Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

54: Chapter 54 Today’s ”Godslayer”The Blue Spirit God wanted to directly suppress Lin Sheng through powerful energy, but little did He know that the stronger the energy He released, the more energy Lin Sheng absorbed.

While the Blue Spirit God would also absorb energy from Lin Sheng’s body, His method of attack would continuously replenish Lin Sheng’s energy.

For a moment, the scene seemed to fall into a stalemate.

However, Lin Sheng was more than happy to see this happen.

Because he had realized early on that the two talents, ”Devour” and ”Evolution,” were independent of each other.

”Devour” allowed things swallowed by Lin Sheng to be converted into energy, thereby allowing Lin Sheng to grow.

”Evolution” allowed things swallowed by Lin Sheng to be converted into evolution points of the corresponding energy.

Under the effect of these two independent talents, when Lin Sheng devoured a creature, its inherent energy could exert a double effect.

At this time, although the Blue Spirit God could also continuously absorb energy from Lin Sheng’s body, what He was absorbing was merely the energy He had already lost.

But what about Lin Sheng?

He was obtaining double the energy.

Lin Sheng’s size would keep increasing, and his evolution points would keep growing, while the Blue Spirit God remained stagnant.

The sudden system notification didn’t break Lin Sheng’s rhythm. At this moment, his entire mind and body were devoted to contending with the Blue Spirit God, and he simply had no time to pay attention to anything else.

After a long time, the Blue Spirit God suddenly realized something was wrong.

He found that after so much time had passed, this lower organism had not only not been absorbed by Him, but its size was actually still increasing!

The Blue Spirit God also realized that this form of attack had little effect on Lin Sheng, so He decisively abandoned the large-scale energy output and changed His method of attack.

Lin Sheng suddenly found that the energy he could devour had decreased.

「The Blue Spirit God has changed its attack method」

With the reminder from ”Omniscience,” Lin Sheng immediately became alert.

He looked around but could not find the Blue Spirit God’s figure.

「Above」

Lin Sheng looked up abruptly and was met by a pair of massive golden eyes.

The owner of these eyes was a humanoid creature radiating blue light from its entire body.

The Blue Spirit God was crouched above Lin Sheng. Seeing Lin Sheng look at Him, the corners of His mouth curled up, and a chilling smile appeared within His golden eyes.

The smile was full of malice. If an ordinary creature were present, just this smile alone would be enough to make its consciousness dissipate.

But Lin Sheng was no ordinary creature.

He wasn’t afraid of the Blue Spirit God’s mental attacks at all. Upon seeing the Blue Spirit God’s smile, he only felt that the guy’s smile was a bit creepy.

Seeing that His mental deterrence had no effect on Lin Sheng, the Blue Spirit God didn’t waste any words and directly took action.

The body of energy faced zero resistance in the water, and His claws directly grabbed Lin Sheng’s upper and lower jaws.

Since you can devour infinitely, if I tear this mouth of yours apart, can you still continue to devour?

The Blue Spirit God’s speed had already exceeded the limit of what Lin Sheng’s body could react to. By the time Lin Sheng came to his senses, the pain of his body being torn apart had already pierced deeply into his consciousness.

The Blue Spirit God forcibly tore open Lin Sheng’s mouth, the horrific wound spreading directly to Lin Sheng’s abdomen. Blackish-purple blood instantly filled the entire sea area.

Lin Sheng’s lower jaw hung limply; he looked extremely listless, as if he had already lost the ability to resist.

The Blue Spirit God held Lin Sheng’s upper jaw, looking down and watching Lin Sheng with a mocking gaze.

Seeing that Lin Sheng had lost his ability to resist, the Blue Spirit God’s body shifted and returned to its blue light form.

The blue light enveloped Lin Sheng’s body, intending to devour him directly.

However, at the moment the Blue Spirit God enveloped Lin Sheng, a sudden change occurred.

At the wound that had been torn open, Lin Sheng’s flesh suddenly began to writhe.

Countless Tentacles emerged from within, intertwining with each other and connecting Lin Sheng’s torn upper and lower jaws.

The connection of the Tentacles caused Lin Sheng’s mouth to expand several times over. He opened his mouth, and although the Blue Spirit God’s reaction was fast, given that He had already enveloped Lin Sheng, no matter how fast His reaction was, Lin Sheng still managed to scrape off a significant amount of energy.

The Blue Spirit God condensed into His humanoid form once again, a flash of anger appearing on His divine face.

Lin Sheng adjusted his posture the moment the Blue Spirit God dodged. Using Electromagnetic Force to push away the seawater, he burst forth with a speed he had never achieved before, arriving in front of the Blue Spirit God almost in the blink of an eye.

Even the Blue Spirit God was taken aback by Lin Sheng’s speed.

Although under normal circumstances, such speed would be within His reaction range, at this moment, when such speed was unleashed by Lin Sheng, it was no longer within His reaction range.

This was because the Blue Spirit God had observed Lin Sheng and understood his speed; He never imagined Lin Sheng could burst forth with such speed.

Caught off guard, the Blue Spirit God was already approached by Lin Sheng.

His body was formed from compressed and condensed energy, and in size, it wasn’t much larger than Lin Sheng.

If His body were large enough, Lin Sheng would have been torn in half by Him earlier.

Lin Sheng’s mouth, which had expanded several times, clamped down directly, covering more than half of the Blue Spirit God’s body.

This was the benefit of an energy body; with one close of the mouth and a swallow, the evolution points were credited.

The remaining leg-and-a-half of the Blue Spirit God instantly dissipated, replaced by a massive cloud of blue light.

The range covered by the blue light was incredibly vast, and Lin Sheng continued to open his huge mouth, crazily devouring the blue light.

At this point, the Blue Spirit God no longer had the desire to continue fighting.

He had realized that although the creature before Him was lower-class, it possessed the power to threaten Him.

The Blue Spirit God now only wanted to replenish His energy through the ”deep blue pedestal” and use it to drive away this lower organism.

As for relying on the replenishment from the ”deep blue pedestal” to fight this lower organism to the death?

As a noble god, the Blue Spirit God simply disdained doing such a thing.

If He truly wanted revenge, He would wait until the Creator returned and then, in front of the Creator, resolve this lower organism in a dignified manner.

...

In an instant, the vast blue light merged into the ”deep blue pedestal,” and subsequently, a giant composed of blue light appeared before Lin Sheng.

The giant’s golden eyes gazed at Lin Sheng, and then it let out a silent roar at him.

Seeing that the giant did not launch an attack, Lin Sheng did not strike out recklessly either.

The deterrent power of size was still very great. Facing a giant several thousand meters long, Lin Sheng could only slowly retreat.

Seeing Lin Sheng retreating, the Blue Spirit God also breathed a sigh of relief.

This was a good result for both of them.
