In return, she sent him a New Year’s gift to his estate on January 2nd. It was a beautiful book on classical musical theory she hunted down in an obscure Houston bookstore.

It embodied exactly the kind of thoughtful gift someone sends when they pay attention to who the recipient actually lives beneath the professional facade.

Inside the front cover, she wrote four simple words in her elegant handwriting.

*’You were right. Working.’*

It referred to the new album. The sophomore album Destiny’s Child built toward. It came together in the exact, brilliant ways she described over the phone, fueled by the energy of an artist.

He put the book in his collection.

The black Maybach picked her up at the Beverly Hills Hotel at exactly four-thirty in the afternoon.

She flew in from Houston the previous day.

Destiny’s Child held a booked recording session in Los Angeles serving as the ”official” professional reason for the timing of her trip.

However, the studio session hastily scheduled *after* Marvin’s Grammy invitation confirmed her as his plus-one, rather than before it. Both Columbia and Matthew saw this as a great promotion to walk the red carpet with Marvin and sit beside him in the biggest and most prestigious music awards.

She waited in the car before Marvin arrived. The vehicle made the hotel pickup first, before gliding silently up the winding roads to the San Marino estate.

When the rear door opened and Marvin slid into the leather interior, she already sat there.

They looked at each other across the back seat. The charged air crackled with the quality of two people conducting an intimate relationship almost entirely through late-night phone calls for nearly six months, now suddenly thrust back into the exact same physical space.

Beyoncé would soon turn eighteen, and She looked like a goddess wrapped in liquid moonlight. The stunning silver-beaded gown clung to her voluptuous curves like liquid starlight, every shimmering bead catching the low glow of the car and sliding teasingly over the swell of her full breasts, the dramatic dip of her waist, and the lush flare of her hips. The dress was a gift from him — one of many — and it fit her like a second skin, designed to worship every inch of the body it adorned. Her hair fell in rich, sweeping waves that begged to be tangled in fingers, framing a face so stunning it made his chest tighten. Full, glossy lips, warm brown eyes lined with smoky allure, and skin that glowed with a golden radiance. She was pure goddess energy — sensual, confident, and radiating the kind of magnetic femininity that made men forget their own names.

The years of industry work performed beautiful things to her face and figure. sharper cheekbones, softer, fuller lips, and a body that had blossomed into dangerous, fertile curves. Her breasts strained beautifully against the beaded fabric, her ass and thighs thick and inviting, every movement a hypnotic sway that promised heaven and delicious trouble.

Her figure is gradually growing into a more fuller incarnation that would ultimately characterize her post-pregnancy appearance.

She dressed with the kind of meticulous care people brought to occasions deeply mattering to their hearts.

”Hi,” she breathed, her voice low and husky, already laced with want.

Her eyes swept over his handsome face, his tailored Tom Ford tuxedo, and the intoxicating aura rolling off his skin.

”Hi. B,” Marvin murmured, his velvet voice low and warm. ”You look absolutely gorgeous in this dress. I was right... it was made for you.”

Then, completely bypassing any awkward, polite greetings, both of them reached across the seats and crashed into each other.

It provided a hug—the crushing embrace of someone waiting nearly six months to do it, and instantly deciding the social management of her expensive dress or his pressed suit mattered less than the physical gesture itself.

He let it happen fully. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close, burying his face in her hair, inhaling the sweet, intoxicating scent uniquely hers. He returned the hug with the possessive strength of the Incubus, making her gasp softly against his shoulder.

She practically climbed across the seat, and he pulled her in hard, wrapping arms around her waist and yanking her flush against his body. The expensive gown and his tailored tuxedo be damned — neither of them cared. Fabric wrinkled and beads shifted as she melted into him, pressing her soft, warm curves tightly to his hard chest.

His large hands roamed possessively down her back, sliding over the smooth beads until they settled on the generous curve of her ass, squeezing firmly and pulling her even closer. She gasped softly, a needy little sound that went straight to his groin, and arched into him, letting him feel every lush inch of her body

”Mmm, Marvin...” she moaned quietly against his ear, her breath hot. Her hands slid up his chest, fingers gripping his lapels as if she wanted to rip the tuxedo off right there. She did hold back — she wanted to feel him everywhere. Her thighs parted slightly as she pressed closer, grinding softly against the growing hardness she could feel beneath her.

He groaned low in his throat, the sound pure Incubus — dark, hungry, and completely unrestrained. One hand stayed possessively on her ass while the other tangled in her silky waves, gently tugging her head back so he could look at her flushed, beautiful face.

”You feel so good,” he growled against her lips, brushing them teasingly but not quite kissing her yet. ”Six months, B. I’ve been missing you, this mouth, the way you sound when you’re needy for me...”

She smiled, radiant and wicked, then swung one leg over and settled fully into his lap, straddling him right there in the moving car. The gown rode up her smooth thighs as she sank down, her full breasts pressing against his chest, her hips rolling in a slow, teasing grind that made them both breathe heavier. His hands explored greedily — sliding up her waist, tracing the underside of her breasts through the shimmering fabric, thumbs brushing over the hardened peaks that begged for attention.

”I missed you so much,” she whispered, lips grazing his jaw, then his neck. She kissed and nipped at his skin, savoring the taste of him while her hands roamed under his jacket, feeling the heat and muscle beneath. ”I don’t care about the dress... I just want to feel you all over me.”

He chuckled darkly, the sound vibrating through her body, and cupped her face with both hands, finally claiming her mouth in a deep, devouring kiss. It was wet, passionate, and filthy-sweet — tongues dancing, lips sucking, soft moans spilling between them as the car glided through Los Angeles traffic. She rocked against him slowly, savoring the delicious friction, while his hands squeezed and caressed every curve he could reach.

