He answered by capturing her lips again in another deep, soul-stirring kiss — slower this time, but no less passionate. Their tongues moved together in perfect rhythm, savoring each other as if they had all the time in the world and yet not enough. His hands continued their gentle exploration, tracing the elegant lines of her back and sides through the shimmering gown, pulling her even tighter against his body so she could feel the steady, strong beat of his heart matching hers.

When they finally parted, both breathing hard, Beyoncé rested her forehead against his, her eyes shining with love, relief, and pure adoration. A radiant smile spread across her face as she gently cupped his cheeks with both hands.

”You have no idea how much I missed you,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. ”Not just the kisses... but this. Feeling you hold me like I’m the only thing that matters.”

Marvin’s eyes softened, the dark intensity melting into pure warmth as he looked at her. ”You mattered to me more than you think,” he murmured, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead, then the tip of her nose, then her lips once more — soft and lingering..

”Gordon,” Marvin commanded, his voice dark.

In the driver’s seat, Gordon, ever the consummate professional, didn’t need the directive repeated. The partition dividing the cabin was raised, but the ears had caught the raw urgency in his boss’s voice perfectly.

Within seconds, the driver’s door clicked open. Gordon stepped out into the cool Los Angeles night, adjusted his suit jacket, and strode with purpose toward the glowing entrance of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

In the backseat, the intoxicating tension remained unbroken. Marvin kept Beyoncé securely against his chest, their breathing gradually syncing in the dim light.

They didn’t have to wait long. Exactly five minutes later, Gordon re-emerged through the glass double doors. He bypassed the driver’s side entirely, heading straight for the Maybach’s trunk. The muted thud of the lid closing signaled his approach.

The tinted glass of the passenger window hummed down just an inch—enough to let the cool February air mingle with the overheated luxury of the cabin. Gordon passed two sleek, nondescript duffel bags through the narrow gap.

”Everything is handled, Marvin,” Gordon said, his voice a low murmur designed to vanish into the ambient street noise. ”The luxury suite on the fifth floor is secured for the next three days. I’ve instructed the staff: privacy, no room service, no housekeeping. They are not to approach the door unless you call down directly or the building is burning. I’ll be in the adjacent room on the same floor if you require anything.”

”Thank you, Gordon,” Marvin replied, taking the bags. The window slid seamlessly back up, sealing them in their private sanctuary once more.

Marvin turned his attention back to Beyoncé, who was still deliciously straddling his lap, her thighs hugging his hips and her full breasts pressed warmly against his chest.

Their last kiss had left her breathing heavier, lips slightly swollen and glistening, cheeks flushed with that radiant, just-kissed glow he couldn’t get enough of.

He handed her one of the bags, his other hand never leaving her body — thumb slowly stroking the generous curve of her hip in lazy, possessive circles.

She took it with a sultry little smile, heavy-lidded eyes sparkling with curiosity and heat as she unzipped it. Inside lay a wide-brimmed black hat, a sleek medical-style mask, oversized dark sunglasses, and a perfectly tailored trench coat.

She looked back up at him, one perfectly arched eyebrow raised in that sexy, questioning way that always made his pulse kick harder.

”For you, beautiful,” Marvin said smoothly, voice low and velvet-rough. His hand slid lower, cupping the soft, plush curve of her ass and giving it a gentle, appreciative squeeze. ”Unless you want Page Six running the headline of Destiny’s Child’s breathtaking lead singer being carried into a hotel suite like a bride on her wedding night by Marvin Meyers. I’m sure your father would lose his mind reading the morning papers.”

Beyoncé’s lips curved into a wicked, knowing smirk, slow and full of mischief. She rolled her hips once — a teasing, deliberate grind against the hard ridge of him beneath her — before answering.

”Mmm... tempting,” she purred, voice husky and sweet like melted caramel. ”But I like the idea of keeping you all to myself tonight.”

She leaned in, brushing her full lips against his ear, letting her warm breath ghost over his skin. ”So tell me, Mr. Meyers... you always keep a full ’sneak-out and fuck me senseless’ wardrobe in the trunk of your Maybach? Just in case you need to spirit away beautiful women in the middle of the night?”

She nipped his earlobe playfully, then pulled back with a bright, teasing laugh that filled the car with pure joy and desire.

Marvin chuckled — a deep, dark, delicious sound that vibrated straight through her body. His hands roamed higher, sliding up her waist and brushing the undersides of her breasts through the shimmering silver gown, thumbs grazing sensitive peaks until she shivered.

She slowly climbed off his lap, the movement deliberately agonizing as the silk of her gown slid with a soft whisper against his trousers.

She shrugged off the lingering heat of his touch, playfully turning her back to him as she slipped the trench coat over her silver gown, instantly hiding her famous silhouette.

Marvin chuckled—a dark, velvet sound that vibrated in the tight space. He pulled a matching coat and mask from his own bag.

”I’m a man of many contingencies, B,” he replied, his tone dripping with the exact, arrogant charm she loved. ”Though, to be fair, these are primarily for surviving the paparazzi and outrunning the clinically insane fans who try to throw themselves onto the hood of my car when I want a quiet dinner.” He reached over, gently pulling the wide-brimmed hat down over her hair. He leaned in, his voice dropping to a wicked whisper against her ear.

”That being said... if having them helps me spirit one of the most beautiful women in the world up to my bed without starting a tabloid war, I’ll gladly take the title of ’sly bastard’.”

A soft, breathless laugh escaped her lips as she secured her mask.

