Linda looked surprised, covering her mouth. ”Oh! Was it?”

Frank sat proudly at the sweetheart table in the first row with his new wife. He nodded silently. He grumbled bitterly in his own mind, ’Yes, I heard it perfectly clearly, Sister. You go way too far! It’s my wedding day, let me be the handsome one for five minutes!’

Eleanor sat on the other side of Grant. She covered her mouth with a napkin and laughed softly. She did not forget to rub a little extra salt into her son’s wounded ego.

”Linda is right, Frank,” Eleanor teased gently. ”Marvin is undeniably the most handsome man in the entire Meyers and Heath family tree! Don’t you agree, Kris?”

Kris laughed a bright, bell-like laugh. She rested her hand on Frank’s arm to comfort him. ”Is this even a question worth seriously discussing at the dinner table? Mom, he’s going to break more hearts in our family than anyone else ever could. Just look at the national television ratings of the Lakers game last week! The exact moment the camera panned over and he came onto the screen, the Nielsen ratings went through the roof. And for a whole week afterward, the media kept reporting on his face and his song.”

”Um, yes! Absolutely!” Miranda immediately chimed in, nodding in eager agreement from her seat next to the bride.

Frank dramatically covered his heart with his hand. He looked exactly as if his own family had just stabbed him ten thousand times.

He regretted his choices now. He realized, with sinking dread, that he would genuinely rather ask those loud, crude, rotten frat boys to speak today, than have Marvin effortlessly steal his hard-earned limelight just by existing in a white tuxedo.

Frank’s eyes drifted nervously toward the stands holding the extended family and friends. Even he couldn’t help but admit the truth in his mind: ’The kid is indeed too handsome for his own good!’

As his body developed and matured, Marvin’s subtle, magical adjustments to his own physical framework and facial features began to show their profound results. As long as he stood perfectly still in a room, the eyes of the surrounding people involuntarily attracted directly to him. No matter how deeply he attempted to hide in a crowded room, people always saw him at a single glance. He radiated an otherworldly beauty even without using his aura. He stood out.

In human society, concepts of being ”handsome” and ”good-looking” remain highly subjective, personal perceptions. To a rational extent, no objective distinction between superior and inferior beauty among attractive people exists.

Just like Marvin is currently, undeniably handsome. But strictly declaring that he is more ”handsome” than a young Leonardo DiCaprio is not technically accurate in a vacuum. When raw human beauty reaches an elite tier, the mathematical distinction between superior and inferior facial structure ceases to exist.

The defining difference—the element making Marvin mesmerizing—remained the aura of his presence. It played a dominating role in how others perceived him. He possessed the ability to project the aura of a cold, ruthless, omniscient CEO to his business deals, demanding their submission. Yet, in the next breath, he could project the aura of a warm, charming, handsome lover to the women in his life, pulling their heartstrings. It depended entirely on how he consciously chose to project his presence in that specific second and it’s just scratching the surface of his aura perception!

However, his soul painstakingly, magically adjusted Marvin’s physical facial features and body proportions according to the exact mathematical golden ratio of 1.0. This flawless symmetry gave people looking at him a deeply coordinated, comfortable, almost hypnotic feeling. It proved the profound beauty making you desperately want to watch him again immediately after seeing him, and yet, it never offended the eye.

Strictly speaking within the Hollywood system, this flawless, god-like temperament actually harms a versatile acting career. It harms a long-term filmography, making an actor’s performances visually look exactly the same to the audience, regardless of the character they play.

Take Leonardo DiCaprio as a prime example. For years, the handsome actor played every role looking exactly like the charming Leonardo DiCaprio. This represents the tragic, artistic disadvantage of being too handsome; the audience cannot separate the beautiful actor from the gritty character.

In order to finally gain serious, dramatic Oscar recognition from the Academy in the future, DiCaprio will force physical punishment on his body. He will gain heavy weight, grow a scraggly beard, and destroy his appearance.

After successfully destroying his beauty and turning himself into a gruff, weathered fat man, he will finally get his lifelong wish in 2016. He will win the Best Actor Oscar for his gritty role as Hugh Glass in *The Revenant*.

But Marvin doesn’t have to worry about this artistic limitation; he lives as a demon, and an Incubus at that. He operates as a fluid, ever-changing entity of Desire and lust.

His current physical true form simply provides a normalized, baseline image of himself maintained for society. But through the subtle manipulation of his aura and micro-expressions, he effortlessly becomes any image he wants or needs to be for the situation at hand.

He could project the image of Handsome Marvin for the red carpets. Evil, Ruthless Marvin for the banking negotiations in Tokyo. Calm, Stoic Marvin for the paparazzi. Innocent, Boyish Marvin for his mother. Upright, Honorable Marvin for the press. Insidious, Manipulative Marvin for his enemies. Cute, Playful, Down to Earth Marvin for his fans. Sexy, Devoted Lover Marvin for Jessica and Beyoncé. Caring, Protective Marvin for Lindsay. Wild and Cute Marvin for Diana. Fucking Marvin, Beast Marvin in the dark, and Lustful Marvin when the magic demanded to feed.

He remained a mirror, reflecting the deepest desires of whoever looked at him.

Right now, standing on the stage under the Californian sun, holding the microphone and looking out at the wedding guests, he played the Charming, Loving Nephew.

Marvin tapped the microphone. The feedback echoed softly across the silent lawn.

”Good afternoon, everyone,” Marvin began. His velvet voice wrapped around the crowd like a warm embrace. ”For those of you who don’t know me, I am Marvin Meyers. And despite what my uncle Frank might have nervously told you during the cocktail hour... I promise I am not here to ruin his moment today.”

