She blinked, searching his incredibly calm expression. ”You’re really not worried about him?”

Marvin let out a dark chuckle that rumbled beautifully against her chest. ”About Mathew? No.”

”Marvin, you don’t understand, he can be—”

”Bey,” he interrupted, his voice infinitely gentle but carrying the weight of a titan. ”I have locked George R.R. Martin in a room and dictated global publication timelines to him. I have stared Harvey Weinstein dead in the eyes and stripped him of creative control over a half-billion-dollar franchise. I promise you, I can handle drinking a cup of coffee with your father.”

She stared at him, and then a helpless, breathless laugh tumbled from her lips, breaking the tension entirely. ”Those are very different kinds of monsters, Marvin.”

”Are they?” he mused, a wicked glint in his eye.

”Yes! My dad isn’t just some ruthless studio head pulling strings. He’s doing all of this because he cares deeply about his daughter,” she explained softly. Her Texas drawl wavered slightly, carrying the fragile, defensive weight of a girl who had been conditioned her entire life to confuse suffocating, relentless pressure with love, desperately trying to justify the transactional nature of her own father’s affection.

”So do I, B,” Marvin replied.

His voice was a low, devastatingly tender hum that bypassed her meticulously built armor and instantly quieted her anxious nervous system.

He reached out, his thumb gently brushing the tense line of her jaw, offering a sanctuary that demanded nothing in return.

”But his care requires you to bleed for an stage to prove your worth,” Marvin whispered, his glowing blue eyes locking onto hers with an unshakeable love. ”My care is just for you. You could lose your voice tomorrow, the crowds could disappear, and every spotlight could burn out. None of that is why I love having you in my life. It’s you I’d love, not the star.”

The words didn’t just hang in the air; they landed in the plush interior of the Maybach like a physical weight. The playful banter evaporated instantly.

Both of them stopped breathing. The quiet in the car suddenly felt vibrating, charged with a profound, terrifying vulnerability. Marvin didn’t look away, and he didn’t try to dress the statement up in a joke. He let the raw, unapologetic truth of his love for her sit between them, an immovable mountain.

A deep, beautiful flush rushed to her cheeks. Overwhelmed by the intensity of his gaze and the safety of his arms, she retreated just a fraction, needing to catch her breath before she completely drowned in him.

”Four Grammys,” she whispered, her voice trembling with affection as she glanced down at the golden hardware resting on the leather seat next to them.

”Four,” he confirmed, willing to let her shift the subject, as psychology is not something that could be rushed in her situation, though his eyes never left her face..

”And Lauryn Hill took everything else.”

”She deserved every single one of them,” he repeated without a drop of bitterness.

She smiled, shaking her head with fond exasperation. ”You are going to stubbornly defend her sweeps forever, aren’t you?”

”Because it’s the truth,” he promised, finally leaning back slightly, though he kept her flush against his chest. ”*The Miseducation* is a cultural masterpiece. My tracks are massive pop hits. Both of those realities can exist in the same room, B.”

She shook her head, thoroughly defeated by his endless grace and quiet arrogance.

They stayed like that for a long while — tangled together, whispering sweet nothings, sharing soft laughs and even softer kisses. The

Maybach continued its smooth journey through Los Angeles, but time inside the car felt suspended, warm, and perfect. Beyoncé’s fingers played gently with the hair at the nape of his neck while Marvin traced invisible patterns on her skin, both of them soaking in the simple joy of being close.

Every now and then she would pull back just enough to look at him, smiling like he was the most wonderful thing she’d ever seen, before leaning in to steal another tender kiss.

The luxury car began to slow, the tires crunching softly against the crushed gravel of the palm-lined driveway. The iconic, glowing lights of the Beverly Hills Hotel bled through the windows, painting her silver dress in pale gold.

”This is my stop,” she whispered softly, suddenly feeling the agonizing weight of the impending separation. She didn’t make a move to climb off his lap.

”I know.”

She turned fully to look at him. In the shadowed privacy of the backseat, with the Grammys forgotten beside them and the noise of Hollywood safely locked outside, the polished pop-star armor fell away completely. She was just a girl looking at the boy she was hopelessly in love with.

”I missed you,” she whispered, her voice cracking slightly. She stripped the sentiment bare, offering it to him without any defensive walls.

”I know,” Marvin murmured back. He reached up, threading his fingers deep into her hair and pulling her face down to his. ”I missed you too, B.”

She closed the final distance and kissed him.

It carried the exact same breathtaking quality as the kiss in the dark karaoke room and the one at the top of the Ferris wheel — but this time it burned hotter, deeper, and far more possessive. It was genuine, unhurried, and achingly sweet, yet laced with the raw hunger of two bodies who had been circling each other all day and could no longer hold back.

Beyoncé’s full, soft lips pressed against his with deliberate hunger. The kiss started slow and tender, but quickly deepened as she parted her lips and slid her warm, wet tongue into his mouth. Marvin met her instantly, his tongue welcoming hers in a slow, sensual dance — sliding, twisting, and exploring every inch of her mouth with wet hunger. Their tongues tangled deeply, stroking and caressing each other in long, slippery strokes that filled the quiet space with soft, obscene wet sounds.

Thick strings of saliva quickly formed and stretched between their lips whenever they briefly parted for air, only for them to crash back together even more greedily. Beyoncé moaned softly into his mouth, the vibration traveling straight through both of them as she poured every ounce of her affection and awakening desire into the kiss. Saliva coated their lips and chins, making the kiss deliciously messy and intimate.

