about some of those keywords, but since Omniscience couldn’t provide more info, he could only try asking the system.

“System Godfather, is everything these Little Things are saying true?”

“Were all creatures in the universe created by that Creator?”

Perhaps because of Lin Sheng’s use of the term ”Godfather,” the system gave a rare reply:

[Ding]

[No]

[Primitive Races tend to exaggerate the abilities of the things they worship, and these Little Things are no different.]

Hearing the system say this, Lin Sheng couldn’t help but curl his lip inwardly.

If the system grandfather hadn’t been in a good mood and provided an answer, he likely would have been kept in the dark by these Little Things.

This kind of informational error could have a certain impact on his future development.

Imagine one day, after Lin Sheng captured a creature, it suddenly spoke up:

“Big brother, don’t eat me! We are all children of the Creator, we’re brothers and sisters, we’re family! Family doesn’t eat family!”

Thinking of this, Lin Sheng couldn’t help but shrink his neck.

But just as he breathed a sigh of relief, the system dropped another bombshell before Lin Sheng could ask another question:

[Ding]

[Although the Creator did not create all physical beings in the universe, at the very least, all creatures in the entire Solar System were created by the Creator.]

Hearing this bombshell from the system, Lin Sheng subconsciously asked:

“Does that mean even the bugs were created by the Creator?”

[Ding]

[The system does not know. Please explore for yourself, Host.]

As if sensing it had said too much, the system went into silent mode.

However, the system’s final sentence served as a roundabout confirmation of Lin Sheng’s question.

“Created the creatures of the entire Solar System...”

Lin Sheng pondered to himself.

The Creator was the second named High-Level Civilization he had heard of.

Thinking of this, Lin Sheng suddenly asked the system again:

“System, who is stronger: this Creator or the Supervisor who created the oracle?”

“If they were to fight, which side would win?”

The system’s reply was very fast this time, and it was tinged with intense emotion.

[Please do not insult this system!]