”Maybe most of you already know me, and some of you might have come today to stare at me. And yes, before the rumors start at the open bar, I am exactly the genius the media boasts about!”

A burst of warm, relieved laughter erupted across the manicured lawn. The ice broke instantly.

”I am Frank’s nephew,” Marvin continued, pacing slowly across the wooden stage, perfectly at ease. ”I want to sincerely thank everyone for coming out to celebrate his wedding. I also want to specifically thank the somewhat average-looking Frank, and the undeniably beautiful Kris, for hosting this incredible event.”

He paused, a wicked gleam in his eye. ”And a special thanks to average Frank for asking me to be his best man. Because frankly, looking at the groom’s side of the aisle, I was the only option that guaranteed the wedding photos would belong in a magazine.”

Another loud burst of laughter rolled through the white tents. This one accompanied a few playful boos from Frank’s college buddies sitting in the back rows. Frank just shook his head, burying his face in his hands, though he smiled.

”Frank and I are old friends. We’ve known each other for thirteen years,” Marvin said, his tone softening. ”Yes, mathematically speaking, that is to say, I have known him for my entire life.”

Another ripple of fond laughter followed.

”We all lived together in Los Angeles. And every single year, right around the holidays, Uncle Frank would come back to visit us... um... with a brand-new girlfriend.”

The crowd roared. Kris playfully slapped Frank’s arm at the sweetheart table. Frank winced, mouthing *’I told you not to mess around’* at Marvin, who completely ignored him.

”Every year, without fail,” Marvin recounted, leaning against the microphone stand.

”Sometimes, he would pull me aside into the kitchen and secretly ask me for relationship advice. He would whisper, *’Hey, Marvin, what do you think of Maria? Hey, Marvin, honestly, what do you think of Sheila? Or Talia? Or Max?’*”

Marvin effortlessly dropped his voice an octave, perfectly imitating Frank’s nervous, eager tone of voice. The uncanny impression caused even more explosive laughter.

”Usually, I would just look at him and say, *’No good, Frank. Just dump her!’*” Marvin pointed a finger directly at Frank, who now laughed too hard to protest. ”I mean, Frank, seriously, what did you expect from me? I was less than ten years old at the time! All the adult women I ever met, entirely outside my immediate family, were my elementary school teachers. What kind of sophisticated dating advice did you honestly think I could give you?”

The laughter continued, infectious and bright. ”But...” Marvin’s voice dropped, the comedic timing shifting into something genuine. ”It felt different the day he brought Kris here to the house.”

He looked directly at the bride.

”She looks so normal... and yet, she acts so completely abnormal when she’s around him!”

A wave of affectionate laughter rippled through the guests.

”So, I pulled him aside, and I said, *’Come on, Frank. This is the one. Take her home and don’t mess it up.’*” Marvin pointed at Frank again. ”Thank God, I am so incredibly glad you finally followed my advice for once in your life.”

Frank laughed loudly and scolded him from the table. ”Please! It was obviously me who wanted to marry Kris! You arrogant kid, please don’t try to take credit for my own marriage!”

Marvin waved his hand dismissively. ”That detail is not important, Frank. What is important is the final result. If the result proves good, then the advice proved good.”

Another burst of laughter.

Marvin straightened up, looking out over the crowd. ”Finally, I want to give a public message to the groom: Frank, please, never ask me to be your romantic adviser ever again. At least wait until I legally reach adulthood.”

The whole room burst into a heavy fit of laughter, the tension completely gone.

”Wait, cross out that last sentence. It’s not over yet. Please pause the laughter,” Marvin requested smoothly, holding up a hand.

The laughter died down, replaced by a warm, attentive silence.

When the room grew quiet, the magnetic aura of the Incubus flared softly. It projected a wave of sincerity touching the heart of every person listening. Marvin looked directly at Frank and Kris, his eyes glowing in the late afternoon sun.

”Frank, Kris... this is the last thing I want to say to you today,” Marvin began. His velvet voice wrapped around the newlyweds.

”Congratulations. Frank, you finally made the most brilliant decision in your entire life. You changed yourself for the better because you met Kris. And Kris, you bravely traveled thousands of miles to come to the United States just to be with him.”

He paused, letting the weight of the moment settle.

”True love is not an easy thing to maintain in this world. It requires constant, relentless work. Sometimes, loving someone can be the hardest thing you will ever do, because it demands that you surrender your own armor. But I hope you can always cherish this fate, and protect each other. I sincerely hope that you both can build a perfect, unshakeable life together.”

The silence in the tent was profound. The guests looked at the thirteen-year-old boy, stunned by the depth, maturity, and emotional gravity of the speech. It served as a stark reminder of exactly how grown-up he truly lived beneath the surface.

”Thank you,” Marvin said simply, lowering the microphone.

Warm, deafening applause immediately rang out across the lawn.

”What a great guy!” Frank shouted, his eyes suspiciously wet. He stood up excitedly, knocking his chair back, and clapped harder than anyone else in the room.

The wedding concluded successfully without any further surprises. The reception provided a joyous, drunken affair lasting long into the night. During the time they spent together, Marvin and Miranda developed a closer bound, sharing many moments filled with laughter and deep conversations. While hanging out at the garden Marvin showing his horse, Miranda opened up to Marvin about something on her mind.

She shared how one of her closest friends, who looked forward to attending the wedding, unfortunately couldn’t make it. This friend expressed a strong desire to meet Marvin and learn all about him, intrigued by Miranda’s stories of their relationship.

She felt curious about the opulence of the wedding, which Miranda described in vivid detail, highlighting the luxurious decorations, the extravagant venue, and the exciting atmosphere that was going to have. It became clear that Miranda felt a sense of loss over her friend’s absence.
