Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

59: Chapter 59 Shattering the Darkness with ThunderThunder fell from the Sky once more, striking the Zerg Swarm below.

But even under the impact of the thunder, and even as their bodies became mangled, those insects on the Ground still relied on their tenacious life force to transport the corpses.

Under the impact of the thunder, the conveyor belt continued to operate in an orderly fashion.

On the other side of the Flesh Ball, having absorbed the insect corpses, it began to output newborn insects from its opposite side.

The insects bred this time had shells that looked much harder than the existing ones; not only that, the wings of the newborn flying insects had changed from the previous thin, transparent layer to being equally incredibly hard.

Looking at those newborn flying insects flying toward him, Lin Sheng realized that the insects could not be wiped out by killing alone.

As long as the Flesh Ball did not die, the Zerg Swarm would remain in a state of equilibrium.

To break this equilibrium, Lin Sheng had to do something.

Subsequently, Lin Sheng deployed his Electromagnetic Force, controlling the insect corpses on the Ground that had not yet been devoured by the Flesh Ball to fly toward his mouth.

Lin Sheng’s act of devouring the Zerg Swarm instantly made the Flesh Ball sense a crisis.

Those newborn Zerg began to launch a second round of offensive against Lin Sheng.

Their hard wings made them unafraid of Lin Sheng’s lightning strikes; they could even withstand the thousand-degree high temperatures of electromagnetic radiation.

Seeing this situation, Lin Sheng directly condensed a layer of Electromagnetic Shield around himself.

Then, with a flick of his tail, a Nuclear Energy Ray shot out from the tip of his tail, instantly shooting down a large swath of insects.

Lin Sheng lowered his flight altitude; relying on the Electromagnetic Shield, he did not fear the venom spat out by those insects on the Ground.

Lowering his altitude was to make it easier to devour the insect corpses.

Relying on the insect corpses and the evolution points replenished by ”Stellar Energy,” Lin Sheng could use his talents completely without restraint.

He devoured the Zerg Swarm to obtain evolution points, and then used these evolution points gained from the Zerg Swarm to attack the Zerg Swarm.

In the end, the Zerg Swarm kept decreasing, while Lin Sheng’s evolution points did not decrease but instead increased.

Although the amount of growth was limited, do not forget that while the evolution points grew, Lin Sheng’s body would also receive an enhancement equal to the growth in evolution points.

As time passed, Lin Sheng’s body length kept increasing, and the surrounding Zerg Swarm had barely decreased, but the Flesh Ball had shrunk by a large margin during this battle.

Over time, the Flesh Ball also realized the gravity of the problem.

It did not continue to attack but instead changed its strategy, shifting from offense to defense.

The Zerg Swarm abandoned their useless attacks on Lin Sheng and began to contract around the Flesh Ball.

No matter how Lin Sheng attacked, they made no move to continue their assault.

When the Zerg Swarm had contracted to a certain range, the insects near the Flesh Ball began to burrow into it.

The influx of a large number of insects caused the Flesh Ball’s body, which had shrunk due to massive overexertion, to bulge once more.

Lin Sheng circled above the Flesh Ball; even though he was constantly killing insects, those still alive dragged and pulled the others, still allowing them all to burrow into the Flesh Ball.

When the last insect burrowed into the Flesh Ball, the Flesh Ball began to contract.

This degree of contraction was even more violent than its previous shrinkage.

The Flesh Ball, which was hundreds of thousands of meters in diameter, shrunk into a small ball with a diameter of only a bit over a hundred thousand meters in just a few breaths.

Although the Flesh Ball had shrunk, its mass had not changed.

Therefore, the Flesh Ball at this moment had extremely high density, and the hardness of its body had also increased significantly.

Lin Sheng hovered at a position about 1 meter above the Flesh Ball; he extended his front claw and swiped hard at it.

”Screech!”

A sound like the clashing of gold and iron rang out where Lin Sheng’s claw landed; Lin Sheng was shocked to find that his strike just now had actually produced sparks.

Lin Sheng refused to believe it.

He landed on the Ground next to the Flesh Ball, his three claws gripping the Ground tightly.

With the support of the Ground, Lin Sheng’s claws swiped at the Flesh Ball once more.

”Puchi.”

The sound of a sharp blade entering flesh came through; with a point of support, Lin Sheng exerted force again and was finally able to break through the Flesh Ball’s defense.

But before he could be happy for long, sensing that its body had been harmed, the Flesh Ball actually began to contract again.

This time, the speed of the Flesh Ball’s contraction was clearly much slower than before.

But even so, a contraction measured in units of ten thousand meters was still observable to the naked eye.

Lin Sheng stood beside the Flesh Ball, quietly watching it contract, his body making no movement at all.

After dozens of seconds, this contraction of the Flesh Ball finally stopped.

Now the diameter of the Flesh Ball had reached 80,000 meters; Lin Sheng tried again with his claws, but the Flesh Ball’s current defensive power had reached a terrifying level. Even with all his strength, Lin Sheng could only barely leave a very shallow blood mark on the Flesh Ball’s body.

The blood mark quickly disappeared, followed by a layer of black armor covering the Flesh Ball.

Seeing this, Lin Sheng’s lips couldn’t help but twitch.

The dignified ”Zerg Broodmother,” which in other novels is an existence threatening the stability of the universe, would actually be scared like this when facing a creature like himself, who was less than 1,000 meters in size?

Lin Sheng flew into the air, staring at the black Flesh Ball below, momentarily caught in a dilemma.

He really wanted to destroy this Flesh Ball right then and there, but judging by its strength, even if Lin Sheng’s attacks could kill it, he wouldn’t be able to devour it.

But if he didn’t destroy the Flesh Ball, Lin Sheng felt uneasy in his heart.

Leaving such a thing on Earth, God knows what kind of natural disaster it would become in the future.

After circling in the air for a while, Lin Sheng decided to wait in the wasteland for a few days first.

If a suitable opportunity arose during these few days, he would take action against this Flesh Ball.

If there was no suitable opportunity, then Lin Sheng would temporarily let this Flesh Ball go.

...

After waiting for only three days, Lin Sheng got the weather he wanted.

On this day, the Sky was covered with dark clouds, and countless thick bolts of thunder swirled within the overcast clouds, with occasional peals of thunder coming from the distance.

Where the flashes of lightning overlapped, a creature like a celestial god circled within.

Lin Sheng controlled the electromagnetic field around himself, guiding the Electromagnetic Force to strike the Flesh Ball below.

With Lin Sheng’s enhancement, thunder like divine wrath continuously poured down on the location of the Flesh Ball; at this moment, black smoke was already rising from the Flesh Ball’s pitch-black shell.

But even so, through ”Omniscience,” Lin Sheng learned that the interior of the Flesh Ball was still active.

Facing a species with such tenacious vitality, Lin Sheng could only slowly grind it to death.

He looked up at the Sky, his mouth wide open; a small portion of the thunder was converted into evolution points for the subsequent strikes against the Flesh Ball.

Feeling that it was about time, Lin Sheng flew to the side of the Flesh Ball.

Thick Strong Acid was spat out by Lin Sheng in large gulps; the Strong Acid converted from tens of millions of evolution points directly turned the large crater where the Flesh Ball was located into a small acid pool.

I normally update 4,000 words every day. If the author is busy, I will update 2,500 words and make it up later.

As for extra updates, my idea is this:

Starting from tomorrow, which is April 1st,

If the total daily tips reach 50, or the number of daily tips reaches 100 (sending love counts too), I will add one update, with a cap of 2 extra updates per day.

If there are issues with the extra update rules, they will be changed later.
