Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

64: Chapter 64 The Dark Side of the MoonLin Sheng controlled his flight speed, and after ensuring he had been captured by the moon’s gravity, he ceased control over his body.

After settling his body into Lunar Orbit, Lin Sheng’s consciousness left his body and drifted leisurely toward the side of the moon facing Earth.

The speed of consciousness had always been a mystery to Lin Sheng.

When flying toward his body, his consciousness could move very quickly.

But if he used his consciousness for other things, such as scouting while out of his body, its speed was only as fast as Lin Sheng’s normal flight speed using his wings.

...

After a long period of drifting, Lin Sheng’s consciousness arrived at the lunar surface.

This was the Light Side of the moon, where the light was quite sufficient.

At a glance, the surroundings were desolate, without a single trace of biological activity.

Relying on the unique properties of his consciousness, Lin Sheng wandered around the area at will.

But no matter how he looked, it was a wasteland; let alone large creatures, there weren’t even any hardy insects here.

After ensuring the Light Side of the moon was safe, Lin Sheng’s consciousness returned to his body.

He planned to check out the Dark Side of the moon, but he wasn’t comfortable leaving his body unattended outside for a long time, so Lin Sheng decided to first pilot his physical body onto the Light Side to park it.

Flying down to the lunar surface, Lin Sheng landed inside a Crater.

Finding a comfortable position to lie down, Lin Sheng’s consciousness left his body once more.

...

Perhaps because it was currently daytime on the moon, the Dark Side wasn’t pitch black as Lin Sheng had guessed; compared to the Light Side, although the Dark Side lacked light, it wasn’t to the point of being completely dark.

At the very least, as Lin Sheng’s consciousness floated at the Terminator, he could still vaguely make out the scenery on the Dark Side.

Though it was blurry, Lin Sheng still discovered that the Dark Side of the moon wasn’t just filled with simple Craters like the Light Side was.

After observing at the boundary for a while, Lin Sheng had a thought and drifted directly across the Terminator into the Dark Side.

The moment he crossed the boundary, Lin Sheng suddenly felt the surrounding scenery seem to ”flicker” for an instant.

However, his energy was currently focused entirely on the great monster Eighteen had mentioned; regarding this momentary occurrence, Lin Sheng simply dismissed it as a normal reaction to crossing the boundary.

The Dark Side of the moon was somewhat dim, but Lin Sheng could still see the conditions inside clearly.

At this moment, his consciousness was floating over a rugged Ground; looking out, besides the rugged terrain, there were countless skeletons of unknown creatures.

Some of these skeletons appeared normal white, some were grayish-black, and some were even pure black.

Looking at this spectacular scene, Lin Sheng was shocked.

Although he hadn’t seen the terrifying creature Eighteen described, just based on these skeletons, Lin Sheng had already conjured a terrifying monster image in his mind.

Among these skeletons, there was no shortage of individual bones that were over a hundred meters long.

From these bones, one could see how powerful these creatures must have been when they were alive.

Yet, even such powerful creatures now only had a few massive bones to prove they had once existed.

And to be able to hunt such creatures, just how powerful must that terrifying creature be?

Lin Sheng imagined himself frowning, then he looked at the surrounding skeletons and fell into deep thought for a moment.

Judging by the situation on the Dark Side of the moon, that monster’s terror was beyond doubt.

But it seemed to have limitations.

Because the skeletons of these creatures were all concentrated on the Dark Side of the moon.

Everything on the Light Side of the moon was normal, even looking exactly like the moon Lin Sheng had seen on television in his past life.

It was just this Dark Side...

At this point, Lin Sheng suddenly noticed a problem.

Eighteen said there was a great horror on the moon, and after coming to the Dark Side, Lin Sheng had indeed seen evidence of this horror from the sidelines.

But the problem was, he had been on the Dark Side for quite a while and yet hadn’t seen the terrifying monster itself.

Could it be sleeping?

Lin Sheng couldn’t help but think this in his heart.

His consciousness drifted toward the depths of the Dark Side, wanting to find the terrifying creature Eighteen spoke of.

Along the way, Lin Sheng was once again stunned by the sight beneath him.

The further he flew into the depths of the Dark Side, the larger the skeletons became and the more their numbers grew.

The phrase ”piled up like mountains” wasn’t enough to describe the number of skeletons in this place; looking at this scene, Lin Sheng was momentarily at a loss for words.

After a brief moment of shock, Lin Sheng regained his composure and continued forward.

The path was covered with the skeletons of different species and colors, but having flown all this way, Lin Sheng hadn’t seen even a shadow of that terrifying creature.

This couldn’t help but cause Lin Sheng to fall into doubt.

Since he had almost no connection to that terrifying creature, even ”Omniscience” didn’t provide Lin Sheng with an explanation this time.

Lin Sheng wandered the Dark Side of the moon for a long time; in the end, he had even toured the entire Dark Side, yet he still hadn’t seen any sign of the terrifying creature.

Finally, Lin Sheng reached a conclusion.

That terrifying creature probably wasn’t home.

Since the terrifying creature wasn’t home, Lin Sheng decided to personally go to the Dark Side of the moon to investigate.

Although ”Omniscience” hadn’t given Lin Sheng information about the terrifying creature just now, during the time his consciousness was floating above the skeletons, his subconscious had constantly wanted to devour them.

Lin Sheng knew this was a reminder from ”Omniscience.”

Although he didn’t know what use devouring these bones would have, Lin Sheng remembered that ”Omniscience” had given him this kind of reminder before.

That time, he had directly become a god.

Therefore, Lin Sheng didn’t plan to miss this reminder from ”Omniscience.”

With the terrifying creature conveniently away from home, Lin Sheng could directly enter the Dark Side to devour these skeletons.

...

His consciousness returned to his body, and Lin Sheng slowly climbed up from the Ground.

He took flight, rapidly heading toward the Dark Side of the moon.

As he crossed the Terminator, a strong sense of frame-dropping instantly transmitted to Lin Sheng’s consciousness through his body as a medium.

Lin Sheng frowned, and his figure also paused in mid-air.

When his consciousness crossed the boundary earlier, he had also experienced this feeling for a moment.

At the time, Lin Sheng had thought it was just his imagination.

But now that his body had entered, with the physical body acting as a transmission medium, this tangible sense of frame-dropping made Lin Sheng realize that his previous experience was no illusion.

”What’s the situation with the Dark Side of the moon?”

Lin Sheng muttered to himself.

「Affected by ???, the three-dimensional information here is quite disordered」

Lin Sheng pondered this sentence in his heart.

Disordered three-dimensional information could be abbreviated as ”spatial disorder.”

He suddenly thought, could it be that the terrifying creature didn’t go out, but was instead teleported elsewhere because of the spatial disorder?