Their hands were everywhere at once. Beyoncé’s fingers roamed boldly over Marvin’s shoulders, chest, and neck, sliding under the collar of his shirt to caress his bare skin. She pulled him closer, her full breasts pressing firmly against his chest, the soft weight squishing deliciously between them with every breath. Marvin’s hands answered in kind — one deep into her thick hair to hold her in place, the other sliding down her back to grip the generous curve of her waist and hip, then boldly cupping the lush swell of her ass through her clothes. He squeezed and kneaded the soft, juicy flesh, pulling her body flush against his so she could feel every hard line of him.

They kissed like lovers who had all the time in the world and none at all — deep, wet, tongue-filled kisses that left them both breathless and flushed. Their mouths moved together in perfect rhythm, tongues thrusting and exploring, saliva freely exchanging in hot, messy strings that dripped down their chins. Beyoncé’s hips shifted subtly against him, her thighs brushing his as she pressed even closer, completely lost in the intoxicating taste and feel of him.

When they finally pulled back, it was slow and reluctant. A glistening strand of mixed saliva still connected their swollen lips for a moment before it broke. Beyoncé’s brown eyes were heavy-lidded with raw affection and dark desire, her chest heaving, lips parted and glistening with their shared wetness. Her hands remained on his chest, fingers gently stroking his skin as she tried to catch her breath.

”It’s a date,” she whispered.

”It’s a date,” he agreed, his voice a low rumble.

”Same as last time?”

”The 42nd Annual Grammy Awards next year,” Marvin promised, his thumb brushing her lower lip. ”I’ll have the full album released by then.”

She smiled—the full, radiant one that lit up her entire face.

”I know you will,” she said softly. She looked at the door, then back to him, her fingers curling tightly into his lapels.

”Come upstairs,” she had whispered, a quiet, desperate plea. ”I’m not ready to let you go yet.”

Marvin didn’t immediately move. The slow caress of his hand against her bare spine stilled.

He looked up at her, and the warmth that usually danced in his nebula-blue eyes was instantly eclipsed by a gravity so profound it seemed to pull the oxygen straight out of the car.

The playful arrogance of the boy genius vanished entirely. In his place sat the territorial creature beneath the skin—an apex predator staring up at the one of many women he cherished above the world itself.

He knew exactly what she was asking. He also knew the all-consuming depths of the fire she was inviting into her bed.

”B,” he murmured, his voice dropping into a raw, gravelly register that sent a shiver down her thighs. His hands tightened on her hips, anchoring her against him. ”Are you sure?”

It wasn’t a question born of hesitation. It was a final check of consent—a warning that once they crossed this specific threshold, the careful boundaries he maintained to keep her safe from his darker, supernatural appetites would be completely burned away.

Beyoncé didn’t shrink under the intensity of his gaze. Instead, the heat in her dark eyes flared, melting away the very last remnants of the composed, elegant pop-star she had played all evening.

She shifted her weight, deliberately settling deeper into his lap. The friction of her silk gown sliding against his tailored trousers drew a sharp, barely contained breath from his chest.

She reached up, framing his impossibly handsome face with both hands, her thumbs fiercely stroking the sharp angle of his jaw.

”I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life than I am of this,” she breathed, her voice thick, husky, and vibrating with absolute certainty.

She felt the tremor that ripped through his solid frame—the physical manifestation of a monster holding his restraint by a single, fraying thread.

She smiled. It was a wicked, deeply feminine smile that knew exactly how much absolute power she held over the most dangerous entity in Los Angeles.

”Now,” she whispered, her lips brushing teasingly against his mouth with every syllable, ”be the gorgeous, bastard devil that I love, and stop ruining the mood.”

With those words, Beyoncé didn’t wait for his permission.

Her fingers twisted violently into the lapels of his tuxedo jacket as she pulled him fiercely into a bruising, hungry kiss. Six months of longing, late-night confessions, and aching distance exploded between them in that single moment.

The last thread of Marvin’s restraint snapped.

With a low, deep growl that vibrated straight into her chest, his arms locked around her waist like iron bands, pulling her impossibly closer. He kissed her back with sudden, devastating hunger — his mouth claiming hers completely. It wasn’t gentle or patient. It was raw, consuming, and full of everything they had held back for so long. Their lips moved together with fierce passion, parting wider as their tongues met in a deep, sensual dance. The taste of him — dark, intoxicating, laced with champagne and that unmistakable magnetic warmth — made her head spin and her heart race wildly.

Beyoncé moaned softly into his mouth, her body melting against his as she poured every ounce of hunger of him into the kiss. Her fingers slid up into his hair, gripping tightly as if afraid he might disappear. Marvin’s hands roamed possessively over her back, one sliding up to cradle the nape of her neck while the other pressed firmly against the curve of her waist.

He broke the kiss just long enough for them to catch a ragged breath, their foreheads pressed together, lips brushing with every exhale. Then his mouth slid aggressively down her jaw, leaving a trail of hot, open-mouthed kisses along her neck. He bit gently at the sensitive skin just below her ear, sucking lightly enough to leave a faint mark before soothing it with his tongue. Beyoncé gasped, her head tilting back to give him better access, a soft, needy sound escaping her lips.

”Marvin...” she whispered breathlessly, her voice trembling with emotion and desire. ”I’ve wanted this for so long... tonight you and me, like this.”

He answered by capturing her lips again in another deep, soul-stirring kiss — slower this time, but no less passionate. Their tongues moved together in perfect rhythm, savoring each other as if they had all the time in the world and yet not enough.
