Reborn As Super Heiress

Xie Daoyuan nodded and said to the expert, ”Let’s hear what Huo Sining has to say! You all go try first, if it doesn’t work out, come back!”

The group followed Huo Sining to find that place, and Xie Daoyuan watched as Huo Sining’s figure disappeared from view. Only then did he stare blankly at the pile of A4 paper on the ground for a while, and then asked, ”What did she do when she went down the theft tunnel?”

Ji Kun described Huo Sining’s strange behavior, and Xie Daoyuan’s eyes lit up with a kind of blazing brilliance, sighing:

”It seems I still misjudged. Xiao Ji, your mentor is still the smart one. When I first met Huo Sining, I felt that there was more to her than meets the eye, but I ultimately underestimated her! Ten years for seeking dragons, a hundred for acupoint sealing. Learning to seek dragons is already no easy task, let alone acupoint sealing. This girl’s ability to grasp the knack of acupoint sealing at such a young age... What kind of legendary figure is her mentor?”

Ji Kun did not pick up on the undertone in Professor Xie’s words, but he was aware of ”ten years seeking dragons, a hundred years acupoint sealing.” He couldn’t believe that Huo Sining, by merely surveying casually, could draft the structure of the tomb chamber. It turns out that the rumored Feng Shui Masters really do exist.

”She claims she is from the Southern Gate, truly overestimating the skills of the Southern Gate.”

Xie Daoyuan’s mouth showed a slight smile: ”I know the leader of the Southern Faction; although he knows the techniques of seeking dragons and acupoint sealing, his skills are not fully developed, and he is far behind this Huo girl. Her skills remind me of someone I knew over twenty years ago, whose ability to locate tombs was extraordinary, using wind and rain hearing, thunder sound discerning, grass color, and soil mark observations to determine burial sites.”

”Using wind hearing and rain discerning to determine tomb locations?” Yang Xiaohan beside him was astonished.

Xie Daoyuan nodded, with a hint of admiration in his eyes: ”At that time, I was just an apprentice, following my mentor and a private archaeological team to the Kunlun Mountain to find tombs. We searched for days without success. Just when we thought we had the wrong clues, the team leader invited that person over.”

”Despite being in his early twenties, for being so young, almost no one believed he was a Feng Shui Master.”

It was just a thunderstorm then, and he decisively instructed our team to spread out, observe the thunder and lightning in various directions, and memorized the traits to report back to him.”

”After the rain stopped, he stood at a high point to observe Feng Shui, and having listened to our reports, he immediately pinpointed the location of the ancient tomb, leading us to the place, and indeed found an imperial tomb there.”

Feng Shui is not pseudo-science; though it sounds mysterious, it is not without reason, there is some foundation to it.

In ancient times, royal tomb burials were chosen as Feng Shui treasure sites by Feng Shui Masters.

To Feng Shui Masters, true Feng Shui treasure sites are ”water encircled” and ”mountain encircled.” The so-called mountain embraced by water signifies prosperity and abundance.

In Feng Shui geographical configurations, these places typically mean tranquility and wealth, making them ideal locations for emperors and generals’ tombs.

Moreover, during surveys, Feng Shui Masters not only examine configurations but also apply observation, listening, inquiring, and inspection to discern authenticity.

The fillings and items accompanying ancient burials vary greatly; thus, each dynasty’s tomb appears differently. Tombs in the Qin and Han periods often had watermarks filled, and cinnabar used for preservation; tombs after Tang and Song had green plaster on the outside.

Due to special materials in the tombs, the growth of plants outside varies and may emit unique smells.

Those smells might be hard for ordinary people to detect, but Feng Shui Masters can keenly distinguish those unique scents.

This is why Feng Shui Masters can accurately determine the position of graves through hearing wind and rain, discerning thunder sounds, observing grass color, and soil marks.

In fact, many universities offer ancient Feng Shui survey courses in archaeology departments now, developed from Feng Shui Masters’ numerous verifications, yet they aren’t top-tier Feng Shui knowledge.

Many Feng Shui Masters are unwilling to share their life’s research; archaeology isn’t exactly Feng Shui surveying. Professionally speaking, archaeologists aren’t necessarily Feng Shui Masters; even Professor Xie isn’t adept at finding graves and needs to hire professional Feng Shui Masters for field tomb searches.

Mastering dragon seeking and acupoint sealing is extremely challenging, achieving pinpoint accuracy is even harder; many Feng Shui Masters spend their lives failing to comprehend its wonders.

Huo Sining casually surveyed and drafted the entire tomb structure, clearly demonstrating her expertise is significantly advanced.

Professor Xie was incredibly curious about the mysterious mentor Huo Sining mentioned, someone who wasn’t just a prodigy but had learned fishery, stone betting, treasure appraisal, and now Feng Shui. Despite these seeming side paths and non-mainstream, the girl’s accomplishments far surpassed those living for decades, not merely explained by exceptional talent. The only possibility is Huo Sining’s mentor must have taught her all his life’s knowledge.

No wonder Professor Xie was interested in Huo Sining’s mentor; truly, Huo Sining’s talent seemed supernatural, impossible to predict she’d have such a counter-heaven artifact. There are no graves in this world Huo Sining couldn’t survey.

At this moment, Professor Xie felt regretful; had he known she’d learned so many skills, he should’ve insisted on making her his apprentice, to not let Zhou Shitao benefit!

You see, when Huo Sining enrolled in S University, Zhou Shitao hadn’t met her yet. Clearly, she was next to the water, how did such a great talent slip away to someone else?!

No matter how troubled Professor Xie felt, the workers digging the ancient tomb continued their work, following the tomb’s structure diagram provided by Huo Sining, they located the excavation point and began digging directly.

A little over an hour later, amid rustling sounds, a hole large enough for people to enter was carved out of the mountainside.

Indeed, as Huo Sining stated, digging from this position resulted in the tomb chamber being supported by four large stone pillars around it; central excavation faced no obstacle, six to seven meters deep was all loose soil with no rock layer, neither collapsing nor encountering unbreakable giant rocks.
