Reborn As Super Heiress

What is this little guy up to?!

Huo Sining felt like a monk trying to figure out a puzzle in her head. She wanted to ask more questions, but Qibao didn’t want to tell her anything, constantly changing the subject. Huo Sining had no choice but to let him be.

After the auction was finished, Huo Sining didn’t linger in the Imperial Capital. She directly took Qibao and Heitan back to S City. While boarding, Huo Sining casually picked up an entertainment daily from the airport waiting room and started reading. She then spotted a striking piece of news on one of its pages.

—— Xinghui in turmoil, due to issues with the Chinese New Year Gala performance, An Rong and a female star with the surname Wu might face unilateral termination from the company.

The news wasn’t very long, but the reporter thoroughly analyzed the situation of Xinghui terminating An Rong and the Wu-named star, concluding that Xinghui had to sacrifice them to appease the director Han Wen’s anger over the Chinese New Year Gala.

Finding such news, Huo Sining laughed to herself and shook her head slightly.

The reporter’s analysis seemed logical, but it just dissected the most surface level aspects. The real reason Xinghui severed ties with An Rong and Wu Jingyi definitely wasn’t that. Ultimately, it was probably due to those blemishes on their faces ruining their paths to stardom.

The itching powder Huo Sining used on An Rong and Wu Jingyi would naturally heal within half a month without medication. If they endured it, the itch would stop, and the bumps would fade.

But if they couldn’t resist scratching their faces or bodies, then too bad, they would certainly leave scars of varying shades that can only be removed through cosmetic surgery.

However, when the itching powder kicks in, no one can withstand the itchiness. Unless you restrain yourself completely, you can’t fight the urge to scratch. So, Huo Sining assumed, after half a month of suffering, An Rong and Wu Jingyi’s faces wouldn’t be presentable.

Given this, An Rong and Wu Jingyi would find it difficult to act or appear in public. Xinghui isn’t stupid; the most valuable asset of a star is their face. Now that their faces look like the lunar surface, climbing further up is basically impossible. Not earning money makes them a liability, so of course, Xinghui would immediately drop them to save resources for other artists.

Huo Sining understood the real reason behind Xinghui’s actions instantly, but she didn’t feel sorry for An Rong and Wu Jingyi. They destroyed many obstacles to rise to power, and now they face karma. Huo Sining wouldn’t be saintly enough to sympathize with two malicious women who wanted to harm her.

Despite reading the news, Huo Sining didn’t dwell on it, and after returning to S City with Qibao, she asked Su Zhenhua for help to settle Qibao’s residency registration. A little money and some gifts secured Qibao’s registration under her name.

Thankfully, problems solvable with money aren’t big problems; it reflects the indifferent societal attitudes where money can make things happen.

With the residency settled, Huo Sining got busy contacting schools for Qibao. Hushan Villa had a nearby primary school, located beside S University and also branded as an S University Attached Primary School. Staff and school amenities were decent, not far from the villa, and came with a school slot allocation. Naturally, Huo Sining chose this school without hesitation, found the principal to help, and enrolled Qibao in the first grade.

Initially, Huo Sining worried Qibao might get lost, so she handled pick-up and drop-off herself after school started. But after a few runs, Qibao resisted.

Although reluctant, Huo Sining couldn’t argue with Qibao. Thankfully, the school provided shuttle services for drop-off and pick-up, with the bus arriving punctually at Hushan Villa’s entrance. Qibao only needed to walk a short distance out of the community to catch the bus, which proved convenient.

S City is a big city, unlike H Province’s Miao Village villages. Kids here receive advanced education, going to kindergarten at two or three.

Moreover, most parents spend considerable money enrolling their kids in youth centers for supplemental classes and special interest courses, filling their spare time to the brim. Naturally, this means the children’s qualities are far superior to village kids who start first grade at eight or nine.

Since Yan Feng previously told Huo Sining that Qibao was like a child of five or six, she guessed he probably hadn’t experienced preschool education, causing some concern over whether he could keep up with other kids. Unexpectedly, after a week, during the school’s initial test, the child scored first place, earning perfect marks across all subjects including language, math, English, and even receiving praise from teachers for his craft and practical activities.

This left Huo Sining both surprised and amazed. At home, she rarely managed Qibao directly, partly due to her lack of childcare experience and partly because she believed kids should have more free time to explore and express themselves.

Thus, for Qibao’s academics, Huo Sining had only one requirement: timely completion of homework assigned by teachers. Extra classes or interest courses were optional; he could join if he wanted or skip them if he didn’t feel like it. Playing video games, watching TV at home wasn’t discouraged either.

Generally, after school, Qibao dutifully completed his homework before doing anything else, showing great self-discipline in this aspect.

After acing the exams, Huo Sining obviously celebrated him. She especially prepared a table full of good dishes, even inviting Su Qingqing and Bai Yishan to join the celebration. Each brought gifts to congratulate the little gentleman, marking the first time Qibao received presents, making him very happy.

With the preliminary test done, Huo Sining and Qibao settled into a routine, but unexpectedly, Huo Sining soon received a surprising call.

The call came from Qibao’s subject teacher and class teacher, saying that because Qibao was too smart, she suspected his intelligence far surpassed his actual age, urging Huo Sining to take him to a testing center to assess his IQ level.

Initially, Huo Sining thought the teacher was joking. In her mind, Qibao always stayed in the Miao Village, never undergoing formal education. Although he sometimes acted differently from peers, being mischievous and lively, most of the time he behaved like a very well-behaved child. How could he possibly be as described by the teacher, a high-IQ prodigy?