Properly disguised, they stepped out of the Maybach. The chill of the night air felt sharp against their heated skin, but the anticipation kept the blood roaring in their veins.

Gordon led the way, acting as a broad-shouldered vanguard to part the invisible waters of the hotel lobby.

Marvin fell into step beside Beyoncé, his hand slipping naturally into hers. The moment their fingers intertwined, he reached outward with his aura.

Most people imagined perception as sight, but sight was only the beginning. The human brain discarded thousands of details every second. It ignored the constant presence of one’s own nose hanging in the center of their vision. It tuned out the sensation of clothing against skin. It forgot the rhythm of breathing until attention was deliberately drawn to it.

Marvin’s aura manipulated that natural filtering process.

Rather than hiding himself, he simply encouraged the mind to categorize him as unimportant.

The overwhelming presence he normally used to command attention was turned inside out. Instead of drawing eyes toward himself, he redirected that pressure elsewhere.

Toward Gordon.

A passing guest noticed Gordon’s broad shoulders and imposing presence. The concierge tracked the bodyguard’s movement through the lobby. Bellhops unconsciously gave him extra space.

Marvin and Beyoncé were seen.

Their images reached every pair of eyes in the room.

Yet the information never lingered long enough to become important.

The brain acknowledged them and immediately discarded them, just as it discarded countless other details every day.

A few people glanced at them.

None looked twice.

A young couple walking through the lobby.

Nothing unusual.

Nothing worth remembering.

By the time they reached the elevators, most people present would struggle to recall what either of them had been wearing. Some would vaguely remember seeing someone beside Gordon. Others would not remember them at all.

Not because they had been invisible.

But because Marvin had convinced the human mind to treat them like the sound of one’s own breathing—something always present, yet rarely noticed.

They seemed very ordinary, quite average, much like the everyday ghosts one might see.

They slipped into the waiting elevator, the doors gliding shut with a soft *ding* that sealed them away from the lobby’s gentle jazz melody. The ride to the fifth floor crackled with delicious tension. In the intimate glow of the mirrored walls, the air grew thick, warm, and electric—charged with the kind of hunger that made hearts race and skin tingle.

Marvin’s pulse thundered as he stole glances at her, the way her dress hugged every tempting curve, the subtle flush on her cheeks, the playful spark in her eyes that promised pure mischief. God, she looked ready to devour him. If Gordon hadn’t been standing there like an oblivious third wheel, she would’ve been all over him—pressing him back against the cool metal wall, her hands sliding under his shirt, fingers teasing and exploring while her lips found his in a hot, breathless kiss.

He could almost feel it: her body melting into his, soft curves molding perfectly against him, her breathy little laugh turning into a sultry moan as the elevator hummed upward. The fantasy ran wild—her nails grazing down his chest, hips rolling teasingly against his growing hardness, whispering naughty promises between hungry eyes while the floors ticked by too slowly.

The small space felt alive with their secret heat, fun and flirty and deliciously forbidden. Every stolen look, every accidental brush of fingers, every shared smirk crackled with wild, lovely anticipation. By the time the doors opened on the fifth floor, the promise of what was coming next hung between them like sweet, sinful fireworks waiting to explode.

Gordon stopped in front of the mahogany double doors of the penthouse suite, sliding a black keycard through the slot. The green light blinked with a satisfying click. He pushed the door open, stepping aside to let them pass into the dim, luxurious expanse of the room.

As Marvin ushered Beyoncé inside, he turned back to pull the door shut.

Standing in the hallway, the stoic bodyguard met his employer’s eyes. Without breaking his completely blank, professional expression, Gordon offered a single thumbs-up.

Beneath his black mask, Marvin’s wicked grin stretched from ear to ear.

He didn’t say a word. He just pulled the door shut until the deadbolt clicked, locking the rest of the world entirely out.

.....

...

..

.

The door clicked shut, sealing them into silence.

Beyoncé didn’t wait. The wide-brimmed hat, the oversized glasses, and the trench coat were shed in a matter of seconds, discarded onto a nearby armchair. She stepped toward the floor-to-ceiling windows, her five-foot-seven frame towering over the room, made even more monumental by the killer heels she wore. She looked like a goddess of honeyed skin and Texas thunder, a woman who had spent her entire youth being refined in the crucible of the music business. The Los Angeles humidity still clung to the waves cascading down her back, defying the suite’s cool climate control.

”Marvin,” she whispered. Her voice carried that unmistakable, rich alto cadence that had already captivated millions—a sound that could soothe an arena or command an empire with a single breath. She turned to face him, her eyes dark, heavy, and completely stripped of the pop-star facade. ”I’m done waiting. I’ve been ready. I’ve been yours since the exact moment you looked at me and spoke to me like I was a person, not a product.

He crossed the plush carpet toward her. His compact, five-foot-three frame meant he had to tilt his head to meet her gaze, but there wasn’t a single trace of submission in his posture. The possessive soul of the Incubus hummed beneath his skin, yet his love for women was the most human thing about him.

”Beyoncé,” he said, her name rolling off his tongue like a dark, holy vow. ”You know exactly what I am. You know what happens when I cross this line with you. Once I take you, once my mark is on you, no other man will ever be able to exist in your world. My possessive soul... it will never let you leave. It binds your body to me.”

She closed the remaining distance between them, her gaze unwavering. This was the same woman who had stared down predatory label heads and ironed out multi-million-dollar deals while other girls her age were going to prom.

”I know what you are, baby,” she murmured, her voice dropping to a husky, intimate purr. She reached out, her long fingers framing his sharp jawline, feeling the erratic pulse jumping beneath his skin.