When they finally broke for air, she stayed in his lap, forehead pressed to his, both of them smiling and breathing hard.

”You look different,” she murmured, tracing his sharper jawline with a fingertip.

”Different how?” he asked, voice rough with lust, hands still kneading her ass possessively.

”Older... sexier. More dangerous.” She bit her lip, eyes sparkling with mischief and desire. ”Marvin. You look... incredible.”

Their relationship had deepened naturally over the past year, moving well beyond the early dating stages into a comfortable, trusting partnership where open communication and affection came easily. Even during their recent time apart, they stayed close through frequent phone calls filled with the kind of playful, intimate dirty talk that had become normal for them.

Now that they were together again, that easy familiarity was clear in their warm glances and touches; for Beyoncé and Marvin, this was simply part of their healthy, passionate connection—two people who knew and desired each other deeply, with no awkwardness, just genuine excitement and love it was the same with Jessica.

”I know what you mean,” he smiled, a dark, dimpled smirk playing on his lips. ”The Asia trip. The corporate wars. They age a man.”

”I saw the photographs from Tokyo in the group,” she said, her thumb gently tracing the silk lapel of his jacket. ”You looked—” she searched for the exact right word. ”You looked so powerful. Cold. In control. It made me so wet just seeing them.”

”Billion-dollar business meetings tend to require a serious face, B.”

”You *always* look serious outside,” she countered with a fond smile. ”But in those photographs, it felt like a different kind of serious. Like... the weight of the entire world sat on your shoulders. And you carried it easily.”

He looked at her.

”Yes,” he admitted softly, reaching up to gently cup her cheek, his thumb brushing over her cheekbone. ”The weight of it. But right now? With you grinding on me like this? The only weight I feel is how badly I want to ruin this pretty dress and worship every inch of you.”

A brilliant, radiant blush colored her cheeks.

She laughed softly, the sound bright and joyful, then kissed him again — slower this time, deeper, full of love and raw hunger. Her fingers played with his tie while her hips continued their lazy, teasing circles.

The Maybach rolled smoothly toward the Shrine Auditorium, but inside the car, time had collapsed. Months of distance vanished into pure fire. They talked between kisses and touches — playful teasing, whispered filthy compliments, and soft admissions of how much they’d missed each other’s presence. Her hands stayed on his chest, feeling his heartbeat, while his fingers traced lazy patterns on her thighs and waist, occasionally slipping higher just to hear her breath hitch.

....

...

..

.

The Maybach moved smoothly through the Los Angeles afternoon toward the Shrine Auditorium. The five months presenting a massive gap in their proximity instantly compressed. It collapsed back into the easy, electric closeness of two people talking to each other continuously through the dark, now simply back in the exact same space where the magic started.

Neither wanted the ride to end. But It didn’t take long to reach their destination.

They emerged from the car together at the drop-off zone with her arms warped around his biceps. She was glowing, slightly disheveled, lips kiss-swollen and eyes bright with shared secrets.

The Grammy’s red carpet immediately did what red carpets do when something entirely unexpected arrives on them—it reorganises its attention.

Beyoncé Knowles, the rapidly rising, gorgeous R&B black star, and Marvin Meyers, Hollywood’s undisputed Wonder Boy, currently part of the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time, arriving at the Grammy Awards walking hand-in-hand did not represent something the entertainment press anticipated.

The shock of the pairing made the paparazzi’s response to it more concentrated, frantic, and deafening than a planned, PR-managed arrival would have ever produced. It possessed the coveted texture of something genuinely unscripted. The flashbulbs fired like a strobe-light hurricane.

She remained composed in the way she always remained composed in public—the unbreakable self-possession of someone performing since childhood. She developed a relationship with blinding camera attention that felt neither anxious nor artificially performative, but simply present.

But holding Marvin’s arm as they walked the crimson carpet held a quality of being entirely deliberate rather than habitual. The choice felt proudly visible in her posture, which provided its own form of communication to the world.

He walked the carpet beside her with the unhurried quality forming his baseline public register.

The first camera crew they stopped at belonged to *Entertainment Tonight*.

”Beyoncé! Marvin! My goodness, you two arrived together tonight! You look so cute together! ” the frantic interviewer gasped, shoving a microphone toward them. ”Is this an official confirmation? Are you—”

”We’re here together,” Beyoncé answered smoothly. She cut off the tabloid trap with the warmth of someone deciding exactly how much of this narrative to offer, and offering it cleanly. ”We’ve been very close friends for a while now.”

”Friends,” the interviewer repeated, raising a skeptical eyebrow. He employed the tone of someone noting the word clearly functioned in a context suggesting it might not form the complete vocabulary.

”Great friends,” Marvin corrected smoothly. His velvet voice dripped with a teasing charm as he looked up at her.

Beyoncé looked down at him with the expression she had developed exclusively for his arrogant deflections—the one simultaneously deeply fond, blushing, and slightly exasperated.

”He’s very, very specific with his words,” she told the interviewer, rolling her eyes playfully.

”I am always specific with my words, B,” Marvin noted, a dimple flashing in his cheek.

”And that is exactly what makes it so incredibly annoying,” she laughed warmly, gently bumping her shoulder against his arm.

The interviewer laughed, completely charmed by the chemistry between the two teenagers while thinking of wild lines for tomorrow’s headlines. ”Marvin, you have four nominations tonight. *’My Heart Will Go On’* is certified Diamond, *’Unstoppable’* spent five weeks at number one... how are you feeling walking into this room tonight?”
