73: Chapter 73 The Eldest Son”Information Panel, Individual Biological Information Identification Device.”

”Little Things can use the Information Panel for individual identification and long (short) distance non-physical communication.”

”The Information Panel of every Little Things is unique; therefore, they do not need names and can identify individuals directly through the Information Panel.”

”The Information Panel is strongly linked to the Biological Information Recovery Device. When the subject of the Information Panel is in danger, the Information Panel can directly teleport the subject back to the Biological Information Recovery Device.”

Lin Sheng tossed the Information Panel in his claws. After getting the information he wanted, he returned it to the Old Thing.

The Old Thing used its Suction Cup to hold the Information Panel, aligned the broken ends, and then used its pincers to gently squeeze the break a few times.

After the Old Thing withdrew its pincers, the break miraculously healed just like that.

”Ground, what else do you want to ask? Go ahead.”

Lin Sheng nodded and continued writing on the Ground:

”Tell me about this Biological Information Recovery Device and... the purpose of this device.”

Lin Sheng originally wanted to call it ’pork belly,’ but the Little Things had no word that translated to ’pork belly,’ so he could only point at the massive ’pork belly.’

”Let’s start with the Biological Information Recovery Device.”

The Old Thing drew a circle on the Ground with its pincers.

”The Creator said this is the home it built for us.”

”This home has many functions, but the greatest is ensuring the safety of us Little Things.”

”No matter where we Little Things are, as long as the Information Panel senses danger, our biological information will be immediately transferred back here.”

”When your biological information is being transferred, does your whole body glow green?”

Lin Sheng suddenly thought of the Little Things that had vanished earlier.

He figured his claw must have triggered the Information Panel, causing that Little Things to disappear.

”Yes, that is a normal phenomenon of biological information transfer.”

The Old Thing’s pupils flickered. Seeing that Lin Sheng had no further questions, it continued:

”The purpose of home is more than just that. As long as we Little Things stay at home, we are safe.”

”Only the Creator’s normal children can enter the home without being affected by information interference.”

”Creatures like those already contaminated by the ’Evil God’ have lost their own thoughts and can only be shut out of the home.”

”I remember last time, a terrifying Evil Gods Minion came here. Fortunately, our home protected us; otherwise, all of us Little Things might have become food for the Evil Gods Minion.”

Lin Sheng pondered that the Evil Gods Minion the Old Thing mentioned was most likely Eighteen.

But since Eighteen wasn’t a creature made by the Creator, it hadn’t discovered the Little Things here.

...

”This is the energy device. We Little Things rely on this to maintain our vital signs.”

Having finished explaining the Biological Information Recovery Device, the Old Thing began to tell Lin Sheng about the function of this ’pork belly.’

”The energy device contains abundant energy. We Little Things come to absorb energy here at set times every stellar day.”

”When a Little Things loses activity due to insufficient body energy, it is also directly teleported to the energy device.”

”Once it absorbs energy from the energy device, the Little Things will regain its activity.”

Listening to the Old Thing’s explanation, Lin Sheng looked at the energy device again and felt the red parts on it looked somewhat familiar.

”Red Crystal.”

A flash of insight struck Lin Sheng.

The red sections on this ’pork belly’ gave Lin Sheng a sense of translucence, a texture indeed similar to the Red Crystals.

Lin Sheng placed his claw on the energy device, and some information surfaced in his mind.

”Biological Energy Device, condensed from a large amount of biological energy.”

”Can actively absorb Stellar Energy to replenish its energy.”

Lin Sheng stared at the massive ’pork belly,’ his thoughts unknown.

Seeing Lin Sheng staring at the energy device, the Old Thing thought he was hungry.

It patted Lin Sheng’s claw with its pincer and said:

”Ground, if you want to replenish your energy, I can lend you my Absorption Organ.”

After saying that, before Lin Sheng could react, the Old Thing used its pincers on itself with a ’snap,’ and its Suction Cup fell off.

It gently picked up the Suction Cup, fixed the back end to Lin Sheng’s claw, and pressed the front end against the energy device.

...

Each transfer of evolution points to Lin Sheng was around a thousand. While this amount was sufficient for a creature the size of the Little Things, it was far from enough for a creature of Lin Sheng’s size.

After absorbing energy from the energy device for a while, Lin Sheng returned the Suction Cup to the Old Thing.

Looking at the Old Thing, who treated him like family, Lin Sheng temporarily suppressed the stray thoughts in his mind.

He was silent for a moment, then spoke again:

”How much do you know about family members other than your Little Things?”

The Little Things race had no concept of ’insects.’ Lin Sheng wanted to learn about the insects, but he didn’t know what the insect race was called among the Little Things.

Thus, he could only ask generally first, planning to analyze what the insects were called from the Old Thing’s words later.

”Family members other than us...”

The Old Thing paused, seemingly searching its mind for information on this.

Its Information Panel flickered.

”The Creator said that besides the Little Things Star (Mars), there are also family members on the Blue Star (Earth) and the Di Star.”

”Before leaving, the Creator said that the family members on the Di Star are the Creator’s Legitimate Heirs, while the family members on the Little Things Star and the Blue Star are the Creator’s Illegitimate Sons.”

”The Creator said that we Illegitimate Sons are born for the Legitimate Heirs, and Illegitimate Sons must unconditionally support everything the Legitimate Heirs do.”

”Is the Legitimate Heir an individual or a collective race?”

Hearing this, Lin Sheng suddenly asked.

From the Old Thing’s words, Lin Sheng got a strange feeling.

Although Lin Sheng didn’t understand what a ’Legitimate Heir’ was, he could make a bold guess.

But before guessing, he still needed some information as a foundation.

I feel like the Solar System arc has been constantly digging holes without much plot progression.

I don’t know if you feel the same way while reading.

But don’t worry, at the end of the Solar System arc, a large portion of those holes will be filled.

No-prize quiz:

1. You can all make bold guesses about what kind of civilization the ’Creator’ mentioned by the Little Things actually is.

2. Do you remember what I wrote at the beginning? Why did the giant creatures on Earth eventually disappear? Why are the longest insects only 3 meters long now?

Everyone can open up their imaginations and make bold guesses.
